Objective To study the effect of leukoreduction transfusion on improving medical quality. Methods The cases in our hospital which had RBC transfusion records in the past 3 years were collected and divided into two groups: leukoreduction group(LR) and non-leukoreduction group(NLR). Through statistical analysis, the items related to leukoreduction were found out and the differences in these items between the two groups were compared. Results Operation complication, non-operation complication, infectious rate, transfusion reactions and mortality rate in LR group were significantly lower than those in NLR group. The transfusion of single components-RBC had less clinical side-effect than the transfusion of complex components including RBC. Conclusions Leukoreduction transfusion can effectively improve clinical therapy and promote the medical quality.

AIM: To observe the growth inhibiting effect of antineoplastic polypeptide from Buthus Martensii venom(APBMV)on liver neoplasm METHODS: MTT calorimetric method, trypin blue exclusion, colony formation and H 22 -bearing mouse model RESULTS: The ability to metabolize MTT of SMMC-7721 cells was lower than control distinctly after the cells were treated by APBMV The IC 50 of APBMV was 11 3 ?g/mL The growth of SMMC-7721 cells was inhibited obviously by APBMV and the dose-response relationship was clear, the IC 50 were 15 87 ?g/mL,13 05 ?g/mL and 8 70 ?g/mL respectively The colony formation rate of SMMC-7721 cells was also decreased evidently compared with control when treated concentrations of APBMV were higher than 8 ?g/mL Tumor growth of H 22 -bearing mice was inhibited by APBMV evidently, the growth inhibiting rate was reached 37 31%( P

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of lentinan combined with conventional antituberculous therapy in women with pelvic tuberculosis. Methods A total of 90 women with pelvic tuberculosis were enrolled and recruited into a control group and a treatment group by random number table,45 in each group. The control group was treated with anti-tuberculosis program (2HRZE/4HRE),while the treatment group was treated with lentinan tablets on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated for 6 months.Serum levels of carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) and erythrocyte sedimentation rates (ESRs) were determined before and after treatment, and the therapeutic effect was evaluated. Results After treatment, the serum CA125 level (28.61 ± 9.08 U/ml vs.39.72 ± 12.13 U/ml;t=4.919,P<0.01) and the ESR (36.13 ± 8.33 mm/h vs.41.35 ± 12.45 mm/h;t=2.338,P<0.05) in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group. The negative rate of serum CA125 after treatment than before treatment in the treatment group (93.3% vs.20.0%;X2=46.335,P<0.01) and the control group (82.2% vs.8.9%;X2=37.396,P<0.01);but there was no difference in negative rate of serum CA125 after treatment between two groups (X2=1.6571,P=0.198).The total effective rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group (93.3% vs.77.8%;X2=4.406,P=0.036).Conclusion Lentinan combined with conventional antituberculous therapy is effective in treatment of pelvic tuberculosis in women.

Purpose To investigate the diagnostic value of dual energy CT spectrum curve combined with CT morphology in central lymph node metastasis of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC).Materials and Methods Thirty-one PTC patients who accepted dual energy CT double-phase enhanced scan before surgery were analyzed.Central lymph nodes with short diameter > 5 mm were labelled using axial plus 3D positioning.Preoperative labelled lymph nodes were collected and marked during operation. The CT morphology of metastatic lymph nodes was analyzed. The spectrum curve slope (K) difference between metastatic and non-metastatic lymph nodes of arterial-phase and venous-phase primary lesion was compared. The critical K value and the diagnostic efficacy of K value combined with morphology were obtained according to receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results A total of 73 central lymph nodes were obtained from 31 patients, among which 51 were metastatic and 22 were non-metastatic.There was no significant difference in K value between metastatic and non-metastatic lymph nodes of arterial phase group (P>0.05).While,there was a significant difference in K value between metastatic and non-metastatic lymph nodes of venous phase group (P<0.05).For venous phase, the sensitivity and specificity of the K value in diagnosing central lymph node metastasis were 62.7% and 59.1%,respectively,and combined with morphology, the sensitivity and specificity reached 76.5% and 81.8%,respectively.Conclusion The K value of CT spectrum curve is of certain significance in predicting PTC central lymph node metastasis, and the K value combined with CT morphology can improve the accuracy of diagnosis.

Objective To investigate the mechanism of regulating gastrointestinal motility by elec- troacupunturing point of"Zusanli"in rabbits. Methods Thirty adult rabbits were divided into control, electrical acupuncture point of"Zusanli"and non acupuncture point groups. The blood concentrations of motilin were detected at different times(before acupuncture and 15,30,45 and 60 min after acupunc- ture).Sixty min after acupuncture, the mice were sacrificed. The acetylcholine esterase and nitric oxide synthase(NOS)in gastric and jejunum tissues were examined. The electron microscope was used to observe the vesicles of nerve ending. Results The concentrations of motilin in electrical acupuncture group was significantly increased and reached the high peak at 45min.The activities of acetylcholine es- terase was increased significantly in electrical acupuncture group compared to control group[gastric tis- sue:(15 571?2876)pinel vs(9081?801)pinel,P

Microbiology 1992;0(01):-
This paper focuses mainly on the study of optimal fermentation conditions of S-adenosyl-L-methionine.Effects of carbon sources, nitrogen sources, inorganic constituents, growth factors and adding time of L-methionine on the yield, the content and biomass of S-adenosyl-L-methionine are studied. And ingredients of the culture medium are also optimized by the method of uniform design. The final optimum culture medium contains: glucose 30 g,Yeast powder 11 g,(NH_4)_2SO_4 12 g,K_2HPO_4?3H_2O 5 g,KH_2PO_4 10 g,MnSO_4?H_2O 0.09 g,ZnSO_4?7H_2O 0.14 g,MgCl_20.5 g,CaCl_2 0.3 g,CuSO_4 0.005 g per liter. Using that optimum culture medium, the yield of S-adenosyl-L-methionine can reach 0.9 g/L in Erlenmeyer flask which is 30 % higher than before.Experiment on 5 L fermenter reveals that the accumulation of S-adenosyl-L-methionine can reach 2.66 g/L.Biomass is 23.4 g/L.
