In recent years, more and more biological materials are used in bone defect repair. The ideal materials should not only have good biocompatibility, but also have the right space structure, surface morphology and the physical and chemical properties, to adapt the growth of osteoblasts. Calcium phosphate cement was used more widely among biological materials in bone defect repair with its good biocompatibility, degradability, osteoconductivity, injection, plasticity and other advantages. This paper introduced the experimental research and progress of the calcium phosphate cement application in bone defect repair.

Objective To study the distribution and molecular characteristics of Vibrio parahaemolyticus(VP) in patients with a‐cute diarrhea ,and provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of VP infection .Methods From 2010 to 2014 ,62 VP iso‐lates were collected from patients with acute diarrhea ,for serotyping and virulence gene (tdh and tdh) detection of VP .Molecular characteristics analysis was carried out by using multi‐locus sequence typing (MLST) .Results 7 different serotypes were found from the 62 isolates .O3∶K6 was the most common serotype of VP ,accounting for 74 .19% (46 isolates) ,followed by O4∶K68 (6 isolates) .Tdh gene was the mainly virulence gene ,with a percentage of 95 .16% (59 isolates) ,only three isolates were trh positive . 7 STs were found through MLST analysis of 62 VP isolates ,among which ,ST3 was the most important type ,accounted for 85 .50%(53 isolates) .Conclusion O3∶ K6 serotype VP was the most prevalent type .Tdh gene is the most important virulence gene of WP .ST3 was the the dominant epidemic type .

In addition, the authors concluded that syndrome differentiation was the treatment principle and correct approach was crucial to the final result.

OBJECTIVE:To study the effects of metformin (MF)on serum sex hormone and leptin contents in ovariectormized female rats. METHODS: 40 SD rats were randomly divided into four groups: control group(normal saline 5 mL? kg-1?d-1,NS group),OVX group(normal saline 5 mL?kg-1?d-1),OVX+low and high dosage MF group(135,270 mg? kg-1?d-1,MFlow and MFhigh group),all group were ig drugs for 30 days on end.The serum sex hormone indexes including E2,P,LH,LSH and leptin content were measured with RIA. RESULTS:Compared with NS group,the serum E2 and P content were significantly lower(P0.05). CONCLUSIONS: MF can significantly improve sex hormone secretion and lower serum content of LEP in OVX rats.

Objective:To investigate the curative effect and prognostic factors of primary liver cancer(PHC) treated with radical resection combined with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE).Methods:A retrospective analysis was used to analyze the clinical data of 136 cases of PHC patients treated in Qianjiang Central Hospital of Hubei Province from January 2008 to January 2012,the 86 cases received radical resection and postoperative adjuvant TACE treatment of patients as the observation group,and the remaining 50 cases only with radical resection in the treatment of patients were selected as control group.After 6 months of treatment,the level of tumor markers Carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),alpha fetoprotein(AFP),CA199 and alanine aminotransferase(ALT) in two groups were observed and compared.The survival status and prognostic factors of the two groups were compared.Results:After 6 months of treatment,the leve of tumor markers CEA,AFP,CA199 and ALT in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05);The 1-year,2-year,and 3-year survival rate of the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group;Univariate analysis showed that the differentiation degree,tumor size,lymph node metastasis,vascular tumor thrombus,CA199 concentration factors and the observation group patients (radical resection and postoperative adjuvant TACE) postoperative survival period (P＜0.05);Further multivariate analysis showed that the degree of differentiation,lymph node metastasis and CA199 concentration were the important factors influencing the prognosis of patients with TACE after radical resection (P＜0.05).Conclusion:Radical resection combined with TACE in the treatment of PHC has well clinical curative effect,which can effectively improve the postoperative long-term survival rate.Degree of differentiation,lymph node metastasis,and CA199 concentration are important factors impacting the radical resection operation adjuvant TACE prognosis.

Objective To investigate the value of cluster cate forpatients with ventilator-associated pneumo-nia (VAP) in the intensive care unit. Method Three hundred fifty-four consecutive patients with mechanical ven-tilation support in the Emergency Intensive Care Unit of Nanjing First Hospital from January 2006 to September 2007 were included in this study. The cluster care included elevating patient's head and chest to at least 30 de-grecs to the horizontal level, intensiving frequency of oral-pharyngeal nursing with thorough suction, washing hands, changing ventialtor tube at shorter regular interval, closely observing temperature, sputmn, WBC count, pu-turn, white blood cell count, chest X-ray examination and respiratory tract bacterial culture etc. Another 398 me-chanical ventilated patients with conventional care in the Hospital from January 2004 to November 2005 were taken as control. The t -test and X2 -test were used for analysis. Results The morbidity of VAP was significantly de-creased after cluster care(16.6 % vs. 24.6% P<0.01), the length of intensive care unit stay (LOS) was shorter in patients with cluster care than those in patients of control [(10.75±5.86) d vs. (14.26±9.40) d, P <0.05]. Conclusions Pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation can be effectively reduced by the cluster care.

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of implanted drug delivery system (DDS) in patients with inoperable pancreatic carcinoma.Methods During 1998 to 2004,145 patients with no indication for operation were randomly divided into two groups.In 73 patients with regional interventional chemotherapy group (group A),percutaneous left subclavain artery port-catheter DDS implantation with the tip in common hepatic artery was performed, and regional chemotherapy infusion were done in every 1 to 2 month. In 72 patients with systemic chemotherapy group (group B), the chemotherapy were given via peripheral vein in every 1 to 2 month. The FAM(adriamycin 40 mg/m2+mitomycin 6 mg/m2+fluorouracil 375 mg/m2) were selected in two groups. Results In group A, after 2-10 (average 7.6) cycles of chemotherapy, 4 patients reached complete release (CR) and 49 patients reached partial release (PR). In group B, after 1-7 (average 3.8) cycles of chemotherapy, no patient reached CR and 25 patients reached PR. The effective ratio was 60.2% and 34.7% in group A and B, respectively. The survival time ranged from 3 to 34 months (median 13.5 months) in group A and 1 to 13 months (median 6.2 months) in group B. Among the 56 patients with obstinate pain in group A, 27 patients were free of pain and 22 patients got partially alleviation 2-3 weeks after chemotherapy. Among the 54 patients with obstinate pain in group B, 11 patients were free of pain and 14 patients got partially alleviation 2-3 weeks after chemotherapy. The pain-releasing ratio in group A and group B was 87.5% and 46.3%. There were no severe damage of liver, kidney, heart and bone marrow in group A. Twenty five patients in group A experienced mild digestive side-effect and decrease of white blood cells, all of them completed the chemotherapy. In group B, 3 patients experienced bone marrow arrest, one died of severe damage of liver and kidney, and 67 patients displayed digestive side-effect and decrease of white blood cells. Objective To study the effect of electrical stimulation of the fastigial nucleus of the cerebellum (FNS) on learning,memory and the expression of growth-association protein-43 (GAP-43) after cerebral ischemia and reperfusion.Methods Sixty healthy,adult,male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a normal group,a sham-operation group (sham group),a model group and an FNS group,with 15 rats in each.Left middle cerebral artery occlusion and reperfusion (MCAO/R) was administered to the rats in the FNS and model groups using the thread embolism method.The rats of the FNS group were given FNS treatment using a pair of needle electrodes inserted into the cerebellar fastigial nucleus 3hrs after the MCAO/R.Needle electrodes were similarly inserted in the model group rats,but no electrical stimulus was applied.Then the rats' learning and memory abilities were tested using a Morris water maze on days 1,3 and 7 after the MCAO/R modeling.The expression of GAP-43 mRNA on the side of the cerebral infarction was detected using a quantitative,real-time polymerase chain reaction.Results The average escape]atencies of the rats in the model and FNS groups were significantly longer than those of the normal and sham groups at all time points,but the FNS group rats demonstrated a significantly shorter average escape latency than the rats of the model group at each time point.The normal and sham groups showed a significantly lower expression of GAP-43 mRNA than the model and FNS group rats at all time points.The FNS group rats had a significantly higher level of GAP-43 mRNA than the rats of the model group.Conclusion FNS improved the rats' learning and memory abilities.This might be associated with the up-regulation of GAP-43 mRNA in neurons on the side of the cerebral infarction which could promote the regeneration and repair of peripheral nerve axons in the area of the infarction.

Objective To analyze the serum nucleosome and antinucleosome antibody (AnuA) in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and their role in the pathogenesis of disease. Methods Sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay technique was used to detect the level of nucleosome in serum of 33 SLE patients, 31 other rheumatic diseases (including primary Sj?觟gren′s syndrome, ploymyositis, dermatomyositis and systemic sclerosis) and 30 healthy controls. Results The level of sera nucleosome of SLE was much lower than that of patients with other rheumatic diseases and healthy controls (P
