Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2015;38(z1):20-21
Objective To evaluate the clinical value of percutaneous catheter drainage under the guidance of ultrasound in the treatment of hepatic abscess.Method Forty-eight cases who were clinical diagnosis of liver abscess by percutaneous catheter drainage was selected as the observation group. There were 12 cases of liver abscess diagnosed by parallel surgical drainage in the treatment as the control group. To observe the clinical effect, hospitalization time and complications of two groups of patients after treatment. Results The cure rate of observation group was significandy higher than that in control group:100% (48/48) vs.The temperature recovery time and hospitalization time of the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group:(1.5 ±0.3) d vs.(3.2 ±0.8) d,(9.3 ±2.3) d vs.(17.5 ±3.2) d.No complications occurred in the observation group, and there were 2 cases in the control group. Conclusions Percutaneous catheter drainage in the treatment of liver abscess has advantages of simple economy, less trauma, less complications and high cure rate.It has become the first choice for treatment of liver abscess.

China Oncology 2006;0(08):-
micro RNA (miRNA) is the fragment of non-coding small RNAs and consists of 21-25 ribonucleotide. It can regulated gene expression by either binding to or regulating the translation process of some specific mRNA. This paper summarized the characteristics of miRNA, as well as its production, mechanism of action and functions.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2002;0(S1):-
Objective To evaluate the clinical value of using three-dimensional reconstruction and incising software in facial fracture. Methods Twenty-nine patients of facial fracture were examined with spiral CT first and then the images were taken with three-dimensional reconstruction and incising software on work-station. 2D images, 3D images and incising images were evaluated. Results BZ 3D images were superior to 2D images in demonstrating the space relationship of facial fractures, such as the fracture location, range, fragments displacement. However 2D images were better in illustrating deep structure; The 3D images could illustrate deep structure as well as 2D images when combined with incising software. Conclusion 3D images can provide information of space relationship in assessing facial fracture. The range can be extended combining with the incising software, and do better for illustrating deep struction.

Objective To summarize the experience of modified mini-cholecystectomy. Methods A total of 128 patients underwent mini-cholecystectomy by using a modified Bookwalter retractor, a self-made deep-site tying tool and an L-shape electrotome from September 1998 to June 2003. Results That the length of incision ≤ 6 cm was regarded as a surgical success. Out of the 128 patients, the surgical success was achieved in 110 patients (85 9%). Conclusions In mini-cholecystectomy, the use of the modified Bookwalter retractor greatly improves the visualization of operation field, and the use of the self-made tying tool facilitates deep-site manual knot tying.

Objective To research the significance of the levels of neuron-specific enolase(NSE), S100B and myelin basic protein(MBP) in predicting the severity and prognosis in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Methods The serum levels ofNSE, SI00B and MBPwere measured within 72 hours after the injury in 36 patients with SAH(SAH group), then the severity of illness and prognosis was evaluated by world federation of neurosurgical societies(WFNS) grade and Glasgow outcome scale(GOS) respectively. Twenty healthy persons were selected as controls(control group). Results After the injury, the serum levels of NSE,SI00B and MBP in SAH group increased significantly compared with those in control group. Moreover, there were significant difference in the serum levels of NSE, S100B and MBP among different groups in different severity of illness and prognosis. Assessed the severity and prognosis by serum levels of NSE 25 μg/L, S100B 1.2 μg/L and MBP 10.0 μg/L after 72 hours of SAH, the specificity of assessing the severity by NSE, SI00B and MBP was 71.43%,61.90%, 66.67%, and the sensitivity was 73.33%,86.62% and 73.33%. At assessment of prognosis, the specificity of NSE, S100B, MBP was 69.57%, 60.87%,65.22%, and the sensitivity was 61.54%,76.92% and 69.23%. Conclusion There are higher specificity and sensitivity in evaluating the severity of illnoss and prognosis in patients with SAH by serum levels of NSE, S100B and MBP.

Objective To evaluate the guiding effect of CT software to reduce the postoperative syndrome and surgery risk in patients with sinus disease performed the functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS). Methods Fifty patients of accessory sinus disease were scanned by spinal CT, and then three dimensions reconstruction made in workstation. Under center of ethmoid sinus ,the five groups of anatomy data measured were obtained , used to guide surgery and contrasted with result of no used to guide surgery in 68 patients in FESS. The data were performed the statistical management and compared with results of FESS. Results Under guided by five groups of anatomy data measured ,the postoperative syndrome was reduced by 16.0 percent; the curative effect went up by 15.0 percent; the pay for hospital was reduced 31.0 percent and the recurrence rate was reduced 8.6 percent. Conclusion Used the technic in FESS, the surgery risk, the recurrence rate and pay for hospital are reduced, but the curative effect go up. The technic is much adapt to be used in village and towns hospital where there aren′t navigation equipment.

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effectiveness and safety of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) with improved snare for colorectal polyps and submucosal tumors. Methods The clinical data such as clinical pathological characteristics, en bloc resection rate, curative resection rate, complications and follow-up results of 20 patients with colorectal polyps or submucosal tumors, who were treated by ESD, were retrospectively analyzed. Results 20 patients (total 24 lesions) with colorectal polyps or submucosal tumors were performed ESD operation successfully, in which 16 cases (total 20 lesions) were treated by ESD with improved snare (the trial group), 4 cases were treated by ESD with HOOK knife (the control group). The surgical success rate was 100.0% (24/24), the en blot resection rate was 100.0% (24/24). The mean polyps diameter in the trial group was (2.4 ± 0.9) cm (1.2~4.0 cm), while that in the control group was (2.2 ± 0.6) cm (1.5~3.0 cm). The mean procedure time in the trial group was (83.3 ± 23.9) min (45.0~120.0 min), while the control group was (66.2 ± 15.4) min (45.0~80.0 min), compared with the control group, the trial group need more times to complete the operation. The postoperative pathology as follows: 15 cases were adenoma (including 3 cases of adenoma with partial gland high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia), 1 case was hyperplastic polyp, 1 case was high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia, 2 cases were neuroendocrine tumor (total 4 lesions) 1 case was stromal tumor. Except for 1 case of stromal tumor from the muscularis propria was taken full thickness resection, no patient appeared complications such as hemorrhage, perforation, infection. No patient need intraoperative and postoperative surgical treatment. Conclusion Improved snare can be used to endoscopic submucosal dissection for large colorectal polyps and submucosal tumors safely and effectively, expanded the use and indications of snare in endoscopic resection, but need more times to completed the operation.
