2.Internal fixation for unstable scapular fracture.

OBJECTIVETo investigate surgical methods and effects of unstable scapular fracture.
METHODSFrom October 2008 to August 2011, 14 patients with unstable scapular fracture were treated. There were 12 males and 2 females with an average age of 38.7 years (ranging, 21 to 55 years).The time from injury to hospitalization was 1 hour to 10 days (mean 3 days). Among patients,3 patients had scapular body fracture,4 patients had scapular neck and body fracture,4 patients had scapular neck and acromion fracture,2 patients had glenoid cavity and coracoid fracture, 1 patient with scapular spine and coracoid fracture. All patients were treated by operation, Hardegger classification system was applied to evaluate the function.
RESULTSAll patients were followed up for 2 to 36 months (mean 12.4 months). The healing time ranged from 6 to 8 weeks. No infection and internal fixation failure occurred. The effect result of Hardegger scoring system was excellent in 9 cases, good in 3 cases, fair in 2 cases.
CONCLUSIONSurgical treatment for unstable scapular fracture can reconstruct stability of shoulder joint, promote early rehabilitation of joint function, and maximally restore shoulder function.

4.Ethical Thinking on Long-term Stay Emergency ICU Patients

In this paper , the causes of patients in emergency ICU were analyzed .The authors used classical theory of ethics to illuminate and put forward the ethical principles that both doctors and patients should follow and the conception of patients′moderate right , as well as the relevant suggestions and strategies , with the aim to make the application of emergency ICU medical resources more reasonable and make the treatment and cure of the emer -gency and critical patients more conform to the requirement of the ethics .
5.Clinical application of diffusion tensor imaging in diagnosis of craniocerebral diseases

Objective To value the clinical application of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in cerebral diseases. Methods Six volunteers and 6 patients (including 3 patients with ischemic stroke and 3 patients with glioma) were examined by DTI and T1weighted, T2weighted MR scan. All data were processed with DtiStudio software to show the white matter fiber tracts. The fractional anisotropy (FA) of the diffusion tensor were measured between the affected and the unaffected side. Results The white matter fiber tract could be observed clearly on the FA map. The pyramidal tract with different degree disruption could be showed in 3 patients with ischemic stroke. Compression, displacement, infiltration or destruction of pyramidal tract, corpus callosum or internal capsule and external capsule could be seen in 3 patients with glioma, and FA was significantly reduced on the affected side as compared to the unaffected side. Conclusion Diffusion tensor imaging is useful in observing the damage and displacement of the white matter fiber tracts in vivo, beneficial to the surgical plan for patients and prognosing recovery of function.
6.Effect of sapindoside on primary hypertension rat

AIM: To observe the effects of sapindoside on blood pressure,AngⅡ,Ald,ET in the blood plasma and NO in the serum in primary hypertension rat. METHODS: The primary hypertension rats were divided into 5 groups(high,middle and low sapindoside group,control group and captopril group,10 each) in a random fashion and drugs had been given by ig.for 32 days.The blood pressure was messured in the 1,3,7,32 day after administration.At the end of the 32 nd days,AngⅡ,Ald,ET in the blood plasma and NO in the serum were measured. RESULTS: Sapindoside could significantly lower the blood pressure,increase the levels of NO in serum,reduce the concentration of AngⅡ,Ald,ET in the blood plasma. CONCLUSION: Sapindoside plays an important role in decreasing the blood pressure of primary hypertension rat.
7.Effects of heat stress response on neutrophil apoptosis and respiratory burst function

Objective To explore effects of heat stress response on neutrophil apoptosis and respiratory burst function. MethodsNeutrophils from each of 18 healthy volunteers were divided into 3 parts,and one part was served as control group,and the other two parts were induced by heat shock or cadmium chloride for heat stress response and named as heat shock group and cadmium chloride group.The neutrophils were incubated in culture medium.At 0,2,3,4,and 6 h following heat stress induction,the heat shock protein(HSP70) expression and the respiratory burst were detected in the neutrophils respectively by using PCR technique and flow cytometer.Level of apoptosis was observed by immuno-fluorescence and flow cytometer DNA ploid at 24 h after heat stress induction. 8.Construction and sequence analysis of the recombinant plasmid affecting gene ATX translation by RNA interference

Objective To construct the recombinant plasmid carrying shRNA to ATX and analyze the nucle- ic acid sequence for further searching new gene therapy method of tumor.Methods Two DNA sequences containing short hairpin structure were designed and synthesized.The complement form was obtained by annealing and inserted into vector Psilcncer2.1-U6 neo,and the recombinant plasmid was transformed into DH5a strain.Finally the plasmid identified by restriction enzyme was used for sequence analysis.Results The recombinant Psileneer2.1-U6 neo car- rying shRNA to ATX had been constructed and the aim sequence had been obtained.Conclusion The construction of the recombinant plasmid carrying shRNA to ATX lays the basis for the study of its inhibitive effect on tumor.
9.Ifosfamide and vinorelbine combined chemotherapy in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer

Objective To evaluate therapeutic effects and toxicity of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)treated by combining chemotherapy on ifosfamide(IFO)and vinorelbine(NVB).Methods 107 cases pa- tients with advanced NSCLC were enrolled.IFO was given in a dosage of 1.5g/m~2 on day 1 to 4.and NVB in a dosage of 25mg/m~2 on day 1 and 8.It was repeated every three or four weeks,up to two to four cycles.Results Two patients had complete response and 40 patients had partial response.The overall response rate was 47.7% ,the median survival time 10.3 months,1-year and 2-year survival rate was 42% and 12.3%,respectively.The main toxicity was bone marrow suppression.Conclusion The regimen is effective,sale and tolerable in advanced non- small cell lung cancer therapy.
10.A fMRI study of item memory and source memory

Objective To examine the neural basis of item memory and source memory with fMRI approach.Methods Eight male and eight female healthy fight-handed native Chinese speakers were involved in this study.The item memory and source memory task were conducted with 504 highly frequent Chinese double-character words in the Block-designed experiment.Participants underwent such a double- round procedure as fMRI scanning following study.The fMRI data collected from a GE 1.5T MRI system were analyzed to generate corresponding activation maps for females and males respectively(P20)using statistical parametric mapping software(SPM).Results For females,item memory task activated the bilateral dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(BA6,the number of activated voxel clusters was 62 or 11 in the left and the right,respectively),source memory more activated the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(BA6/46,the number was 59).For males,item memory activated the right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(BA6/46,the number was 64),source memory activated the bilateral dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(BA6,9 and 40 in the left and the right).Conclusion On the neural basis of item or source memory,there exists dissociation,which is that right dorsolateral prefrontal areas are more activated by item memory while left dorsolateral prefrontal areas by source memory.For the difference of gender,it is suggested that left dorsolateral prefrontal areas(BA6/46)are more activated in females while right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(BA6/46)more in males.
