Objective To establish a mouse lethal model of influenza B virus , which will facilitate the study on the mechanism of pathogenesis , transmission of influenza B virus , development of new vaccines and drugs against influenza B virus.Methods We obtained a mouse adaptive B/Lee/1940 virus by continuously passaging it in mice for 5 cycles.The P5 virus was propagated in MDCK cells , which was used for infecting mice .The body mass and survival rate of mice were monitored during the following 14 days after infection.At the same time,the 8 gene segments (PB2, PB1, PA, HA, NA/NB, NP, M, and NS) of P0 and P5 virus were sequenced and analyzed .Results and Conclusion Virus was detected in the lungs of mice in each generation in the process of virus passaging .The body mass of mice infected with the deadly mouse adaptive virus changed dramatically .The mortality of mice was 100%, and virus was detected in mouse lungs . Sequence analysis results indicated that the amino acid mutations occurred in PB 2 and NP.A series of experiments indicated that we had established a mouse lethal model of influenza B virus .

BACKGROUND:Animal modeling has reported that psychological stress can lead temporomandibular joint disease in rats, and there wil be pathological changes.
OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of psychological stress on the expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor and transforming growth factor-β1 in rat temporomandibular joint condylar chondrocytes
METHODS:Forty-eight adult male Wistar rats were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group, 6 rats in the experimental group and 12 rats in the control group. Thirty-six Wister male adult rats in the experimental group were subjected to the fol owing stimulating factors, such as electroshock, keeping stil ness, climate change and food tempting in order to make them under psychological stress. Then, the experimental group rats were executed at 3 weeks after stimulation (3 weeks stimulation group), 6 weeks after stimulation (6 weeks stimulation group) and 6 weeks normal feeding after 6 week stimulation (recovery group), 12 rats were sacrificed at each time point. The 12 rats in the control group were executed at the same time as the last experimental group. The temporomandibular joint specimens were taken to produce slices.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The vascular endothelial growth factor-positive rate of recovery group was significantly larger than that of the 3 weeks stimulation group and the control group (P<0.05);transforming growth factor-β1 positive rate in the 6 weeks stimulation group was significantly greater than that in the control group (P<0.05). It indicated that vascular endothelial growth factor was related with the new blood capil aries repairing tissue, and transforming growth factor-β1 might play a role that stimulates bone resorption in psychological stress.

Objective To investigate the correlation between serum C-reactive protein (CRP) level and carotid atherosclerotic plaque calcification in patients with ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA).Methods The patients with non-cardiogenic ischemic stroke or TIA in anterior circulation performed head and neck vascular CTA at 1-6 months from the time of onset were enrolled prospectively.The demographic and clinical data were collected and serum CRP levels were detected.Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to determine the correlation between the serum CRP level and the carotid atherosclerotic plaque calcification.Results A total of 165 patients were enrolled.Their age was 62.4± 10.6years,male patients accotnted for 66.7％;113 patients (68.5％)had carotid atherosclerotic plaque calcification (calcification group),52 (31.5％) did not have carotid atherosclerotic plaque calcification (non-calcification group).The age of the calcification group (median,interquartlle;66 [58-73] years vs.58 [51-66] years;Z=-3.738,P＜0.001) and CRP levels (1.9 [0.5-3.8] mg/L vs.0.0 [0.0-2.2] mg/L;Z =-4.126,P ＜ 0.001) were significantly higher than those of the non-calcification group.There were no significant differences in other baseline clinical data between the two groups.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age (odds ratio 1.063,95％ confidence interval 1.024-1.104;P =0.001) and CRP levels (odds ratio 1.209,95％ confidence interval 1.030-1.419;P=0.020) were still significantly correlated with the plaque calcification after adjusting for other confounding factors.Conclucions Carotid plaque calcification was correlated with older age and increased serum CRP level in patients with ischemic stroke or TIA.

Objective By comparing the effects of different combined therapy,to explore the best therapy in prevention of intrauterine adhesions (IUA)after Transcervical resection of adhesions (TCRA).Methods Eighty patents with serious or moderate IUA were randomly divided into four groups.Group A:Artificial cycle combined with ball pouch,sodium hyaluronate gel.Group B:artificial cycle combined with intrauterine device(IUD),sodium hyalur-onate gel.Group C:large doses of estrogen drugs combined with ball pouch,sodium hyaluronate gel.Group D:large doses of estrogen drugs combined with IUD,sodium hyaluronate gel.Postoperative patients of TCRA were treated by the four therapies respectively for three months.All patients came back for hysteroscopy in one month and three months after operation.Results Following -up period was 6 -12 months.After three months treatment,the total endometrial cavity cure rate was 21.3%(17 /80),the total effective rate was 67.5%(54 /80).The cure rate of group C was 45.0%,which was obviously higher than those of the other three groups,the differences were statistically insig-nificant(group C vs.group A,χ2 =4.29,P <0.05;group C vs.group B,χ2 =6.14,P <0.05;group C vs.group D,χ2 =4.27,P <0.05).After three months treatment,the endometrial thickness were measured during ovulatory period. The thickness of group C was obviously thicker than those of the other three groups,the differences were statistically insignificant(group C vs.group A,t =10.28,P <0.01;group C vs.group B,t =12.80,P <0.01;group C vs.group D,t =5.02,P <0.01).Five months after the operation,in the aspect of menstrual blood volume,the total cure rate was 23.8%(19 /80),the total effective rate was 71.3%(57 /80).And the cure rate of group C was 45.0%,which was obviously higher than those of the other three groups,the differences were statistically insignificant(group C vs. group A,χ2 =4.29,P <0.05;group C vs.group B,χ2 =6.28,P <0.05;group C vs.group D,χ2 =4.27,P <0.05).Conclusion The therapy of large doses of estrogen drugs combined with ball pouch and sodium hyaluronategel can significantly improve the prognosis of serious or moderateIUA,and better than other combined therapies.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of metformin on sex hormone level,insulin resistance and related indexes in women with polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS). METHODS:79 PCOS women were collected as PCOS group,other 86 healthy women as control group. All patients received 0.85 g Metformin tablet,twice a day,for totally 6 months. Boby mass,BMI,waist circumference,hip circumference,ratio of waist to hip,glycated hemoglobin,T,DHEA-S,E2,LH,FSH,PRL,PROG,SHBG, FPG,FINS,LH/FSH,HOMA-IR and FAI before and after treatment in PCOS group were observed and compared with control group. RESULTS:During treatment,2 patients made withdrawal because of pregnancy,3 made withdrawal because of showing gastrointestinal side effects,2 were lost to follow,totally 72 completed it. After treatment,body mass,BMI,waist circumference, hip circumference,glycated hemoglobin,FINS,HOMA-IR,T,LH,LH/FSH,PROG,FAI in PCOS group were significantly low-er than before,SHBG was significantly higher than before,glycated hemoglobin and PROG were lower than control group,while waist circumference,FINS,HOMA-IR,LH/FSH and FAI were higher than control group,the differences were statistically signifi-cant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in ratio of waist to hip,FPG,DHEA-S,E2,FSH and PRL before and after treatment(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Metformin can effectively improve the sex hormone levels and insulin resistance of patients with PCOS.

OBJECTIVE To study the analytic method for assaying of glutaral concentration by enzyme-labeled device at one time.METHODS Controlled solution of glutaral and sample solution were taken out and kept until the room temperature.Optical density value was detected at 450 nm.Content of sample was calculated by comparison with the known concentration of glutaral.RESULTS In the range of 0.75-2.50%,concentration of glutaral had linear relationship with the optical density value.Reproductive test:relative average error was within 2%,RSD≤2.51%;interference test:oxidation-resistant-sodium nitrite could make the result negative error.0.1% Sodium nitrite could make the test result decrease by 1.5% relatively.CONCLUSIONS The method is simple,fast and convenient,with accuracy which has met the requirement of hospital infection monitoring and acceptable interfering range made by additives,which is highly practical.

Background and purpose:Single drug of docetaxel and pemetrexed as second line treatment is standard treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Whether combined with platinum can increase the response and survival is still not elucidated. This study was designed to investigate the treatment response, overall survival (OS) and the safety of combined with oxaliplatin or cisplatin regimens as second line in treating NSCLC patients. Methods:Advanced NSCLC inpatients, failure of cisplatin or carboplatin in initial treatment, were divided into three groups at random in 3∶2∶1 rate. Control group:who received docetaxel, 75 mg/m2 (for all patients), d1 or pemetrexed 500 mg/m2 (for non-squamous carcinoma);Cisplatin group:who received cisplatin 25 mg/m2, d1-3 and docetaxel/pemetrexed; Oxaliplatin group: who received oxaliplatin 130 mg/m2 d1 and docetaxel/pemetrexed. Every 3 weeks were repeated as one cycle. The side effect was assessed every cycle and treatment efifcacy was investigated every two cycles. Follow-up examination was taken every 3 months after treatment. Results:There were no differences in treatment response, progress free survival (PFS), OS and toxicity among the three groups (P>0.05). Old patients (≥60 years) had a better PFS than that of patients less than 60 years (HR=0.56, 95%CI:0.35-0.90, P=0.015). Patients with performance score 0-1 had a better PFS and OS (HR=1.52, 95%CI:1.01-2.30, P=0.048;HR=1.90, 95%CI:1.17-3.09, P=0.009). Treatment response had relation to PFS and OS (HR=2.93, 95%CI:2.01-4.26, P=0.000;HR=2.03, 95%CI:1.37-3.01, P=0.000). Patients with anemia after treatment tended to have a worse PFS and OS (HR=1.59, 95%CI:0.97-2.61, P=0.066;HR=1.60, 95%CI:0.94-2.75, P=0.085). Patients with thrombocytopenia after therapy had a worse OS (HR=2.97, 95%CI:1.01-8.78, P=0.049). Patients with neural toxicity after chemotherapy tended to have a worse PFS (HR=3.36, 95%CI:0.92-12.25, P=0.066). Patients received post treatment after second line therapy had a better OS (HR=0.36, 95%CI:0.22-0.61, P=0.000). Conclusion:Combined with oxaliplatin or cisplatin as second line treatment can’t improve the response and survival in NSCLC patient. Treatment response and PS are prognostic factors to NSCLC patients’ PFS and OS. Patients with treatment related anemia might have a worse survival. Post therapy after failure to second line chemotherapy can prolong the survival.

Objective To explore the influence of whole-course individualized nursing intervention on treatment compliance among intractable epilepsy children with ketogenic diet therapy.Methods 80 intractable epilepsy patients with ketogenic diet therapy were divided into the control group and the experimental group with 40 cases in each group.The routine nursing was given to the control group.On basis of routine nursing,whole-course individualized nursing intervention was given to the experimental group.The investigation was carried out before and after intervention in two groups by using self-designed questionnaire.The treatment compliance and therapeutic effect were compared between two groups.Results The treatment compliance and therapeutic effect were significantly alleviated in the experimental group compared with the control group in the third,sixth and twelfth months.Conclusions The whole-course individualized nursing intervention can improve the parental awareness of the disease,enhance their confidence and determination to adhere to the treatment,improve their treatment compliance,thereby improve the effect of treatment.
