Post-infectious bronchiolitis obliterans(PIBO) is a rare serious chronic lung disease characterized by irreversible small airway fibrosis.Lower respiratory infections are the most common causes in children.Its major clinical characteristics are recurrent or persistent cough, wheezing, shortness of breath, hypoxia, crackles, and persistent for above 6 weeks.Clinical diagnosis mainly depends on clinical manifestations, lung function and high-resolution CT examination.At present, there is no unified standard of treatment, mainly empirical treatment.Most of the children have a poor prognosis, and a small number of children can achieve good results through early diagnosis and intervention.

ObjectiveTo observe behavioral changes and the dynamic expression of cyclooxygenase-1(COX-1) in the spinal cord of rats after unilateral sciatic cryoneurolysis(SCN).Methods72 male SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: normal control group(N, n=6), sham group(S, n=33) and cryoneurolysis group(C, n=33). The mechanical withdrawal threshold and autotomy assession were assessed before and 1, 2, 4 weeks after operation and COX-1 immunohistochemistry was performed on L4-6 spinal cord in 6 rats.ResultsFollowing SCN, rats exhibited significant bilateral tactile hypersensitivity until 4 weeks after operation. Furthermore, we observed autotomy peaked in severity and incidence (in 40% of rats, 1 weeks and 43.8%, 2 weeks ) 1 to 2 weeks after SCN. The COX-1 expression in dorsal horn of the spinal cord in group C was significantly higher than group S 2 and 4 weeks after operation (P<0.05).ConclusionCOX-1 plays an important role in spinal cord pain processing and central sensitization after SCN.

Objective To assess the effects of hypothermia induced by 4 ℃ normal saline (NS) on biochemical function, enzymology and morphology of liver in swine after the success of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for cardiac arrest(CA). Method The swine were resuscitated with standard CPR 4 minutes after ventricular fibrillation(VF) ,and the survived swine were randomly(random number) divided into two groups. In hypothermia(LT) group (n = 5), swine were treated with continuous infusion of 4 ℃ NS at the speed of 1.33 mL/(kg·min) for 22 min, and then slow the speed to 10 mL/(kg·h) for 4 h. In normothermia (NT) group ( n= 5) swine were treated with the infusion of NS with room temperature instead of cryogenic NS at the same speed as the LT group. The hemodynamics and the changes of blood gas were monitored until 4 h after restoration of spontaneous circulation (ROSC), and blood samples were taken to detect serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) before VFand 10 min, 2 h and 4 h after ROSC. All swine were sacrificed 24 hours after ROSC, and their liver tissues were taken away for detecting Na+ -K + -ATP enzyme and Ca2+ -ATP enzyme as well as the histological changes under both light and electron microscopy. ResultsThe heart rate, MAP, cardiac output(CO) and coronary perfusion pressure(CPP) of swine were stable in LT group ( P ＞ 0.05). The AST, ALT and LDH increased in both groups but less in LT group. The hepatic ATP enzyme activity was much higher in LT group ( P ＜ 0.05). Compared with the NT group, there were less cellularedema,necrosis or inflammatory cells infiltration, and better morphosis of mitochondria of livers found in swine of LT group. Conclusions The continuous administration of 4 ℃ NS after ROSC could quickly lower the core body temperature, and it could keep hemodynamics and oxygen metabolisms stable, protecting the biochemical function,enzymology and morphology of liver in swine after CPR.

Because of the exists of minimal residual disease(MRD), children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often suffer from recurrence. Dendritic cells (DC) play a pivotal role in the body's anti-tumor immune response through taking up tumor antigens to stimulate the body's immune system.Therefore it has become a hotspot due to DC's immunotherapy of clearing MRD in the body of children with ALL. This review discusses the DC characteristics, the immune escape mechanism associated with DC and the use of DC's immunotherapy in children with ALL.

Objective:To investigate the physical morphology of the root canal taper in human maxillary and mandibular permanent first molars.Methods: Forty maxillary and 44 mandibular extracted human permanent first molars were investigated.The roots were dissected transversely from their apical foramen vertical to the long axis of the root,and 1-mm-thick serial sections were made.The root apex side of each section was observed with a stereomicroscope at 30? magnification.The maximum and minimum canal diameters were measured at 0,1,2,and 3 mm from the apical foramen.The physical canal taper in the apical section was calculated.Results: 47.5%-60.0% of the narrowest diameter of root canals were present at the foramen,and 25.0%~42.5% located at the level of 1 mm from apical foramen.Almost all physical configurations of root canals in 3 mm apical region showed a bottleneck-like taper.Canal dia-meters increased rapidly at 1-2 mm with the biggest taper,and the taper had a bigger variance(0.07-0.35).The ring of shrunken bottleneck was formed at the level of 1 mm from apical foramen.The taper of canal in maximal diameter was larger than the one in minimal diameter.Conclusion: The physical morphology of bottleneck-like taper in apical canal was helpful to locate the canal apical stop in root canal treatment.

Objective To investigate the relationship between CD+3CD28+T cell value and chemotherapeutic efficacy in patients with advanced digestive cancer. Methods 38 digestive cancer patients with distant metastatic lesion were included.10 healthy persons were as control group. The absolute counts of CD+3CD28+T cell were measured with flow eytometry in these patients before chemotherapy. All patients received chemotherapy, gastric cancer: DCF regimen (docetaxel plus tegafur and cisplatin, one cycle), colorectal cancer:. Folfox regimen (L-OHP plus tegafur, two cycles), esophageal cancer: mitomycin plus tegafur and cisplatin (two cycles), gallbladder or pancreatic cancer: gemzar plus tegafur and cisplatin (one cycle). According to WHO standard, the chemotherapeutic efficacy was determined, 38 patients were divided into three groups: CR+PR (complete remission plus partial remission), SD (stable of disease) and PD (progress of disease) group. Statistical analysis was used upon all data. Results There was no significant difference in value of CD+3CD28+ T cell between CR+PR group and control group (P=0.549). The value of CD+3CD28+ T cell in SD group and PD group were significantly decreased (P=0.002, P=0.000). The value of CD+3CD28+T cell in CR+PR group was more than that in PD group (P =0.001), while in SD group was more than in PD group (P = 0.044). Conclusion The efficacy is poor, if the value of CD+3CD28+ T cell in patients with advanced digestive cancer is less than that of in healthy persons in peripheral blood. Therefore, the value of CD+3CD28+ T cell is important for the early prediction of the efficacy before chemotherapy.
