1.THE EFFECT OF CHRONIC AND ACUTE APPLICATION OF LITHIUM SALT ON DOPAMINE CONTENT OF DIFFERENT BRAIN REGIONS OF THE RAT
Journal of Chongqing Medical University 1986;0(04):-
Lithium (Li) salt is a kind of antipsychotic drug commonly used in the treatment and prevention of mental disorders, but its mechanism of action is still not well understood. Knowing that central dopaminergic neurons are usually the site of action of antipsychotic drugs and some central stimulents, we determined flourospe-ctropnotometrically the dopamine level of discrete brain regions of rat after Li was given intraperitonially 24 hr, 3 days and 5 days later to observe the effect of acute and chronic application of Li on brain dopamine level. The result showed that dopamine level of different brain region and spinal cord were lowered after 24 hr of Li injection, but it increased moderately 3 days later and dramatically 5 days later. It showed that central dopamine of the animal undergoes a series of metabolic change during Li application. 'There is no unique idea about the effect of Li on brain dopamine metabolism, we discussed the result of our experiment preliminary

Chinese Journal of Diabetes 1995;0(04):-
The effect of taurine on IL-1?induced inhibition of insulin release was investigated with cultured neonatal rat pancreatic islet cells. The results indicated that:①Insulin release, both the basal and glucose-stimulated,could be significantly inhibited by addition of IL-1?(5~20U/ml).②The inhibitory effect of IL-1? on insulin release could be reversed by taurine and this effect was directly related to the dose and action time of taurine.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1986;0(03):-
Isolated pancreatic islet cells from neonatal rats were cultured in vitro. Insulin release was significantly inhibited by interleukin-1?. Addition of testosterone to the IL-, 1?-impaired pancreatic islets could increase insulin release, suggesting a protective effect of testosterone on pancreatic islet cells. Testosterone also significantly increased the insulin content in islet cells, and this effect could be blocked by actinomycin-D, indicating that testosterone promoted the synthesis of DNA and insulin may be one of its major protective mechanism.

Background and purpose:One of the reasons why cancer cells are resistant to chemotherapy is the existence of cancer stem cells. The purpose of this study was to investigate the chemoresistance of CD44+/CD24+ Siha cells to cisplatin and its mechanisms. Methods:Siha cells were cultivatedin vitro. The CD44+/CD24+ Siha cells were sorted out by fluorescence activated cell sorter (FACS) andin vitro proliferation was detected by MTT assay after treatment with the different concentrations of cisplatin. The cell apoptosis rate was detected by flow cytometry after 10 μg/mL cisplatin acted on CD44+/CD24+ Siha cells for 24, 48 and 72 h. The relative mRNA and protein expressions of Bcl-2, Oct-4 and ABCG2 were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and Western blot, respectively. Results:The survival rates of CD44+/CD24+ Siha cells treated with different concentrations of cisplatin (0.1, 1, 5, 10, 15 and 20 μg/mL) were higher than those of their parental Siha cells [(88.42±1.51)%vs (92.87±1.5)%, (79.94±1.05)%vs (84.72±1.09)%, (69.78±0.81)%vs (75.13±2.86)%, (58.97±0.70)%vs (65.79±2.71)%, (49.60±0.88)%vs (52.10±0.52)%, (45.13±0.69)%vs (48.84±1.02)%,P<0.05]. Compared with their parental Siha cells, the apoptosis rates of CD44+/CD24+ Siha cells were lower after 10 μg/mL of cisplatin acting on them for 24, 48 and 72 h, respectively [(3.05±0.16)%vs (5.17±0.27)%, (17.94±2.02)%vs (32.60±4.28)% and (40.14±3.01)%vs (56.62±5.32)%,P<0.05]. The results from both qRT-PCR and Western blot indicated that Oct-4, ABCG2 and Bcl-2 were highly expressed on CD44+/CD24+ Siha cells. A significant difference was found in Oct-4, ABCG2 and Bcl-2 expression between CD44+/CD24+Siha cells and their parental cells (P=0.015<0.05).Conclusion:CD44+/CD24+ Siha cells could be resistant to apoptosis induced by cisplatin and expressed high levels of cancer stem cell markers such as Oct-4 and ABCG2. This study lays the basis for useful isolation and further targeted therapy of cervical cancer stem cells.

Objective To investigate the protective role of FDP to STZ induced islest apoptosis and the potential mechanisms. Methods The pancreases of the rats were treated to collect islets cells. The cells were incubated with STZ with/or FDP.Cell morphology, insulin secretion,HO-1 activity,CO content,SOD activity,GSH-px activity,iNOS activity were examined. No conetent and apoptotic percentage was detected. Results HO-1 activity and CO content of the normal control group were low.STZ induced a significant decrease of cell activity and insulin release, flow cytometry analysis showed that apoptotic percentage of islet cells remarkably increased following the addition of STZ,FDP obviously improved the islets cellular activity damaged by STZ,basic amount of insulin secretion and stimulated by high glucose were improved(P

Objective:To clarify the connotation of clown care by conceptual analysis of clown care, so as to provide references for clinical nursing work. Methods:Literature related to clown care was searched in PubMed, EBSCO, Embase, CNKI, Wanfang Database and VIP, and the search period was from the establishment of the databases until August 31, 2022. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, literature was screened. The Rodgers evolutionary concept analysis method was adopted to analyze the relevant contents of clown care from aspects of development history, definition and evolution, conceptual attributes, typical cases, antecedents, consequences and identification of related concepts. Results:A total of 463 articles were retrieved, and 94 were finally included, including 8 Chinese articles and 86 English articles. At present, there was no unified and comprehensive definition of clown care. It included 5 conceptual attributes, such as support relationship, individuation, interaction, flexibility and empowerment. The antecedents included demographic, clown, and social factors, and the consequences mainly included the effect on the patient's health status, negative emotions of medical staff, clown care skills and creativity. Conclusions:Clarifying the concept of clown care can provide clear conceptual support for the research on clown care, and provide references for the construction of scientific clown care program.

Objective To discuss the effect of multidisciplinary family empowerment mode in home care for patients after receiving percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy(PEG).Methods A total of 86 patients, who received initial PEG at the Jilin Provincial Cancer Hospital of China from January 2021 to July 2023,were selected for this study. The patients were randomly divided into observation group. The patients of the control group received routine nursing guidance for gastrostomy, while the patients of the observation group received multidisciplinary family empowerment nursing mode. The self-care ability[using self-care ability scale of the elderly(SASE)score],health behavior ability[using self-rating scale of health behavior ability(SRAHP)score],incidence of complications, and healing time of complications were compared between the two groups. Results In the observation group the SASE[(129.48±5.48)points vs.(73.05±12.04)points]and the SRAHP[(80.14±1.00)points vs.(70.25±7.92)points]were significantly higher than those in the control group(all P<0.05),the incidence of complications was lower than that in the control group, and the healing time of complications was shorter than that in the control group. Conclusion The implementation of multidisciplinary family empowerment nursing mode can improve the self-care ability and health behavior ability of patients after receiving PEG,reduce postoperative complications,as well as shorten the healing time of complications, therefore, this nursing mode is suitable for home patients after receiving PEG.
