In this paper,we reported the results of 36 cases with lumbar disc prolapse through conservative treatment in order to observe the relationship between the effect of conservative treatment and the results of CT scan.We found that the effectiveness of treatment was related to the size and location of the disc protrusion as well as the course of disease. The results suggested that these factors should be considered fully during selecting the methods of conservative treatment or operation in lumbar disc prolapse.

Objective To construct a programmed cell death ligand 1(PD-L1) co-expression network in lung squamous cell carcinoma, screen potential PD-L1 co-expression biomarkers, and try to find the genes and pathways participating in PD-L1-regulated tumor immune response. Methods The lung squamous cell carcinoma dataset extracted from TCGA was used to screen the co-expression genes of PD-L 1 at the whole-genome transcriptional level by Venny analysis, and the target genes were screened by multiple types of cluster and molecular network analysis to construct a PD-L1 co-expression network. Results A total of 126 genes moderately co-expressed with PD-L1 were retrieved, most of them are plasma membrane targeting genes participating in immune response.Three transcription factors (IRF2/NFKB1/IRF1) were involved in more than 30% the regulation of the PD-L1 genes transcription.By screening the core molecules of co-expression of PD-L1 gene set and analyzing the connectivity of network node,6 network nodes genes with the highest connectivity were retrieved as follows:IFNG,JAK2,STAT1,CTLA4,CD80 and CCR5.Analysis of the relations of the different expression levels of these genes to the survival situation of patients with lung cancer revealed that CCR5 was a significant prognostic marker.Analysis of the PD-L1 expression and CCR5 gene spectrum data showed the Pearson correlation coefficient is 0.47(P<0.05);GO-BP cluster analysis showed that the function of CCR5 mainly focused on immune regulation,T cell regulation and signal transduction,in accordance with the PD-L1 function of network regulation. Conclusions The main nodes of PD-L1 co-expressing gene set are immune-related molecules, among which IFNG/CCR5/NFKB1 play the most significant regulatory effects in the gene network. This finding lays a foundation for the research and immunotherapy for lung squamous cell carcinoma.

Objective:To understand the supportive care needs of patients with prostate cancer during their illness, so as to construct the supportive care needs intervention program. Methods:Purposive sampling method was used to conduct semi-structured interviews on 17 patients with prostate cancer from June 2019 to January 2020 in Haikou Hospital of Xiangya Affiliated Hospital of Central South University, and the data were analyzed by content analysis method. Results:Seven themes were extracted: the need of health information, the need of social support, the need of health care services, psychological and emotional need, the need of symptom management, the need of economic support and disease specific need. Conclusions:Patients with prostate cancer have multiple supportive care needs. The results of this study could be important reference for medical staff to provide comprehensive, personalized and humanistic care for patients and improve patients′ the quality of life and medical experience.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the clinical feature and constituent ratio of adult hip fractures in Southwest China.
METHODSThe data of adult inpatients and outpatients with hip fractures treated between January 2010 and December 2011 in 11 hospitals of the Southwest China were collected and analyzed. The data includes gender, age, age distribution and fracture pattern according to AO classification.
RESULTSThere were a total of 2,833 adult hip fractures, including 1,340 (47.30%) males and 1,493 (52.70%) females, with a male-to-female incidence ratio of 1: 1.11 and a mean age of (66±18) years. The highest frequency of hip fractures was seen in the 71 to 85 years age group (42.18%, 1,195/2,833). There were 844 fractures (29.79%) in the young and middle-aged group (16-<60 years) and 1 898 fractures (70.21%) in the geriatric group (≥60 years). Men had a higher rate than women (men: 577 fractures, 68.4%) in the young and middle-aged group, while women had a higher rate than men (women: 1,226 fractures, 61.64%) in the geriatric group, with a significant difference in the sex distribution between the two groups (χ2=214.001, P<0.01). The proportion of intertrochanteric fracture (type 31-A), femoral neck (type 31-B) and femoral head fracture (type 31-C) was 46.59%, 49.74% and 3.67% respectively. The highest frequency of the sub-type in each fracture type was type 31-A2, type 31-B2 and type 31-C2.
CONCLUSIONSWomen have a higher rate than men in Southwest China. Geriatric patients are more than the young and middle-aged patients. The femoral neck fractures, intertrochanteric fractures and femoral head fractures are in descending orders according to the proportion of the three different hip fractures.

OBJECTIVETo understand the exposed positions and levels of indium and its compounds in manufacture of liquid crystal displays, and to evaluate the degree of occupational hazard from indium and its compounds.
METHODSOn-site investigation of occupational health, occupational hazard monitoring, and occupational health examination were used to evaluate the degree of occupational hazard from indium and its compounds in three manufacturers of liquid crystal display panel in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.
RESULTSThe time-weighted average (TWA) and short-term exposure limit (STEL) concentrations of indium and its compounds to which sputtering machine operating positions were exposed were less than 0.002~0.004 mg/m³ and 0.006~0.007 mg/m³, respectively, both of which complied with the National Hygienic Standard (PC-TWA = 0.1 mg/m³; PC-STEL = 0.3 mg/m³); the TWA and STEL concentrations of indium and its compounds to which grinding positions were exposed were 0.114~2.98 mg/m³ and 0.31~10.02 mg/m³, respectively, both of which exceeded the National Hygienic Standard with the highest concentration 33-fold higher than the standard. No significant health damages were found in exposed workers according to the results of occupational health examination.
CONCLUSIONThe grinding positions are the key to the control of occupational hazard from indium and its compounds in manufacture of liquid crystal display panel. The workers should be equipped with the anti-particulate full-face respirator, which is an effective way to prevent occupational hazard from indium and its compounds.
