Nowadays more and more attention has been paid to the problems about housing and health in China. Some investigations showed that people spent almost fourteen hours in their homes every day so the houses become the major places of daily activities. It is very important to solve the problems of what is the relation between the housing and health and how the housing influences the health of the people living in it. In the present paper the author summarized the overseas and domestic researches on the housing and health and pointed out that the research on housing and health in China is just in the preliminary phase.

Objective To study the relationship of the plasma levels of high sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),adrenomedullin(ADM),brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)and matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs)with severity of heart falure, the left ventricular ejection fraction and the relationship among them in the elderly patients with congestive heart failure(CHF). Methods The blood samples were obtained from 50 patients with congestive heart failure and 24 healthy controls.The plasma level of hs-CRP was measured by immunoturbidometry.The plasma levels of ADM and BNP were determined by radioimmunoassay.The plasma levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9 were measured with ELISA.Left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)was measured by echocardiography. The nucleic acid fragment of porcine circovirus type 2(PCV2)was amplified using PCR from the tissues of a domesticated wild boar with suspected postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome(PMWS).The sample were then inoculated into the Dulac cells and passaged for 8 generation.The 4 nucleic acid fragments covered the complete genome for PCV2 were obtained by over-lapping PCR and sent to sequence.The sequence of genome was compared with other 9 strains originated from piglets in the same area.The result showed that these strains were in high homology.

Objective To investigate the association of the expressions of p27 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)and nuclear-associated antigen(ki-67)proteins in synovial sarcoma,and the relationship with its prognosis.Methods The expression of p27,PCNA and ki-67 in 36 synovial sarcoma and 10 normal synovial tissue were immunohistochemically examined.The relationship between the expressions of p27,PCNA and ki-67 proteins in synovial sarcoma with its prognosis by clinical stage,tissue grades and prognosis was investigated.Results (1)In normal synovial tissue,the expressions of PCNA(0) and ki-67(0) were positive,p27 were positive100%(10/10).but the expressions of PCNA[86.1%(31/36)]and ki-67[69.4%(25/36)]in most synovial sarcoma were positive,p27 were negative[11.1%(4/36)],significant differences were found among these expressions(χ2=25.16,χ2=9.18,P＜0.05).(2) p27 positive-expression correlated significantly wiht thehistological grade of synovial sarcoma(χ2=9.19,P＜0.05)and prognosis(χ2=5.98,P＜0.05).The positive expressions of PCNA and ki-67 were positively related with the clinical stage(χ2=7.40,χ2=8.12,P＜0.05)and tissue grades(χ2=7.17,χ2=9.18,P＜0.05)and prognosis(χ2=13.03,χ2=10.66,P＜0.05)of synovial sarcina(3) There were negative correlations between p27 and PCNA(r=-0.63,P＜0.05) and between p27 and ki-67(r=-0.53,P＜0.05).But positive correlation between PCNA and ki-67(r=0.63,P＞0.05)was found.Conclusions Expressions of PCNA and ki-67 in most synovial sarcomas are positive,and that of p27 is negative,each plays an important role in the proliferation of synovial sarcoma.Combination of measuring of the p27,PCNA and ki-67 is valuble in predicting the prognosis.

Objective To evaluate the association between interleukin-10(IL-10 )polymorphisms and endometriosis suscepti-bility by meta-analysis.Methods Computer retrieval Pubmed,Embase,Chinese HowNet,Chinese biomedical and Wanfang database.Published data relating to case-control studies reporting the link between IL-10 polymorph-isms and endometriosis were retrieved.Meta-analysis was conducted to determine whether the IL-10 gene polymorphisms were associated with endo-metriosis.Results Six studies were finally accepted for analysis.There were five studies focused on-819T/C polymorphism and six studies focused on-592A/C polymorphism.The odds ratio of each genetype for endometriosis:TT/CC,TC/CC,AA/CC and AC/CC were 0.90(0.81~0.99),P<0.05;0.92(0.82~1.02),P>0.05;0.92(0.79~1.07),P>0.05;0.98(0.90~1.06),P>0.05.No significant publication bias was found regarding TT/CC,TC/CC,AA/CC and AC/CC genotypes(P=0.81,0.81,0.71,0.26).Conclusion IL-10 gene-819TT genotypes may be a protetive factor of endometriosis.There was no related to show that other genotypes in position-819 and-592 were associated with endometriosis.

AIM: To evaluate cell proliferation, apoptosis and migration of human retinal pigment epithelial cells ( RPE) when co - cultured with human marrow mesenchymal stem cells ( hMSCs ) in condition of hypoxia and hyperglycemia so as to explore possible mechanisms of diabetes aggravating choroidal neovascularization ( CNV) preliminarily.
METHODS:Both hMSCs and RPE cells were co-cultured in a transwell system. The experiment was divided into four groups: 21% O2 with 5. 56mmol/L glucose ( control group, A ), 21% O2 with 30mmol/L glucose ( hyperglycemia and normoxia group, B ) , 5% O2 with 5.56mmol/L glucose ( normoglycemia and hypoxia group, C ) and 5% O2 with 30mmol/L glucose ( hyperglycemia and hypoxia group, D) . Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) was used to detect the proliferation of RPE cells in each group at 12, 24 and 48h respectively. Flow cytometry was performed to observe apoptosis of RPE cells at 24h. Additionally, we assessed migration
capabilities of RPE via transwell assay under the condition of hyperglycemia and hypoxia by co-culturing of hMSCs.RESULTS:In this co-culturing system, at 12, 24 and 48h, group B (1. 61±0. 41, 1. 80±0. 34;1. 91±0. 35), C (1.34±0. 46, 1. 94±0. 40, 2. 14±0. 41) and D (1. 98±0. 47, 2.26±0.42, 2. 55±0. 40) showed significantly higher proliferation rate than group A (0. 92±0. 45, 1. 27±0. 32, 1.59±0. 41, P<0. 05). The migration capabilities of RPE in group B (149. 5±9. 19), C (140±9. 90) and D (170. 5±7. 78) increased dramatically compared with group A ( 114. 5±7.78, P<0.05) at 24h, whereas there was no significant difference of apoptosis ratio among four groups (P>0. 05).
CONCLUSION:By coexistence with hMSCs, the synergy of hyperglycemia and hypoxia can improve migration and proliferation of RPE cells, and have no effect on apoptosis of RPE cells within short period.

Objective To explore clinical significence of soluble vascular cell adhesion molecular(SVCAM - 1),immunoglobulin A (IgA) anti- endothelial cells antibodies(AECA) in Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP) and their relationships. Methods SVCAM-1 were detected by ELISA between 55 cases with HSP (40 cases in acute stage and 15 cases in recovery) and 20 controls. Results The levels of serum SVCAM - 1 of the HSPN cases were significantly increased compared with the other HSP. In addition, the serum level of SVCAM - 1 in acute stage HSP children was significantly higher than that in recovery stage and normal controls. IgA AECA positive rate in HSPN was higher than that of without nephritis group. The level of serum SVCAM - 1 in IgA AECA positive children was higher than that of IgA AECA negative children. Conclusion SVCAM - 1 and IgA AECA may participate in the pathogegesis of HSP, and the level of molecule is correlated with the progress of HSP.
