Objective To investigate the significance of MRI T2 fluid-attenuated inversion recovery hyperintense vessel sign (FLAIR HVS)in clinical prognosis evaluation of the patients with acute middle cerebral artery irnfarction.Methods The data in 57 inpatients with acute middle cerebral artery infarction in our hospital from Aug.2013 to Aug.2015 were retrospectively analyzed.All cases were performed the intact MRI examination(ineluding FLAIR,DWI and MRA)and CTA.The infarct volume with DWI,national institute of health stroke scale(NIHSS)score and modified Rankin Scale(mRS)score on 30 d after discharge were performed the comparative analysis.Results Fifty-seven cases of middle cerebral artery occlusion were divided into the distal HVSgroup and non-distal HVS group(8 cases in proximal HVS group,21 cases in HVS negative group).The infarction volume of DWI sequence,NIHSS scores at admissiom and discharge and mRS score on 30 d after discharge in the distal HVS group were superior to those in the non-distal HVS group(P＜0.05).Conclusion MRI-T2 FLAIR sequence HVS has certain reference value in the prognosis evaluation in the patients with middle cerebral artery occlusion.

Objective To study on immunity function in infectious mononucleosis (IM) children infected by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and its relationship with clinic and prognosis.Methods Serum immunoglobulin was detected by immunoradiometric nephelometry,expressions of C D3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD19+,CD23+ on T-lymphocytes subset in peripheral blood were measured by flow cytometry in 50 IM (IM group)who was in acute and convalescent period,and compared with 50 healthy controls (control group).Results The levels of IgA,IgG,IgM in IM group with acute period were (0.75 ± 0.65),(7.55 ± 2.05),(1.85 ± 0.55)g/L,in IM group with convalescent period were (0.95 ± 0.55),(8.85 ± 2.25),(1.75 ± 0.65) g/L.In control group,those were (1.25 ± 0.75),(10.65 ± 2.55),(1.80 ± 0.50) g/L.IgA and IgG in IM group with acute period were significantly lower than those in IM group with convalescent period and control group (P ＜0.01),but IgM was no significant difference among them (P ＞0.05).The levels of CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,CD19+,CD23+ in IM group with acute period were 0.6050 ± 0.0850,0.2080 ± 0.0315,0.6520 ± 0.0520,0.45 ± 0.35,0.0580 ± 0.0205,0.0250 ± 0.0135,in IM group with convalescent period were 0.7220 ± 0.0820,0.3575 ± 0.0375,0.3565 ± 0.0565,1.45 ± 0.45,0.1580 ± 0.0280,0.0625 ± 0.0225.In control group,those were 0.7530 ± 0.0830、0.4850 ± 0.0450、0.3275 ± 0.0575 1.48 ± 0.55、0.1850 ± 0.0560、0.0805 ± 0.0175.CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+,CD19+,CD23+ in IM group with acute period were significantly lower than those in IM group with convalescent period and control group (P ＜ 0.05),but CD8+ was significantly higher than that in IM group with convalescent period and control group (P ＜0.05).Conclusion The abnormality of immunoglobulin and T-lymphocytes subset in children infected by EBV is obvious.

BACKGROUND:It is hopeful that skeletal muscle satellite cells(SMSCs)can be served as seed cells for hematopoietic reconstitution.Angelica polysaccharides(APS)can not only promote hematopoietic stem cells and hematopoietic progenitor cells proliferation and differentiation,but also change the growth characteristics of SMSCs.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of APS on the proliferation of mouse SMSCs in different culture environments.METHODS:SMSCs were procured by a modified method from new born mouse.The α-actin protein of the SMSCs was examined by immunohistochemistry at 5 days after culture.SMSCs were cultured and synchronized for 24 hours in the 96-well plate.After that,SMSCs were assigned into the blank control group,marrow stroma cell supernatant group,APS DMEM/F12 groups(contained 50,100,200,300,400 mg/L APS)and the marrow stroma cell conditioned medium(disposed by 50,100,200,300,400 mg/L APS in DMEM/F12).The proliferation of SMSCs was determined by MTT.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The α-actin was positive in the cultured SMSCs.MTT results demonstrated that,SMSCs showed a proliferative property in the marrow stroma cell conditioned medium groups.Additionally,the marrow stroma cell conditioned medium can effectively alter growth characteristics of SMSCs in a dose-dependent manner.

Objective To research and develop a novel-style wound dressing.Methods 80 patients treated with the new wound dressing of sustained-release alginate fiber were clinically observed.Result Among 90 wounds in 80 patients treated with the dressing,68 wounds healed in grade A,16 in grade B and 6 in grade C.Mean heal-time was 10.6 days.Conclusion The wound dressing of sustained-release alginate fiber is of sound biocompatibility and has many functions in speeding wound healing.

Background and purpose:miR-124 is considered to be a tumor suppressor in multiple tumors, including lung cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and breast cancer. However, its function is unclear in gastric cancer. This study aimed to explore the expression of miR-124 in human gastric mucosal epithelium cells and different gastric cancer cells, as well as gastric cancer tissues and matched para-cancerous tissues. The correlations of miR-124 expression with gender, age, histological grade, T stage, TNM stage, lymph node metastasis and prognosis of gastric cancer patients were analyzed.Methods:A real-time lfuorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RTFQ-PCR) was employed for detecting the expression of miR-124 in human gastric mucosal epithelium cells and gastric cancer cells. The expression of miR-124 in gastric cancer tissues and matched para-cancerous tissues was detected by in situ hybridization.Results:The RTFQ-PCR results indicated that the expression of miR-124 was down-regulated in MKN-74, MKN-28, MKN-45, MGC-803, SGC-7901 and AGS cells compared to GES-1 cells.In situ hybridization showed that miR-124 was strongly expressed in normal gastric mucosa. However, low expression, focal positive expression or lack of miR-124 expression were observed in gastric cancer tissues. Statistical analysis showed that miR-124 was close-ly correlated to histological stage, TNM stage and node metastasis of gastric cancer patients, but not the age, gender and tumor size. The OS and DFS of the patients with low expression of miR-124 were shorter than that of the patients with high expression of miR-124. Multivariate analysis suggested that miR-124 down-regulation was an independent prog-nostic factor for survival in patients with gastric cancer.Conclusion:miR-124 is down-regulated in gastric cancer cells and tissues. The expression of miR-124 is correlated to histological stage, TNM stage, node metastasis and prognosis.

Objective To explore the relationship of serum uric acid level with estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) of elderly patients with hypertention based on a retrospective cohort study.Method The subjects included 465 cases who had a readmission after 3 years of follow-up in an original cohort of 1648 patients with diagnosis of essential hypertension in Fujian Provincial Hospital from August 2007 to September 2009.Multiple regression analysis was performed to examine the effect of serum uric acid level on renal function.Results Four hundred and sixty-five subjects were followed up for an average of 3.9 years.Mean patient age was 68.3 ± 9.7 years.There was no significant difference in uric acid between the baseline and 3 years later (P ＞ 0.05).Multiple regression analysis showed that after adjustment for age,gender,diabetes,body mass index,blood pressure etc,each 100 μmol/L-higher uric acid at baseline was associated with 4.40 ml· min-1· (1.73m2)-1 decrease in eGFR[95％ confidence interval (CI):-6.25--2.55,P ＜ 0.01].According to the alteration of the serum uric acid,all patients were divided into the group with decreased uric acid and the group with increase uric acid.The eGFR was lower in patients with increased uric acid than that in patients with decreased uric acid 3 years later [(70.63±21.54) ml· min-1 · (1.73m2)-1 vs (79.62±21.16) ml· min-1· (1.73 m2)-1,P ＜ 0.01] and there was no significant difference at baseline between the two groups (P ＞ 0.05).Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that after adjusting for aging,gender,diabetes,alteration of blood pressure etc,baseline uric acid was associated with a higher risk for eGFR decreasing more than 10 ml· min-1· (1.73 m2)-1 3 years later [hazard ratio (HR)=2.11,95％CI:1.24-3.59,P ＜ 0.01]; increased uric acid 3 years later resulted in a higher risk for renal function deterioration (HR=2.60,95％ CI:1.67-4.07,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions Elderly hypertensive patients with baseline hyperuricemia have a lower eGFR,resulting an increased risk of chronic kidney disease.While the patients with declined uric acid had a lesser imparied renal function.It suggests that the improvement of uric acid may help to slow down the deterioration of renal function in elderly hypertensive patients.

We wished to sequence the full-length genomes of the DHL10M110 strain of the Akabane virus (AKV) isolated from mosquitoes in Yunnan Province, China, in 2010. We also wished to analyze the characteristics of these complete nucleotide sequences. The complete genomic sequence of the DHL10M110 strain from Yunnan Province was obtained by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and direct sequencing. We found that the length of the L, M and S gene nucleotide sequences of the DHL10M110 strain were 6 869-bp, 4 309-bp and 856-bp, respectively, including the open reading frame (ORF) nucleotide sequences of 6 756-bp (L), 4 206-bp (M) and 702-bp (S), encoding 2252, 1402 and 234 amino-acid polyproteins, respectively. Phylogenetic analyses based on L-fragment ORF showed that the DHL10M110 strain had a close relationship with the OBE-1 strain of the AKV from Japan and AKVS-7/SKR/2010 strain of the AKV from South Korea. Phylogenetic analyses based on M- and S-fragment ORF showed that the DHL10M110 strain had a close relationship with the epidemic strains of the AKV from Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, but that the DHL10M110 strain had a lone evolutionary branch. In terms of nucleotide (amino acid) homology, the similarity of L-, M- and S-fragment ORFs of the DHL10M110 strain to the OBE-1 strain from Japan was 92.6% (98%), 88.5% (94%) and 96.4% (99.1%), respectively. When comparing the DHL10M110 strain with the OBE-1 strain, we noted 45, 84, and 2 different sites in the amino acids of L, M and S fragments, respectively. Homology and phylogenetic analyses also suggested that the DHL10M110 strain had a distant relationship with the epidemic strains of the AKV from Kenya and Australia. Also, we confirmed by complete genomic sequence analyses that the DHL10M110 strain was clade-Asia of the AKV. However, differences between the DHL10M110 strain compared with strains from Japan and South Korea were also noted. These results suggest that the DHL10M110 strain harbored relatively stable genetic characteristics and distinct regional features. This is the first time that full-length genomic sequences of the DHL10M110 strain of the AKV in mainland China have been obtained.

Objective To explore an effective treatment for hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage.Methods By the method of random and control,patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage were randomly divided into two groups:the treatment group(32 patients)was treated with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine therapy,including super-early operation,conventional western medicine and Chuanxiongqin injection treatment.The control group(40 patients)was treated with operation and conventional western medicine treatment.The effect was evaluated on 28 th day after treatment.Results The effect of the treatment group was superior to that of the control group(χ~2=4.15,3.26,P＜0.05).The treatment group had lower mortality rate(χ~2=8.04,P＜0.05)and lower morbidity of complications(pulmonary infection:6/16 cases,χ~2=11.37,P=0.01;upper-congestive hemorrhage:8/16 cases,χ~2=4.10,P=0.04)statistical data indicated that there was significant difference between treatment group and control group.Conclusion Super-early operation with traditional Chinese medicine in treatment of hypertensive intracerebral henorrhage has a better effect than the treatment without traditional Chinese medicine.

OBJECTIVE:To establish the Evaluation Criteria on Rational Use of Human Serum Albumin(HSA)in our hospi-tal,and to provide refereuce for rational use of HSA. METHODS:Referring to drug utilization evaluation(DUE)criteria of WHO and developed countries,based on the guideline of HSA use,Human Serum Albumin,Non-protein Colloid and Crystalloid Solu-tion Guidelines of USA University Hospital Consortium,Blood Products Prescription Evaluation Guideline of Beijing area,etc., Evaluation Criteria on Rational Use of HAS was established through experts discussion,and the use of HAS in 420 patients of our hospital were evaluated. RESULTS:The Evaluation Criteria on Rational Use of HSA mainly included indication,contraindication, usage and dosage,drug combination,incompatibility,etc. 414 patients (98.57%) detected serum albumin concentration before treatment;167 patients(39.76%)were in line with the indication;56 patients(13.33%)had contraindication in using HSA;352 patients(83.81%)met the criteria in usage and dosage,duration of treatment;there were 17 cases(4.05%)of unreasonable drug combination and 3 cases(0.71%)of incompatibility. CONCLUSIONS:The established criteria has strong practicability,and some problems and insufficiencies can be found in the clinical practice,is conducive to promote rational drug use in the clinic.
