Objective Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) has been proposed to be used as an endogenous cardioprotective agent. The aim of the present study was to investigate the anti-apoptosis effect of HGF on rat cardiomyocytes after being irradiated by single dose gamma ray. Methods The study was performed using primary cell cultures of cardiomyocytes isolated from hearts of new-born rats. After being cultured for 72h in vitro, cardiomyocytes were irradiated with gamma ray in a single dose of 20Gy. In the HGF treated groups, cells were incubated with HGF in the dose of 20 and 40ng/ml 3h prior to irradiation, respectively. At 48h post-irradiation, the concentration of LDH in the supernatant of cell culture was determined. Apoptosis and cell cycle were determined with flow cytometry. Objective To observe the therapeutic effects and complication of combined endoscopic trerapy of the acute biliary pancreatitis(ABP). Methods 70 cases of acute biliary pancreatitis were treated in our hospital in recent 7 years.37 cases(group E) admitted undergone emergency endoscope procedure were treated with endoscopi- cretrograde cholongiopancreatography ( ERCP ), endpscopic sphincterotomy ( EST ) and endoscope naso-biliary drainage(ENBD) in 24h after be hospitalized. 33 cases(group C) were treated with conservation treatment or opera-tion treatment. Results Achievement ratio of endoscopic management was 92 %. There was no severe complication or mortality in group E. The duration of symptoms and hospitalization in endoscopy group were significantly shorter than those in group C(P<0.01). The change of serum and urine amylase was not significant between two groups in the first day after treatment(P > 0.05). But the serum and urine amylase of group E were significantly lower than those in group C in the second day(P< 0.05) and more significantly lower in the third day after treatment(P< 0.01 ). Conclusion Early endoscopic therapy is safe and effective in ABP patients. It is a valuable method to treat a- cute biliary pancreatitis.

Objective To investigate the early diagnosis and rational treatment of traumatic retroperitoneal hematoma(TRPH). Methods Retrospective analysis was done on the clinical data of 96 cases of TRPH admitted in our hospital in the past 10 years. Results Eighty two patients received operation, of whom,73 combined with other celiac organ injuries.The other 14 patients were treated by non surgery.Two patients combined brain trauma and 1 with hemorrhagic shock died during operation,and 2 died of multiorgan failure postoperatively. Conclusions Early diagonsis depends on clinical appearance, abdominocentsis, B ultrasonography and CT. Operation should be done immediately,if the patient has the following condition:(1)apparant hemorrhagic shock after blunt trauma;(2) comfirmed celiac viscera trauma or blood vessel trauma;and (3)retroperitoneal hematoma caused by penetric trauma. Kidney surrounding hematoma or hematoma in pelvis area needs no immediate operation.

Objective To study the value of microwave coagulation therapy for liver malignant tumors.Methods Under local anesthesia,19 cases with hepatic malignant tumors treated with microwave knife under CT-guided.Results There were totally 23 tumors in 19 cases,13 tumors with≤3.5 cm in diameters were destroyed absolutely after the first treatmet,10 tumors among them were followed-up for 6-12 months and no recurred.10 tumors with＞3.5 cm in diameters treated at multiple points or angle,3～6 months later,CT showed that the tumors were destroyed completely in 6 and mostly in 4,by the hot condensate treatment secondly,3 tumors of 4 were destroyed completely 3 months later.There were no obvious complications.Conclusion The therapeutic effect under CT-guided microwave coagulation therapy for liver tumor which are ≤3.5 cm in diameter of the tumors is very reliable,the tumors＞3.5 cm in diameter can be destroyed mostly or completely by microwave treatment.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of spectral CT monochromatic imaging in improvement of imaging quality of bronchial arteries.Methods We retrospevtively analyzed the chest CT images in 38 patients who underwent the contrast-enhanced spectral CT.These images included a set of 140 kVp polychromatic images and default 70 keV monochromatic images.Using a standard Gemstone Spectral Imaging (GSI)viewer at an advanced workstation (AW4.6),an optimal energy level (in keV)for obtai-ning the best CNR of the bronchial artery could be automatically obtained.The SNR,CNR and objective imaging quality score for these 3 imaging sets (140 kVp,70 keV and optimal energy level)were obtained and compared with one-way ANOVA .Results The optimal energy levels for obtaining the best CNR were (62.58±2.74)keV.The SNR of the 140 kVp polychromatic images,70 keV monochromatic images,and the optimal keV monochromatic images were 1 6.44±5.85,20.96 ±8.32 and 24.91 ±9.91,the CNR were 13.30±5.45,1 7.25±6.97 and 20.67±8.62,and the subjective imaging quality scores were 1.97 ±0.82,3.24±0.75 and 4.47±0.60,respectively,exhibiting significant differences among groups (F =10.1 7,10.1 7 and 1 1 1.12,P <0.00).The optimal monochromatic group was superior to the 70 keV group and the 140 kVp mixed-energy group.Conclusion Monochromatic images at approximately 62 keV in dual-energy spectral CTA yields the best CNR and highest diagnostic confidence for imaging bronchial ar-teries,which may improve imaging quality for imaging bronchial arteries.

Objective The objective of this study was to investigate the miR-345 expression level in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)tissue and its potential clinical significance.Methods Real-time PCR was conducted to evaluate the expression of miR-345 in NSCLC tissues in 98 samples and cell lines.Then the association between tissue miR-345 expression level and clinical outcomes was further analyzed.Results The expression level of miR-345 was significantly decreased in NSCLC tissues and cell lines when compared to the controls(P<0.05).miR-345 expression level in NSCLS tissues was associated with various clinicopathological parameters including LN metastasis(P<0.001),distant metastasis(P=0.028),TNM stage(P=0.004)and grade(P=0.011).In addition,the NSCLC patients in the low miR-345 expression group showed significantly shorter overall survival time than that in the high miR-345expression group(P=0.021).Multivariate analysis showed that the expression of miR-345 was an independent risk factor for NSCLC(HR=3.897,95% CI:2.263~10.440;P=0.012).Conclusion The expression level of miR-345 was decreased in NSCLC tissues as well as cell lines compared with normal controls.Low miR-345 expression in tissues was associated with progression and poor prognosis of NSCLC.These results indicate that miR-345 may be a novel prognostic marker in NSCLC.

Objective To study the relationship of hepatocyte apoptosis and gene expression of liver cirrhosis and primary hepatic carcinoma. Methods Specimens of liver tissue from patients with liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension and normal subjects were examined by transmission electron microscope to detect apoptotic cells and primary cancer gene expression. Results The number of apoptotic cells and the apoptotic index of cirrhotic liver tissue was higher than that of normal subjects.Immunostaining of bcl 2,c myc,c fos was negative in normal liver tissue ,but was over expressed in cirrhosis. Conclusions Hepatocyte apoptosis plays a certain role in the development of hepatic cirrhosis. The oncogenes bcl 2,c myc,c fos take part in the regulation of hepatocyte apoptosis .
