China's energy supply becomes more serious nowadays and the development of bio-energy becomes a major trend. Large oil companies have superb technology, rich experience and outstanding talent, as well as better sales channels for energy products, which can make full use of their own advantages to achieve the efficient complementary of exist energy and bio-energy. Therefore, large oil companies have the advantages of developing bio-energy. Bio-energy development in China is in the initial stage. There exist some problems such as available land, raw material supply, conversion technologies and policy guarantee, which restrict bio-energy from industrialized development. According to the above key issues, this article proposes suggestions and methods, such as planting energy plant in the marginal barren land to guarantee the supply of bio-energy raw materials, cultivation of professional personnel, building market for bio-energy counting on large oil companies' rich experience and market resources about oil industry, etc, aimed to speed up the industrialized process of bio-energy development in China.

Peristomal pyoderma gangrenosum(PPG)is a subtype of pyoderma gangrenosum(PG)characterized by ulcerations surrounding an enterostomy or continent stoma. The disease progresses rapidly, and the cause is still unknown. As a result of the challenging diagnosis of PPG and the high rate of misdiagnosis, along with the severe pain experienced by patients, the vulnerability of wounds to infection, and the prolonged healing time,it has a substantial impact on the patient's quality of life and presents significant challenges to medical professionals. This paper reviews the diagnostic tools for PPG,factors influencing wound healing, and integrated wound care methods. The aim is to provide a reference for developing wound care strategies for PPG and improving the quality of clinical nursing practices in China.

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of continuous irrigation and drainage combined with lesion debridement surgery in the treatment of purulent bone and joint infections in children. Methods:A case-control study was conducted to retrospectively analyze the clinical data of 76 children with purulent bone and joint infections who received treatment at Hangzhou Children's Hospital from January 2021 to October 2022. Based on different treatment methods, these children were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 38 cases in each group. The control group received lesion debridement surgery, while the observation group underwent continuous irrigation and drainage combined with lesion debridement surgery. The clinical outcomes of the two groups were compared. Results:The total response rate in the observation group was 97.37% (37/38), which was significantly higher than that in the control group [76.32% (29/38), χ2 = 7.36, P < 0.05]. After treatment, the white blood cell count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and percentage of neutrophils in the observation group were (4.32 ± 0.95) × 10 9/L, (14.20 ± 2.50) mm/h, and (52.12 ± 8.45)%, respectively, all of which were significantly lower than those in the control group [(5.68 ± 1.02) × 10 9/L, (22.35 ± 3.35) mm/h, and (66.65 ± 6.20)%, t = 6.01, 12.01, 8.54, all P < 0.05]. The levels of interleukin-6, C-reactive protein, procalcitonin, and tumor necrosis factor-α in the observation group were (5.20 ± 1.02) ng/L, (8.20 ± 1.11) mg/L, (0.80 ± 0.12) μg/L, and (3.20 ± 1.02) ng/L, respectively, which were significantly lower than those in the control group [(8.12 ± 1.10) ng/L, (14.34 ± 2.20) mg/L, (1.12 ± 0.20) μg/L, and (7.50 ± 1.12) ng/L, t = 11.99, 15.36, 8.45, 17.49, all P < 0.05). At 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months after treatment, the Visual Analog Scale scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group ( t = 3.14, 2.33, 11.36, all P < 0.05). The recurrence rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group [2.63% (1/38) vs. 21.05% (8/38), χ2= 4.53, P < 0.05). Conclusion:Continuous irrigation and drainage combined with lesion debridement surgery is more effective for treating purulent bone and joint infections in children than lesion debridement surgery alone. This combined therapy can more effectively reduce inflammatory responses, alleviate pain, and lead to a lower recurrence rate.

To investigate the effect of hSCGF-alpha on human Umbilical Cord Mesenchymal Stem Cells (hUCMSCs), we obtained hSCGF-alpha using genetic engineering, hSCGF-alpha gene was amplified from hUCMSCs cDNA using two-step PCR and was inserted into pET-28a(+) plasmid vector. Induced by IPTG at 20 degrees Celsius for 24 h, the fusion protein expressed in E. coli BL21 (DE3) was mainly existing in soluble form. The recombinant hSCGF-a was purified using NI-NTA affinity chromatography and the purity was up to 90%. The colony forming test revealed that combined use hSCGF-alpha and rmGM-CSF (recombinant murine GM-colony stimulating factor, rmGM-CSF) had granulocyte/macrophage (GM) promoting effects on murine bone marrow GM progenitor. In addition, the results indicated that hSCGF-alpha and rhGM-CSF had stimulatory effect on hUCMSCs and their synergetic effect was the strongest.

Journal of Clinical Medicine in Practice 2024;28(8):7-11
Objective To explore the risk factors for postoperative recurrence in patients with refractory epilepsy and establish a predictive model. Methods Clinical materials of 280 refractory epilepsy patients with surgical treatment in the hospital from June 2021 to October 2022 were retro-spectively collected, with a follow-up of one year after surgery. These patients were divided into non-recurrence group with 238 cases and recurrence group with 42 cases according to their recurrence sta-tus.The risk factors for postoperative recurrence in refractory epilepsy patients were analyzed by uni-variate and multivariate Logistic regression analyses;the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to evaluate the predictive value of the model for postoperative recurrence in refractory epilepsy patients. Results Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that disease duration ex-ceeding 5 years, incomplete concordance between the preoperative localization of the lesion and the-surgical site, low serum vitamin B6 level, and high level of serum monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)were the significant risk factors for postoperative recurrence in refractory epilepsy patients(OR=2.705,2.314,1.790 and 2.284,P<0.05).A regression model was built based on these findings, and an ROC curve for predicting postoperative recurrence in refractory epilepsy patients was plotted based on the predicted probability logit(P).When logit(P)exceeded 14.52,the area under the curve(AUC)was 0.850,with a sensitivity of 78.57%and a specificity of 80.67%.Conclusion In refractory epilepsy patients with surgical treatment, disease duration exceeding 5 years, incomplete concordance between the preoperative localization of the lesion and the surgical site, low serum vita-min B6 level, and elevated MCP-1 level are identified as risk factors for postoperative recurrence. The established regression model for predicting postoperative recurrence in refractory epilepsy pa-tients demonstrates a high predictive value, and can be utilized to identify populations with high-risk of recurrence and guide targeted interventions to reduce the risk of recurrence.
