Organ Transplantation 2023;14(5):754-759
Organ transplantation is the most effective treatment for various types of end-stage diseases. To resolve the problem of donor shortage in organ transplantation, the possibility of xenotransplantation has been gradually explored by surgeons. Pig is one of the common donor sources for xenotransplantation. As a bridge between two species, the viruses carried by pig organs may be transmitted between species and cause the risk of zoonosis. Porcine endogenous retrovirus (PERV) is integrated into the genome, which is a category of retrovirus featuring cross-species transmission. In this article, the influencing factors of transmission characteristics of PERV, the transmission risk of PERV and its recombinant virus, and the detection and transmission risk assessment of PERV in xenotransplantation test were reviewed, aiming to provide reference for alleviating severe shortage of donor organs and driving the advancement of xenotransplantation technologies.

National Journal of Andrology 2003;9(3):221-225
Drugs for the treatment of premature ejaculation (PE) are divided to two categories: oral drugs and local drugs. Oral drugs include antidepressive drugs, alpha-adrenoceptor blocking drugs, phosphodiesterase type V blocking drugs and Chinese herbal medicine. Local drugs include local surface drugs, intracavernosal injective drugs and local urethra drugs. Antidepressive drugs are extensively used, which have moderate efficacy, relatively more side effects and high recurrence rate; alpha-adrenoceptor blocking drugs are seldom used and are less effective than antidepressive drugs; phosphodiesterase type V blocking drugs like sildenafil have good efficacy and few side-effects and are worthy to be studied further. Local surface drugs like SS-Cream have good efficacy and few side-effects and are worthy to be applied and promoted; local urethral drugs like MUSE and Befar may become a new method to treat PE after being further studied. Medication for premature ejaculation shall be made specific and suitable as much as for each individual patient.

Objective :
To explore the clinical application of an extended clavicular epithelial flap with a transverse cervical arterial blood supply in the repair of postoperative soft tissue defects in elderly patients with oral cancer.
Methods:
From January 2015 to June 2018, 24 elderly patients with oral cancer were admitted to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Hainan Provincial People′s Hospital, including 15 males and 9 females, aged 65-82 years, with an average age of 71.8 years. The supraclavicular epithelial flap was used to repair the soft tissue defect after radical resection of the oral cancer. The flap was at least 4 cm × 6 cm, and the maximum size was 7 cm × 9 cm. All patients completed a University of Washington Quality of Life (UW-QOL) survey 6 months after surgery, and a subjective satisfaction survey was conducted.
Results :
The prolonged clavicular epithelial flap survival rate was 91.6% (22/24). The patients had good speech and swallowing function, hidden scars and no obvious sequelae. The average UW-QOL score 6 months after the operation was 76.5 ± 6.4. The follow-up satisfaction rate was 87.5% (21/24).
Conclusion
An extended clavicular epithelial flap with a transverse cervical arterial supply is reliable, of moderate thickness, is simple to implement, causes little trauma at the donor site, and yields a relatively concealed donor site. It is suitable for the simultaneous repair of soft tissue defects in elderly patients with oral cancer.

Journal of Experimental Hematology 2017;25(2):582-586
OBJECTIVETo explore the effect of platelet concentration in platelet-rich plasma (PRP)' on platelet aggregation rate, to determine the allowed range of inducer adenosine diphosphate (ADP: 5.0 µmol/L, ADP: 1.5 µmol/L) and arachidonic acid (AA: 500.0 µg/ml) for platelet concentration in platelet aggregation rate.
METHODSThe venous blood samples of 72 healthy persons with citrate anticoagulation were selected and divided into groups, every 12 cases were mixed for each group. After the samples were mixed, different levels of platelet concentrations were prepared, and platelet aggregation rate of 6 groups with different platelet concentrations by ADP and AA inducer were detected by Helena platelet aggregation analyzer respectively.
RESULTSWhen the concentration of the inducer increased, the platelet aggregation rate of different platelet concentrations increased. With the platelet concentration increased, AA and ADP (15 µmol/L) induced platelet aggregation rate showed a rapid increase at first and then showed slowing, when the Plt concentration is less than 200×10/L, AA induced platelet aggregation rate decreased with the steep drop, and ADP induced platelet aggregation rate increased slightly slowly along with platelet concentration increasing. When platelet count lower than 200×10/L and AA 500 µg/ml and ADP 15 µmol/L were used for induction, the changes of platelet aggregation rate of different concentrations of platelet was slow, less volatile and more stable.
CONCLUSIONWhen the platelet aggregation rate was detected, the appropriate platelet concentration of AA and ADP inducing agents should be greater than 200×10/L.
