Schistosomiasis hematobia is one major human schistosomiasis. The disease is endemic in Africa and Mediterra-nean region, and is the main cause of urogenital diseases. Although only Schistosoma japonicum is spreading across the Main-land China, now more schistosomiasis hematobia cases are reported among aid projects and migrant workers to Africa, with the economy development and the increasing degree of foreign exchanges. Meanwhile, the relevant clinical data of schistosomiasis hematobia are rare in China. This article reviews the clinical manifestations and progress in diagnosis and treatment of the dis-ease.

Objective To observe the effect of muscone on the blood-brain barrier and neuropathological changes after complete cerebral ischemia/reperfusion of rats. Methods The global cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury model was established by the four-vessel occlusion(4VO) method, and then the model animals were given high-,middle-and low-dose muscone.Meanwhile,sham-operation group, model group, and positive control group were also set up.The rats neuroethology behavior, and the contents of superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA) and excitatory amino acid(EAA) in ischemic brain tissue were examined. Results Muscone increased SOD content, lowered MDA content, reduced the increase of EAA content caused by ischemia and hypoxia, and inhibited the excitatory neurotoxicity caused by EAA.Conclusion Muscone has obvious protective effect on rats with complete cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.

Objective To develop an HPLC method for the determination of chlorogenic acid in Xiao'er Yinniu Granula. Methods A Phenomenex ODS C18 column (4.6 mm?250 mm,5 ?m) was used, column temperature was at 20 ℃,methanol-0.4 %phosphoric acid water solution(20:80)was used as the mobile phase, the flow rate was 1 mL?min-1,and the detection wavelength was 327 nm.Results The calibration curve of chlorogenic acid was linear between 0.284~1.704 ?g (r=0.999 6),the average recovery and the relative standard deviation were 96.19 %and 1.16 %(n=5),respectively.Conclusion The method is simple, accurate and reproducible,by whihc chlorogenic acid can be better separated from Xiao'er Yinniu Granula. This method can be used for quality control of Xiao'er Yinniu Granula.

OBJECTIVETo compare the influence of different Bupleurun chinense composition to the degree of hepatotoxicity damage to rats and oxidative damage mechanism.
METHODTo successively lavage alcohol extracted and water extracted B. chinense composition to rats for 30 days, the general conditions were observed and the related index of liver function, the content of total-SH in serum, the content of MDA, the activity of SOD and the content and activity of GSH and GSH-Px in serum and liver tissue were detected.
RESULTAlcohol and water extracted B. chinense composition all could induce the increases of the activity of ALT and AST in serum, liver weight and the ratio of liver to body, and the content of MDA and induce the decreses of the content of total -SH in serum, the content of GSH, and the activity of SOD and GSH-Px in serum and liver tissue. The above-mentioned changes gradually aggravated with dose increasing, and there was significant difference compared with control group with distilled water.
CONCLUSIONThe different B. chinense composition all can induce hepatotoxicity damage, and the channel of hepatic damage is related with the peroxidative damage mechanism. The degree of hepatotoxicity damage caused by the alcohol extracted composition is more serious than that by the water extracted composition.

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficiency of gastrocnemius muscle flap combined with antibiotics loaded calcium sulfate in the treatment of postoperative infection and plate exposure of tibial plateau fracture in elderly patients. Methods:From January, 2015 to May, 2019, 21 elderly patients with postoperative infection and plate exposure of tibial plateau fracture were treated, including 14 males and 7 females with an average age of 72.6 years, ranging from 61 to 82 years. The average course of disease was 22.7 days, ranging from 6 to 91 days. The site of wound infection was at medial in 8 cases, lateral in 9 cases and bilateral in 4 cases. The size of wound ranged from 2.0 cm×3.5 cm to 5.0 cm×12.0 cm. All wounds were implanted with antibiotics loaded calcium sulfate and repaired by gastrocnemius muscle flap combined with skin graft after debridement. Muscle flap survival, wound healing, inflammatory index, fracture healing and knee joint function were recorded. The curative effect was evaluated by McKee infection treatment criteria and the knee joint function was evaluated by HSS scoring criteria. Results:All 21 muscle flaps survived. In 1 case, skin graft necrosis occurred in a small area, and the wound healed well after dressing change. One case had exudation which was clear and the bacterial culturing was negative, and the wound healed after 2 weeks of dressing change. The other incisions were healed in stage I, and the healing rate was 90%. All patients were followed-up for an average of 28.7(16-39) months. The redness and swelling occurred in 1 case without exudation after 2 months which disappeared after anti-infection treatment and didn't recur again. The infection recurred in 1 case after 5 months, and it which was controlled after debridement and plate removal. According to McKee criteria, 19 cases were cured, 1 improved and 1 recurred with an effective rate of 95.2%. The fracture healing time was from 3 to 7 months, with an average of 4.6 months. According to HSS scoring criteria, the knee joint function was excellent in 12 cases, good in 7 cases and moderate in 2 cases. Conclusion:After thorough debridement, gastrocnemius muscle flap combined with antibiotic loaded calcium sulfate can effectively control the infection, repair the wound, promote fracture union and restore limb function in the treatment of postoperative infection and plate exposure of tibial plateau fracture in elderly patients.

Objective To analyze the posterolateral minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) in the treatment of medial open fractures of distal tibia and tibial shaft. Methods From May 2016 to September 2017,16 medial open fractures of distal tibia and tibial shaft were treated with posterolateral MIPO at Department of Orthopaedics,The First Affiliated Hospital to Anhui University of Science and Technology. They were 10 men and 6 women, from 22 to 61 years of age(average,36.5 years).According to the Gustilo-Anderson classification, type Ⅰ fracture was identified in 5 patients, type Ⅱ fracture in 6 and type Ⅲ fracture in 5.Initially,all the patients received emergency external fixation or calcaneus traction before open reduction and internal fixation was performed when their conditions of soft tissue allowed.X-ray examination of the ankle joint with anteroposterior and lateral views was performed before and after operation. At the last follow-up,the function of ankle joint was evaluated according to the ankle-hindfoot score of American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS).Results All the 16 patients were followed up for an average of 15.3 months (from 8 to 24 months).Fracture healing was achieved in all after an average time of 26.1 weeks (from 20 to 36weeks).There were no such complications as skin necrosis, wound dehiscence, deep infection, implants exposure or failure,or impingement of the flexor hallucis longus. The AOFAS ankle scores averaged 88.6 points (from 74 to 95 points),giving 9 excellent,6 good and one fair cases.Superficial infection occurred in 2 patients but healed after dressing care.Another case showed 5°varus deformity. Conclusion Application of posterolateral MIPO in the treatment of medial open fractures of distal tibia and tibial shaft can effectively protect the medial soft tissue, reduce postoperative wound complications, and safely expose, reduce and fixate the tibial fragments, leading to satisfactory outcomes.
