In order to approach the mechanisms of Chinese drug Bu Sui Sheng Xue Instant Granules for tonifying kidney inhibiting apoptosis in the patient of chronic aplastic anemia (CAA), levels of soluble Fas (sFas), tumor necrosis factor (TNF-a), interleukin - 2 (IL - 2) before and after treatment were determined in 30 cases of CAA and Zai Zang Sheng Xue Tablet was used as control. Results indicated that expression of serum sFas, TNF - a and IL - 2 before treatment was significantly higher than those of the control group (P0. 05), and the IL-2 level still was higher than the normal (P

Objective To detect the correlation between the periodontal bone loss and carotid calcifications by using MSCT.Methods Imaging materials of 270 patients who were suspected atherosclerosis and underwent MSCT were retrospectively studied.According to the score of carotid calcification, the patients were divided into three groups:slight calcification group (carotid calcification score <100),severe calcification group (carotid calcification score ≥100),and normal control group (carotid calcification score=0).The original images were post-processed with volume rendering(VR),multi planar reformation(MPR),curved planar reformation(CPR)and maximum intensity projection (MIP)by using EBW4.5 workstation, and then the residual teeth number and the periodontal bone loss teeth were recorded in different groups. Results On MSCT,the carotid calcification score and the number of periodontal bone loss were displayed clearly. The number of the periodontal bone loss teeth in the calcification groups were significantly higher than those in the normal control group(P<0.01).Furthermore,the number of the periodontal bone loss teeth was positively correlated with the severity of carotid calcification. Conclusion The periodontal bone loss is highly correlated with the severity of the carotid calcification. The volume reconstruction technique of MSCT is a non-invasive diagnostic testing to detect the periodontal desease and to quantify carotid calcifications.

Aconite roots are a common clinical poisonous herb in Chinese herb. It has the effect of restoring yang and rescuing collapse, supplementing fire and assisting yang, eliminating cold and relieving pain. It is used in the treatment of yang collapse and yang deficiency syndromes. It is called principle medicine of all medicines. Monks-hood polysaccharide is one of effective components in Aconite roots. The study found that monkshood polysaccharide has effects of immune regulation, antitumor, myocardial preservation, lipid lowering, etc.

Objective To summarize the experience of use of partial cardiopulmonary bypass for surgery of descending thoracic aneurysm. Methods Thirty five patients were undertaken surgery of descending thoracic aneurysm using partial cardiopulmonary bypass and beating-heart technique in our hospital. The partial cardiopulmonary bypass includes left heart bypass (left atrial to femoral artery bypass), pulmonary artery to femoral artery bypass, femoral vein to femoral artery bypass. Results Only one patient died, the other thirty four patients experienced an uneventful recovery. There was no any complication related to partial cardiopulmonary bypass. Conclusion The use of partial cardiopulmonary bypass for surgery of descending thoracic aneurysm can reduce and avoid the complications of nervous system and urinary system effectively.

BACKGROUND:As the rapid development of oral implantation and restoration techniques, as wel as the increasing enlargement of indications, angulated abutments have been widely used. Posterior teeth region, as the weight-loading region of occlusion, can bear great force from the implants, the assessment of angulated abutments in posterior teeth region has clinical value.
OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the short-term clinical efficacy of angulated abutments on the implant denture in posterior teeth region.
METHODS:From January 2008 to January 2013, 114 patients with 175 ITI implants in the posterior teeth region were included in this study and they al underwent single-crown restoration. The involved patients were divided into angulated abutment group and straight abutment group. Periodontal probing depth, modified plaque index, modified sulcus bleeding index and peri-implant crestal bone loss in two groups were recorded at 6 months and 2 years after restoration. Cumulative survival rate of the implant denture was calculated by life-table analysis.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:There was no significant difference in periodontal probing depth, modified plaque index, and modified sulcus bleeding index between two groups (P>0.05). The annual crestal bone loss showed no significant difference between two groups (P>0.05). Moreover, the 5-year cumulative survival rate with 15° and 20° abutments was 95.6%, and that with straight abutment was 96.4%. The angle of abutments has no correlation with peri-implant soft tissue and peri-implant crestal bone loss, implant restorations with 15° and 20° angulated abutments may be successful y used in the posterior region, whereas the long-term effects need further research.

Objective To examine the expression of CD8+CD28- T cells in the peripheral blood and explore their roles in the pathogenesis of AS. Methods The expression of CD8+CD28- T cells obtained from 50 AS patients and 21 healthy controls were assayed by flow cytometry. CRP was also measured. Results The percentage of peripheral blood CD8+CD28- T cells in patients with AS was significantly increased compared to normal individuals [(18±6)% vs (14±5)%, P=0.020], while the percentage of peripheral blood CD3+,CD8+ CD28+ T cells in patients with AS was significantly decreased[ (65±9)% vs (69±8)%, P=0.039]; [ (15±5)% vs(18±4)%, P=0.038]. No difference was found in CD8+ T cells between patients with AS and normal individuals(P>0.05). Conclusion The percentage of peripheral blood CD8+CD28- T cells in patients with AS is significantly increased comparing to normal individuals. This suggests that CD8+CD28- T cells may play an important role in the pathogenesis of AS.

Objective To develop the security scale of college students' sense to investigate college students' subjective feeling of security.According to the characteristics of the feeling tendentiousness to analysis the subject and object factors influencing the insecurity of college students. Methods The security scale of college students' sense compiled was administrated to 500 college student randomly stratified cluster sampling from four universities in Yantai, then description and analysis were analyzed by SPSS17.0,AHP and SAS9.1 to statistical. Results Through the scale of exploratory factor analysis, the Cronbach' s of the scale was 0.629.College students in four dimensions of security and total security were in above-average levels, college students' total scorc of security is significance of difference in grade, gender and whether come from the single parent(all P<0.05) ;Self security was significance of difference in the grade and the gender(P<0.01 and P<0.05) ; and interpersonal security in gender and whether come from the single parent had significance difference(P<0.05) ;Determine control and family security in these demographic variable aspects had no significant differences.Multivariate factors analysis results showed that the decision tree model was better than the logistic model (the misclassification rate of the model was lower than the decision tree model). The main factors affecting the university students' security were gender, grade, the average income and whether they, were the only children. The misclassification rate of the decision tree model was lower than the model of logistic.College students' sense of dimensions are significant with positive correlation, the dimension of the security level may affect other security of the situation. Conclusion The security scale of college students' sense has good reliability and validity and can be used in the study of college security. The factor analysis determines it can be used multiple factors analysis. The survey shows that the overall security of the crowd' s is over the average level. The gender, grade, annual per-capita income and whether the one-child are the potential factors that affect college students' insecurity.
