International Eye Science 2017;17(3):559-561
AIM: To study the application of intravitreal injection of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)inpatients with fundus neovascularization disease in No.2 Foshan People's Hospital between 2013 to 2015.
METHODS: Retrospective analysis of inpatients of Foshan Second People's Hospital from January 2013 to December 2015, searched the inpatient management system with the term "intravitreal injection", excluded patients with intravitreal injection of TA and antibiotics, and queried the diseases involved. Then summarized the amount of inpatients of each disease as comparison.
RESULTS: Totally 239 eyes underwent injection in 3a. The proportion of male and female was even. No statistical difference among the youth, the middle age and the old group. The amount of injections was increased year by year. The main diseases underwent anti-VEGF injection was retinal vein occlusion(RVO), choroidal neovascularization retinopathy(CNV), diabetic retinopathy(DR)and polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy(PCV). Anti-VEGF injection ratio(injection/total)of the four diseases in the same year and each disease of different year were significantly statistic different. Among the four main disease, anti-VEGF injection was the most accepted in CNV patients, and anti-VEGF injection ratio was the most improved in PCV patients.
CONCLUSION: Anti-VEGF intravitreal injection as a new treatment for fundus neovascular diseases was increasingly accepted by patients.

In order to study the regularity of shedding virus from infected SPF chickens and the formation of aerosol of H9N2 subtype AIV, SPF chickens were bred in a positive and negative pressure isolator. Aerosol samples were collected by AGI-30 (All Glass Impinger-30) extractor, and simultaneously trachea and cloaca samples were collected by tracheal swabs and cloacal swabs in different periods after challenged with vi- ruses. The above-mentioned samples were detected by HI, Dot-ELISA and RT-PCR methods. The results in- dicated that aerosols were isolated from the 4 days to the 43 days after inoculation. It was proved that H9N2 subtype AIV could copy themselves in respiratory passage and cloaca, and then could formation of aerosols. AIV H9N2 subtype could be isolated from cloacal and tracheal swabs 3 days after inoculation and lasted for 45 days, viruses were detected from all infected SPF chickens on 7 days.

Taking application of some isolation and purification technologies, such as solvent extraction, preliminary solvent isolation, column chromatographies over silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 gel and preparative HPLC, 10 compounds were obtained from Gynura nepalensis cultivated in the suburban area of Beijing. Their structures were identified by spectroscopic methods and comparison with literature as (3R) -3-hydroxy-β-ionone (1), (3S,5R, 6S, 7E) -5, 6-epoxy-3-hydroxy-7-megastigmen-9-one (2), (+) -boscialin (3), 3, 6-trans-3-hydroxy-α-ionone (4), 3, 6-cis-3-hydroxy-α-ionone (5), 3, 4-cis-3, 4-dihydroxy-β-ionone (6), ethyl caffeate (7), loliolide (8), 1H-indole-3-carbaldehyde (9), and 3-(hydroxyacetyl)indole (10), respectively. All compounds were isolated from the title plant for the first time, and with compounds 1, 2, 4-7, 9 and 10 being isolated from Gynura species for the first time. Structurally, the above compounds 1-6 belong to C13 nor-sesquiterpenoids, sharing the same carbon skeleton of megastigmane. According to this study, they are one of major kinds of chemical constituents of Gynura nepalensis and have important reference value for the investigation on phytotaxonomy of this species.
