In near-infrared (NIR) analysis of plant extracts, excessive background often exists in near-infrared spectra. The detection of active constituents is difficult because of excessive background, and correction of this problem remains difficult. In this work, the orthogonal signal correction (OSC) method was used to correct excessive background. The method was also compared with several classical background correction methods, such as offset correction, multiplicative scatter correction (MSC), standard normal variate (SNV) transformation, de-trending (DT), first derivative, second derivative and wavelet methods. A simulated dataset and a real NIR spectral dataset were used to test the efficiency of different background correction methods. The results showed that OSC is the only effective method for correcting excessive background.

Objective To explore the effect of the combination of Weifu-chun and retinoic acid on the expression of Rb Gene and C -erbB -2 Gene in the patients with gastric precancerous lesions. Methods One hundred and fifteen patients with gastric precancerous lesions were ran-domly divided into the observed group ( n =60 ) and the control group ( n=60 ).the group were all given omeprazole enteric -coated capsules and hydrotalcite tablets , and at the same time the observed group was ad-ministrated with Weifuchun ( 1.436 g every time , tid ) and retinoic acid (10 mg every time, tid). The expressions of Rb gene and C -erbB-2 gene were detected by immunohistochemistry and compared after 12 months treatment. Results The positive rate of Rb gene after treatment in the observed group(87.93%) was significantly higher than that before treatment in the observed group (68.97%) and after treatment in the con-trol group(71.93%)(P<0.05).The positive rate of C-erbB-2 gene after treatment in the observed group ( 12.07%) was significantly lower than that before treatment in the observed group ( 34.48%) and after treatment in the control group(29.82%)(P<0.05).Conclusion We-ifuchun and retinoic acid could medicate the expressions of gene Rb and C-erbB-2.

Objective To explore the clinical effect of Shenqifuzheng injection combined with CAF regmien on expression of soluble interleukin 2 receptor(sIL2R), interleukin 6(IL-6), tumor necrosis factor alpha ( TNF-α) in breast cancer patients. Methods One hundred and sixty patients with mammary cancer were randomly divided into the observed group(n=80) and patients in the control group(n=80).They all ac-cepted the treatment of CAF regmien, and patients in the observed group accepted the treatment of Shenqifuzheng injection as well. The concentra-tion of sIL2R, IL -6 and TNF -αwere detected by enzyme -linked immunosorbent assay before and after treatment. Results After treat-ment, the effective rate in the observed group(55.00%) was significant-ly higher than that in the control group(38.75%)(P<0.05);the con-centration of sIL2R, IL-6 and TNF-αafter treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment in the both of the two groups (P<0.01);the concentration of sIL2R, IL-6 and TNF-αin the ob-served group was significantly lower than those in the control group ( P<0.01);the incidence of adverse reactions like blood cells reduce in the observed group ( 35.00%) was significantly lower than that in the control group(52.50%)(P<0.05).Conclusion shenqifuzheng injec-tion could reduce the concentration of sIL2R, IL -6 and TNF -αin breast cancer patients, improve the clinical efficacy, and reduce the adverse reactions.

BACKGROUNDTo investigate the interaction between the host cell and the truncated S fragments to identify the receptor-binding domain of the spike (S) protein of SARS-associated coronavirus (SARS-CoV).
METHODSTwo different fragments S260-600 and S397-796 of the SARS-CoV S protein were expressed in Escherichia coli (E.coli) using a pET expression vector, respectively. The two recombinant proteins were separately verified by Western blot, purified by nickel-affinity chromatography, and incubated with Vero cells, a susceptible cell line of SARS-CoV infection, for cell binding assay. After the sequential probing with sera from convalescent SARS-patients and FITC-labeled anti-human IgG, the cells were analyzed by flow cytometry. The NIH 3T3 cell, a non-permissive cell line of SARS-CoV infection, was used as controls.
RESULTSThe recombinant proteins S260-600 and S397-796 were efficiently expressed in an insoluble form in E.coli. The appropriate expression of the proteins was confirmed by Western blotting using both SARS patients' sera and anti-6 x histidine antibody. The flow cytometry results showed that the both proteins were able to bind Vero cells, but the binding ability of S260-600 was somewhat stronger than that of S397-796. In contrast, the S260-600 protein did not bind NIH3T3 cells.
CONCLUSIONBoth S260-600 and S397-796 exhibited different receptor binding activity. The S260-600 fragment probably contains the important receptor binding domain and could be a potential candidate for the development of SARS vaccine and anti-SARS therapeutics.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2019;25(3):267-270
With the use of light at different length and intensities, light therapy can regulate the circadian rhythm of the patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). This paper reviewed the existing domestic and foreign researches, discovered that light therapy improved the sleep quality, cognitive function, and negative emotions, etc., of AD patients, and attracted more and more people's attention. However, some other studies found that light therapy did not significantly improve the sleep quality and cognitive function of AD patients. The specific mechanism is still unclear, and further studies are needed in the future.
