Objective To investigates the feasibility of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and diffusion tensor tracking (DTT) for evaluation of the effect of childbearing history on female pelvic floor muscles. Methods Forty-six healthy females were divided into two groups: nulliparous and primiparous. MR conventional sequences and DTI were acquired. The optimized FA threshold value was obtained by regulating the FA to fiber tracking. The two groups were compared in terms of ADC, FA, VRA and T2-WT. Results (1)The DTT of FA 0.18 got the highest score in fiber tracking . ( 2 ) The ADC of nulliparous subjects and the subjects who had given birth were (1.24 ± 0.11) ×10-3 mm2/s, (1.33 ± 0.11) ×10-3 mm2/s (P = 0.017). There were no statistical differences in FA, VRA and T2-WT between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusions The optimized FA threshold of fiber tracking in pelvic floor muscles is 0.18. DTI and DTT may be used to evaluate the effect of childbearing history on female pelvic floor muscles.

BACKGROUND: Osteochondral lesion of the talus is a common disease of foot and ankle surgery, which has the characteristics of high morbidity, high misdiagnosis rate and difficulty in curing. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the etiology, clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods, clinical grading, treatment methods, and new therapies such as cell therapy and tissue engineering for osteochondral lesion of the talus.METHODS: The first author retrieved PubMed databases for relevant articles. The keywords were "talus, cartilage". Initially, 535 articles were retrieved, and finally 70 articles were included in result analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Trauma is still considered to be the main pathogenic factor of talus cartilage injury. According to the imaging findings, the clinical scope of talar cartilage injury can be accurately determined. The clinically applied therapies have certain shortcomings and limitations. Tissue engineering-based therapies are currently the most likely to cure osteochondral lesion of the talus.

To explore the epidemiological character of Methicillin-resistant Stapkylococcus aureus (MRSA) by the phenotyping and genotyping motheds and to investgate the source, transmission, and the spread of nosocomial MRSA infection, consequently, reducing the nosocomial infection of MRSA. In this study, 19 MRSA strains were isolated from patients and environment in a hospital in two months. Patterns of resistantce against 16 antimicrobial agents and pulsed-field gel electrophoresis ( PFGE) of these strains were analyzed to find the relationship among those isolates Clustering analysis was made from the patterns. Some isolates with high homology was found in 19 MRSA, 11 of them belong to type A, and 8 of them belong to the same subtype A1. They were endemic in burn ward, oncological ward and ICU. In addition, 4 isolates were clustered into group B, all found in the same ward of burn unit Thus, our results indicated a outbreak of MRSA ( A type) in this hospital and the potential prevalence of MRSA (B type) , which might be mediated by health care stuff. It is essential to enhance the infection control implementation and to utilize the PFGE genotyping system for the real-time surveillance of MRSA.

Objective To obtain antibiotic-resistant mutants producing metabolites with antitumor activity from wild-type actinomycete strains without antitumor activity. Methods An actinomycete strain L35-1 was used as an initial strain for obtaining antibiotic-resistant mutants, which is a marine-derived wild-type strain without antitumor activity with an inhibition rate of 2.8% at the 1000 μg/ml of high sample concentration on K562 cells. The antibiotic-resistant mutants both from auto-mutagenesis and chemical mutagen-induced mutagenesis were selected by single colony isolation on antibiotic-containing plates according to the method for obtaining drug-resistant mutants in ribosome engineering. The antitumor activity was assayed by the MTT method using K562 cells for the mutants with aqueous acetone extracts of the whole broth of their fermentation. Results A total of 114 neomycin-resistant (ner) and 68 streptomycin-resistant (str) mutants, all from auto-mutagenesis, was obtained on drug-containing plates. Among them, the 7 ner and 3 str mutants appeared to be bioactive with an inhibition rate above 20% at the 100 μg/ml sample concentration on K562 cells. On the other hand, 41 str and 32 ner mutants from DES-induced mutagenesis and 46 ner mutants from NTG-induced mutagenesis were obtained by mutagen-induced mutation coupled with the single colony isolation on antibiotic-containing plates, among which, one str mutant from DES-induced mutagenesis and one ner mutant from NTG-induced mutagenesis were bioactive with an inhibition rate over 20% at the 100 μg/ml sample concentration on K562 cells. Conclusions The present result has revealed that the wild-type actinomycete strains without bioactivity might become a great source initial strains to obtain bioactive mutants by drug-resistant mutation technique.

Objective To explore the value of enhanced T2 star weighted angiography(ESWAN)in the treatment of uterine fibroids with high intensity focus ultrasound(HIFU) by analyzing the changes of ESWAN. Methods Uterine fibroids were detected through pelvic conventional MRI and ESWAN 1 day before and after HIFU operation. Different indexes of ESWAN were measured ,and differences were compared with the paired t-test. Results The preoperative and postoperative values of magnitude were 1624.59 ± 53.07 and 1750.13 ± 39.81, phase values were 0.0012 ± 0.0081 Hz and 0.0025 ± 0.1063 Hz,R2*value were 27.69 ± 1.27 Hz and 24.19 ± 1.20 Hz,and T2*values were 34.66 ± 2.07 ms and 36.46 ± 2.14 ms. After HIFU operation, magnitude value, phase value and T2*value were higher(P=0.04,P=0.91 and P=0.45),and R2*value was lower(P=0.019). Conclusions ESWAN can provide more information about histopathologic changes of uterine fibroids after HIFU.
