Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2010;17(20):2792-2794
Objective To observe the effect of self mading Tongfengxiao decoction in treatment of acute gouty arthritis. Methods 69 patients were randomly divided into two groups. In the control group,33 patients were given diclofenac sodium sustained-release capsules and allopurinol treatment; In treatment group ,36 patients were given to the self mading Tongfengxiao decoction in addition to the western medicine received by the control group. The two groups were all treated for 14 days. Results The total effective rate was 94.4% for treatment group and 87.8% for control group respectively. Therefore, the difference of treatment effect between twp groups was significant ( P <0. 05 ) ;Also, the treatment group performed better than control group in term of reducing serum uric acid( P < 0. 05).Conclusion The treatment of Tongfengxiao decoction combined western medicine for acute gouty arthritis had a good synergistic effect, and could reduce serum uric acid and improve clinical symptoms.

Objective To investigate effects of ginkgo biloba extract(GBE) and tanshinoneⅡ A preventative administration against cerebral ischemia and reperfusion injury in gerbils. Methods Cerebral iscthemia and reperfu- sion injury were made by 10 minutes'occlusion of bilateral carotid arteries followed by 24 hours' reperfusion in ger- bils.GBE,tanshinone Ⅱ A,nimodipine or GBE plus tanshinone Ⅱ A were administrated intragastrically 3 days prior to and at the day of ischemia and reperfusion.Effects of experimental agents on mortality, stroke index, brain body index, water content in brain hemisphere, level of SOD activity and MDA in cerebral tissue were measured, and pathological changes of cortex and hippoearnpal CA1 sector were observed. Results GBE 48 mg/kg and tanshinone Ⅱ A 25mg/kg preventive administration could significantly reduce the stroke index, brain body index, and water in brain hemisphere, together with a reduced mortality of cerebral ischemia and reperfusion injuried gerbils. The two a- gents could also significantly improve the activity of SOD,reduce the level of MDA in cerebral tissue and the injury in cortex and hippocampal CA1 sector. Moreover, combined treatment of these two agents demonstrated more signifi- cant effects. Conclusion GBE,tanshinone Ⅱ A and combined therapy of these two agents may protect cerebral func- tion from ischemia and reperfusion injury through reducing the cerebral edema and attenuating the injury of oxygen free radicals.

Objective To elucidate significance of hyperintense vessel signs(HVS)on FLAIR MRI in patients with cerebral infarction. Methods Two hundred and sixty-two patients with cerebral infarction admitted in our hospital were included in this study. We retrospectively defined HVS on FLAIR MRI in these patients in comparison with time of flight(TOF)on MR angiograms(MRA), hyperintense lesions on diffusion-weighted images(DWI). Results HVS on FLAIR MR[were identified in 117 patients with cerebral infarction(45.4%), of which 47 patients(83.9%)were obtained within 24 hours of symptom onset. HVS on FLAIR MRI were detected in 74 patients at sylvian fissure(62.2%), 11 at cortical sulci (9.2% ,11/119),34 at the posterior circulation regions(28.6% ,34/119). HVS on FLAIR MRI coincided well with ischemia of TOF on MRA and lesion patterns on DWI (χ2 test,P<0.01, respectively). Conclusion HVS on FLAIR MRI is helpful to evaluate abnormal major cerebral arteries of patients with cerebral infarction.

International Eye Science 2015;(5):869-871
?AlM: To study the correlation between monocular mild myopic juvenile myopia degree and dominant eye.
? METHODS: Totally 158 patients with juvenile monocularly mild myopia in our hospital from December 2012 to December 2013 were retrospectively analyzed, and cylindrical mirror astigmatism was used for spherical equivalent conversion. On the basis of the myopic degree, they were divided into three groups, 30 cases in group A (-0. 25~-0. 75D), 92 cases in B group (-1. 0~-2. 0D), 36 cases in group C (-2. 25 ~ -3. 0D). The card hole method was selected to measure dominant eye for subjectsat nearly 33cm and 5m. After glasses correction of ametropia, the far and near dominant eyes were received measurement again.
?RESULTS:The monocular mild myopia of dominant eye was compared with the non-dominant eye adjustment function, and there was no significant difference ( P>0. 05 ) . The dominant eye, non - dominant eye mean diopter and other correlations of eyes in the three groups were compared, and there was no significant difference (P>0. 05). The dominant eye of three groups at 5m was compared, and there was significant difference (P<0. 05). The dominant eye of three groups at 33cm was compared, and there was significant difference (P<0. 05). Dominant eye at different visual distance was compared, and there was significant difference (P<0. 05). Monocular uncorrected eye was compared with dominant eye mild afte myopia glassesr, and there was significant difference (P< 0. 05).
?CONCLUSlON: The formation of myopic anisometropia is related to the degree of clearly seeing objects, although glasses correction can improve the clarity and visual, but affect the choice of the dominant eye, because the myopic anisometropia appears most early in the dominant eye, therefore optician correction stage, which should be taken into consideration, and avoid the severity of the adolescent myopia.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(03):-
AIM To evaluate the antagonizing activity of iQWcF, a modified tripeptide, to endothelin receptors. METHORDS ①Vasoconstriction experiments with aorta strips of rats. ② In vivo experiments:male normotensive Wistar rats were anesthetized with pentobarbital Na (50 mg?kg -1 ),and catheterized into the carotic artery for measurement of blood pressure, and into the femoral vein for administration of iQWcF (30 mg?kg -1 ) and ET 1(0 9 nmol?kg -1 ). The test compound was given intravenously 5 min before the bolus injection of ET 1. Control animals received saline on the same time schedule. The blood pressure was recorded at different time interval after injecting ET 1. RESULTS ①iQWcF prohibited the vascontriction of aorta induced by ET 1 in a concentration dependent fashion.②The compound(30 mg?kg -1 .iv) markedly antagonized ET 1 induced the long lasting pressor phase mediated by ET A without affecting early transient depressor phase by ET B. CONCLUSION iQWcF is one of ET A selective antagonists.

Abstract: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has become a global public health problem due to its highly contagious nature. This article aims to discuss the current situation of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19, and to provide a basis for traditional Chinese medicine research and scientific and standardized treatment of COVID-19.In this article, the etiology, pathogenesis, treatment plan and research progress were summarized, analyzed and concluded by retrieving and reviewing the literature and clinical reports related to the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 with traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine has obvious effects in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19, improvement of clinical symptoms, and control of disease progression, which had the unique advantages of mild curative efficacy and safety. It has important practical significance in relieving patients' early symptoms and reducing the incidence of progression from mild to severe, and had great potential for development in the treatment of COVID-19. The traditional Chinese medicine intervention and the formulation of diagnosis and treatment plans for the COVID-19 need to be continuously optimized and improved. Scientific and rational application of traditional Chinese medicine to prevent and treat COVID-19, optimization diagnosis and treatment programs, and in-depth exploration of pharmacological mechanisms, especially the provide reference for early intervention of new coronavirus pneumonia by traditional Chinese medicine, the control of disease progression in the middle stage, and improve prognosis in the late stage with Western medicine.
