Journal of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University 2014;(1):13-16,21
[Objective] Analyze six differences between TCM and western medicine, which are raised by professor Chen Yi, in order to return the origin of TCM and cal on inheritance. [Methods] This article summarizes insightful views on the inheritance, development and innovation of TCM by professor Chen Yi from fol owing six differences between TCM and western medicine, as theory, thinking, culture, therapy, medication and disease cognition. [Re-sults] TCM, whose theory is based on principle, uses macro-control thinking, roots in Chinese culture, pays attention to syndrome differentiation, chooses one formula for one TCM type, masters herbs by drug properties theory and regards the healthy standard as harmony. While, western medicine, whose theory is based on reality, adopts the micro causal thinking, establishes on western culture, pays attention to disease diagnosing, uses one drug to treat one kind of disease, il ustrates western medicine by molecular formula and copes with causes or lesions of diseases. [Conclusion] Professor Chen Yi analyzes the six differences between TCM and western medicine and emphasizes TCM should be developed and innovated on the basis of inheritance, which is ful of enlightenment in methodology.
3.Clinical characteristics and treatments of Klebsiella pneumoniae infections
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2016;23(1):23-27
Klebsiella pneumoniae is one of the most important gram-negative bacteria clinically. Klebsiella infections are seen mostly in people with a weakened immune system.Klebsiella can cause infec-tions in the respiratory tract, urinary tract, lower biliary tract, and surgical wound sites. The range of clinical diseases includes pneumonia, thrombophlebitis, urinary tract infection, pyogenic liver abscess,cholecystitis,di-arrhea,upper respiratory tract infection, wound infection, osteomyelitis, meningitis, and bacteremia and septi-cemia.The most common condition caused by Klebsiella bacteria is pneumonia, and the worst condition is septic shock.Klebsiella organisms are often resistant to multiple antibiotics.Klebsiella with the ability to pro-duce extended-spectrum beta-lactamases is resistant to many classes of antibiotics. Therefore, prevent sprea-ding Klebsiella infections and give effective treatment to patients are most important task for us.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2013;20(21):3278-3280
Objective To study the effect of letrozole plus metformin on infertility of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).Methods According to the digital table,90 patients with infertility of PCOS were randomly divided into the control group(n =45 cases) and the treatment group(n =45 cases). The patients of the control group were treated though clomiphene, while the patients of the treatment group were treated though letrozole plus metformin. The ovulation rate, pregnancy rate, sex hormones and insulin resistance were detected. Results The homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) was (5.72 ± 2.37) before treatment and (3.16 ± 1.39) after treatment in the treatment group.HOMA-IR was (5.69 ± 2.40) before treatment and (4.81 ± 2.06) after treatment in the control group. There was a significantly decrease in the treatment group (t =3.7246,P < 0.05).The ovulation rate was 80% in the treatment group, while 60% in the control group, the difference between the two groups was significant(x2 =4.06,P <0.05).The pregnancy rate was 48.9% in the treatment group, while 28.9% in the control group, the difference between the two groups was significant (x2 =5.77,P < 0.05).Conclusion Letrozole plus metformin could promote the ovulation and decrease insulin resistance.
5.The clinicopathologic characters and prognosis of cervical cancer in 831 young women under 35 years old
China Oncology 1998;0(04):-
Background and purpose:Several prior studies have evaluated that the overall incidence of cervical cancer has decreased in the past 30 years, while it seems that the age of mortality is younger, especially young women under 35 years old. The prognosis of cervical cancer in young women still needs to be determined. The purpose of this study was to determine the main clinicopathologic characteristics of cervical cancer in young women aged under 35 years and the influence of age on prognosis. Methods:A retrospective review was performed for 831 patients under 35 years old , 1 737 cases over 35 years old was used as a control group. Clinical and pathologic variables including clinical stage, pathological type, tumor size, lymph node metastases(LNM),depth of invasion(DI) and lymphovascular space involvement (LVSI)were analyzed using Peason chi-squowe test. The 5-year survival and 2-year recurrence rates were analyzed by Kaplan-Meier method. Results:The younger patients were characterized by a higher rate of early stage with 64% vs 37.8% in control group(P=0.000),non-squamous cell carcinoma were 14.90% in the study group and 6.80% in the control group(P=0.000),bulky lesion were 52.00% vs 30.44%(P=0.000), LNM were 33.46% vs 23.93% (P=0.000),deep stroma invasion(DSI) were 51.88% vs 39.94% (P=0.005),There was no significant difference in LVSI for two groups with 37.03% in the young group and 38.26% in the control group (P=0.663).The clinical stage and tumor size of young patients were related with LNM,DI and LVSI(P

7.Application of ViabahnTM serf-expanding covered stent in endovascular repair of femoral pseudoaneurysm caused by intravenous drug injection: report of nine cases
Journal of Interventional Radiology 2017;26(2):123-127
Objective To discuss the feasibility, safety and validity of ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent in endovascular repair of femoral pseudoaneurysm caused by intravenous drug injection. Methods The clinical data of 9 patients with femoral pseudoaneurysm caused by intravenous drug injection, who were admitted to authors' hospital during the period from April 2014 to April 2015,were retrospectively analyzed. The pseudoaneurysms were located at the common femoral artery in 6 patients and at the superficial femoral artery in 3 patients.Endovascular repair with ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent was performed in all the 9 patients. The intraoperative angiographic findings, the sizes of the implanted stents, and the manifestations of the angiography performed immediately after stent implantation were recorded, after operation, the patients were kept under close observation to evaluate the improvement of clinical symptoms, the effect of pseudoaneurysm repair, and the occurrence of endoleak, stent infection,in-stent stenosisand fracture of stent.Anti-infection treatment was employed both before and after the stent implantation;after the stent implantation debridement and/or drainage for soft tissue infection area of inguinal region was adopted. Results Successful implantation of ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent was accomplished in all 9 patients, with a technical success rate of 100%.Angiography performed immediately after stent implantation showed that complete repair of pseudoaneurysm cavity was obtained in all 9 patients, the distal segment of the parent artery was patent, and no endoleak occurred. The patients were followed up for 6-12 months, and limb salvage was successful in all patients,no intermittent claudication or muscular atrophy occurred.CT angiographyreexamination showed that no endoleak, stent infection, stent fracture or in-stent stenosis occurred. Conclusion Under the conditions of adequate anti-infection,local debridement and drainage, the use of ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent can promptly close the break of femoral pseudoaneurysm to save the patient's life.Because of the excellent qualities, such as flexibility, adhesion and patency,of ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent, the postoperative occurrence of intermittent claudication, stent fracture and in-stent stenosis can be effectively reduced. It is expected that ViabahnTM self-expanding covered stent may become one of the vascular reconstruction methods for femoral pseudoaneurysm caused by intravenous drug injection, although its long-term curative effect needs to be further observed and verified.

10.Progress in diagnosis and treatment of pediatric microscopic polyangiitis
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2017;32(5):333-337
Microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) is an anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) associated systemic small vessel vasculitis and is uncommon in children.Pathologically characterized by paucity immune deposition, fibroid necrosis and crescent formation in glomeruli.MPA is a multi-organ involvement disease.Renal is the mostly involved and commonly manifested as aggressive glomerulonephritis.Lung is the most common involved extrarenal organ. Most MPA patients have positive myeloperoxidase-ANCA and positive perinuclear-ANCA.The onset of MPA is usually obscure, which makes early diagnosis difficult.Detection of ANCA is performed in order to discriminate suspected MPA patients earlier.Confirmed diagnosis relies on pathology.Early standardized treatment is a key factor in prognosis.Standard inductive treatment is currently the combination of corticosteroids with the cytotoxic agent cyclophosphamide.Azathioprine is suggested as the first-choice medication in maintenance therapy.Bio-agents,such as Rituximab, have shown good curative effect both in the inductive treatment and maintenance therapy.
