Objective To investigate the correlation of coronary heart disease with the RDW(red blood cell distribution width) and UA(uric acid)level .Methods Chose 150 cases of coronary heart disease patients in our hospital(CHD group) ,at the same time selected 120 healthy cases as a normal control(control group) .Measured the RDW ,red blood cell (RBC) ,hemoglobin(Hb) ,mean corpuscular volume (MCV) ,white blood cell count(WBC) ,platelets(PLT) ,UA ,serum creatinine(Cr) ,blood urea nitrogen(BUN) , lipids four of the patients whose were selected ,then analyzed the data .Results The RDW(13 .34 ± 0 .73)% were significantly in-creased in CHD group compared with RDW (12 .45 ± 0 .86)% in the control group;The UA (378 .32 ± 67 .20)μmol/L were also significantly increased in CHD group compared with UA(302 .21 ± 66 .46)μmol/L in the control group(P<0 .05) .Conclusion RDW and UA has an important significance for the diagnosis of CHD .

AIM:To investigate the effects of cancerous inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2A (CIP2A) over-ex-pression on the proliferation and apoptosis of gastric epithelial cells .METHODS:The mRNA expression of CIP2A and cy-clin D1 in the tissues of normal gastric mucosa and gastric polyps was detected by RT -qPCR.The GES-1 cells were divided into control group, Ad-emp group and Ad-CIP2A group.The cell proliferation ability was detected by MTT assay and BrdU assay , and the cell apoptosis was analyzed by flow cytometry .The expression of apoptosis-related molecules was determined by Western blot and RT-qPCR.The levels of inflammatory cytokines were measured by ELISA after GES-1 cells were infec-ted with Ad-emp and Ad-CIP2A.Furthermore, the protein levels of p-Rb, E2F1 and cyclin D1 in the GES-1 cells was de-termined by Western blot after transfected with E2F1 siRNA.RESULTS:The expression of CIP2A and cyclin D1 in ade-nomatous gastric polyps tissues was significantly higher than that in normal gastric mucosa tissues , and no significant change of that between hyperplastic gastric polyps tissues and normal gastric mucosa was observed .After transfected with CIP2A, the proliferation ability of GES-1 cells was increased , the cell apoptosis was inhibited , the concentrations of IL-1βand IL-10 was up-regulated and the protein levels of p-Rb, E2F1 and cyclin D1 were increased, while the protein levels of p-Rb, E2F1 and cyclin D1 were significantly decreased after transfected with E2F1 siRNA.CONCLUSION: CIP2A promotes the proliferation and inhibits the apoptosis of GES-1 cells by activating Rb/E2F1.

Objective To search for a candidate DNA vaccine of Fasciola hepatica. Methods Using RT-PCR and digestion with Hind III and BamHI, Fasciola hepatica secreted cathepsin L1(FheCL1) cDNA was cloned into the expression vector pcDNA3.1. Results The cloning was successful, the cDNA sequence and its deduced amino acid sequence were analyzed. There was much difference between the cloned FheCL1 and the published one. But the first 20 residues of their amino acid sequences were the same. Conclusion The recombinant plasmid pcDNA3.1-FheCL1 may be a new type of candidate DNA vaccine candidate for Fasciola hepatica. It is possible that Fasciola hepatica presents different sub-species but their amino acid residues (1 to 20) encoded by FheCL1 might build up membrane spanning helix.

Objective To discuss cultivation of higher vocational nursing talents in the model of learning and working rotation during the cooperation of school and hospital. Methods Students were cultivated by two years school study, two years learning and hospital work rotation and one year hospital position practice which was adopted as an "221" mode by means of organizational leadership,agreed safeguard and co-management. Half day learning and half day practice in four learning situation which have been transformed from the real professional workplace. Results Scores of professional core courses and operation skills had been improved significantly; Students cultivated by "221" mode had more superiority on the aspects of post adaptability, hand skills, communication skills and the ability of linking theory to practice. Conclusions The model of learning and working rotation during the cooperation of school and hospital is the important way of cultivating higher vocational nursing talents.

Objective:To study the natural progress of chronic periodontitis and its association with IL-1 genetic polymorphisms.Methods:166 subjects with chronic periodontitis were examined at baseline and in 1 year after 1st visit by measuring the probing depth(PD),attachment loss(AL) and bleeding on probing on 6 sites of each tooth.DNA samples were obtained with buccal swabbing technique and genotyped for IL-1-889 and IL-1+3954 genetic polymorphisms with PCR-RFLP in 111 cases of the subjects.Results:The mean PD,AL increace was 1.12 mm and 1.628 mm respectively within 1 year.249 teeth had more than 2 mm attachment loss over one year period in 94 patients.There was no significant difference for the distribution and frequency of IL-1A-889 genotypes and alleles between the rapidly progressive group(with AL≥2 mm at least one site) and the non-rapidly progressive group.The distribution of IL-1B+3954 genotype 1/2 and the frequency of the allele 2 were significantly higher in the rapidly progressive group than that in the non-rapidly progressive group(P

Objective: To study the probiotic properties of 12 selected strains of lactobacilli.Methods: The probiotic properties of 12 selected strains of lactobacilli were investigated for their resistance to pH 2.5 and 0.3% oxgall,their adhesion to Caco-2 cells and antimicrobial activity against enteric pathogenic bacteria.Results: The 12 strains all showed relatively high resistance to acid and bile salt and varied antimicrobial activities against pathogenic bacteria of intestinal infection.Lactobacillus johnsonii JCM1022 exhibited a broad inhibitory effect on enteric pathogenic bacteria,especially on enteropathgenic E.coli and Salmonella enteritidis,while Lactobacillus reuteri JCM1081 possessed a high activity of adhesion to Caco-2 cells(495.07?80.03).Conclusion: Among the 12 strains,Lactobacillus johnsonii JCM1022 and reuteri JCM1081 are qualified candidates for clinical application.

Objective To study the value of unenhanced and dynamic contrast-enhanced MR imaging in follow-up of liver carcinomas after gamma knife therapy.Methods 57 patients examined by MR imaging after gamma knife therapy were analyzed retrospectively,and compared with outcome of AFP.Results Lesions treated with gamma knife therapy on precontrast imaging showed 4 kinds of appearances:(1) Slightly low signal intensity on T1WI and slightly high signal intensity on T2WI.(2)Slightly low signal intensity on both T1WI and T2WI.(3)Slightly high signal intensity on T1WI,isointensity and slightly high signal heterogeneous intensity on T2WI.(4)Slightly high signal intensity on both T1WI and T2WI.The necrotic lesions showed sustained ring-shaped or honeycomb enhancement or patching enhancement in hepatic tissue around the lesions with lesions unenhancing.Recurrent lesions or new lesions were enhanced in arterial phase,followed by rapid wash-out in the delay phase.The rate of completely necrosis was 93.5% in small liver carcinoma group(

Objective: To examine the distribution of IL-1B+3953 genotypes of Han nationality people with different periodontal health status and to evaluate if there is an association between the genotype of IL-1B+ 3953 and the severity of periodontitis. Methods: 271 subjects of Han nationality were selected, among them there were 85 cases with severe chronic perioodontitis(group①), 97 cases with light and mild chronic periodontitis (group ②) and 89 subjects of periodontal healthy control(group ③). Full periodontal examinations were taken including clinical periodontal tissue attachment loss measurements of full-mouth, periodontal pocket depths and bleeding on probing. DNA samples were obtained with buccal swabbing technique and were further analyzed for IL-1B+3953 genotype polymorphisms using PCR-RFLP-based method. Objective To improve the early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of adrenal incidentalomas to guide clinical management of this disease. Methods One hundred and twenty-eight cases were diagnosed as adrenal incidentalomas due to health examination or treatment of other than adrenal disease,including 60 males and 68 females,whose ages were between 20 and 75 years,with a mean age of 50 years.Tumor diamer:＜3 cm 63 cases,3-6 cm 6 cases,＞6 cm 10 cases.128 patients all had biochemical and electrolyte examination,adrenal cortex and medulla biochemical testing,abdominal ultrasound and CT examination,6 cases with MRI examination.Surgery and post operative pathological examination were performed in all patients. Results Post operative pathology finally diagnosed adrenocortical adenoma in 85 cases,pheochromocytoma in 13 cases,adrenal cyst in 8 cases,paraganglioma and myeiolipoma in 7 eases respectively,adrenal nodular hyperplasia in 4 cases,adrenocortical carcinoma in 2 cases,adrenoconical oncocytoma,cellular Schwannoma and adrenal liposarcoma in 1 case,respectively.One case of pheochromocytoma patients died of intraoperative hypotension,which is not included in the total number. Conclusions The preperative diagnosis of adrenal incidentalomas is difficult.For adrenal incidentalomas with diameter more than 6 cm and those with endocrine function,early surgicM treatment is recommended.
