Objective To investigate the clinical effects of ulinastatin in treating extensive burns patients of shock period. Methods 15 patients with extensive burns were assigned to the treatment group(8 eases)and the control group(7 cases)randomly, patients in the control group were given the routine therapy, while those in the treatment group Were also given ulinastatin in the early stage of shock period. The life symptoms, urine amount, shock lasting time and complications were observed in the fourth day after injury. Results Compared to the control group, the life symptoms were steadier, urine amount was more of equivalent, shock lasting time was shorter, and complications were less in the treatment group. Conclusion In the early stage of the shock period for extensive burns patients, ulinastatin can help the patients live through the shock period steady.

Objective To summarize the clinical efficacy of free KISS lateral femoral circumflex artery perforator flap in repairing defects of limbs. Methods Twelve cases were suffered wound surface defects on hands and feet. And the defects were repaired by flap construction from October,2010 to May,2013,based on the characteristics of the defects combined with anatomical features of the free lateral femoral circumflex artery perforator flap.Length of flap was adopted as the width for direct suture in the flap donor. Results Postoperative flap and donor area preliminarily healed. There was no vascular crisis.Twelve cases received 6-18 months followed-up (averaged of 12 months). The skin flap was good in color and texture. The dorsal flap was a bit bloated.Linear scar was remained in distal flap donor area. The quadriceps muscle power level 5,knee flexion, extension 10°-180°.Quadriceps strength, knee flexion and stretch activities were all normal. The flaps recovered protective sense.Four cases had tendon adhesion after hand tendon transplantation. The finger function was well recovered after release. At the last followup, the functions of the upper limbs were evaluated according to the trial evaluation standard of the Hand Surgery Association of Chinese Medical Association:6 cases were excellent,1 case was good, and 1 case was qualified. Conclusion The design of the lobulated tissue flap of the lateral femoral circumflex artery descending branch is flexible.Large area of the surface defect can be repaired. The flap donor area is directly sutured. It is an ideal method to repair the wound tissue defect.

To investigate the feasibility to produce crocetin in tobacco plants. The coding region of zeaxanthin cleavage dioxygenase (CSzCD) gene from Crocus sativus L. was inserted into the downstream of the cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV) 35S promoter of a binary vector pBI121, and integrated into the genome of Nicotiana tabacum L. Twenty-one transgenic lines were identified by genomic southern blotting analysis. Western blotting and HPLC analysis of the leaf extracts of transgenic tobacco showed that crocetin was produced in CSzCD gene-transformed plants, while no crocetin was found in the untransformed tobacco.

OBJECTIVETo observe the correlation relationship between acupuncture at Dicang (ST 4), Hegu (LI 4) and Houxi (SI 3) on the affected side of peripheral facial paralysis patients and activated areas in brain functional areas and central regulation mechanism of acupuncture at Hegu (LI 4) treatment.
METHODSEighteen cases with left peripheral facial paralysis were randomly divided into a Hegu group, a Dicang group and a Houxi group, 6 cases in each group. They were treated with electroacupuncture at left Dicang (ST 4), Hegu (LI 4) and Houxi (SI 3), respectively, and were examined with fMRI covering the whole brain at the same time. The fMRI data was analyzed by SPM software.
RESULTSIt was found that the left precentral gyrus area and the left postcentral gyrus area were activated when electroacupuncture at left Hegu (LI 4), and the right precentral gyrus area and the bilateral postcentral gyrus area were activated when electroacupuncture at left Dicang (ST 4), and there was no activated area at precentral gyrus area and post central gyrus area when electroacupuncture at left Houxi (SI 3).
CONCLUSIONThe sensory importation information from Hegu (LI 4) and Dicang (ST 4) can converge and coincide in the brain and may influence each other.

Objective To investigate the status of infection of brucellosis in Zaodian village of Jiaozuo City,Henan Province and to analyze sources of intection and route of transmission. Methods The general information was collected through interview to search for cases and relevant information through census.infection stains of key crowd was determined through tube agglutination test(SAT)serum examination.Case-control method was used to analyze sources of infection and route of transmission. The risk factors were analyzed using logistic regressioa. Results Infectious rate of key crowd in Zaodian Village was 6.26%(27/431).Among 32 cases found since 2003,the proportion Was 7:1 between female and male.Brucellosis mainly occurred in the crowd aged 30 and 40[34.38%(11/32)].Most of them engaged in raising and slaughtering sheep.Contacting dead lamb.internal organs, meat, and blood were the main route of transmission,Contacting dead lamb, raising, and slaughtering were the risk factors showed by the logistic regression analysis(OR=8.28,5.85,2.96,P<0.05).Condusions,Theprimary cause of brucellosis infection in Zaodian Village is due to failure of the necessary quarantine and immune on animals. The diseased animal as a constant source of infection, lack of self-protection awareness lead to continuous occurrence of the disease.

To study the anti-tumor metastatic constituents in Rhodiola wallichiana (HK) S H Fu var Cholaensis (Praeg) S H Fu, chemical constituents were isolated and purified by repeated column chromatography (silica gel, Toyopearl HW-40C and preparative HPLC). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectral data analysis. The anti-tumor metastasis assay was applied to evaluate the activities of the isolated compounds. Ten compounds (1-10) were isolated and their structures were identified by comparison of their spectral data with literature as follows: syringic acid (1), salidroside (2), tyrosol (3), scaphopetalone (4), berchemol (5), 2,6-dimethoxyacetophenone (6), rhobupcyanoside A (7), miyaginin (8), chavicol-4-O-β-D-apiofuranosyl-(1 --> 6)-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (9), eugenyol-O-β-D-apiofuranosyl-(1 --> 6)-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (10). Compounds 4-6 and 8-10, were isolated from this genus for the first time, while compound 7 was isolated from this plant for the first time. Compounds 2, 6-8 showed positive anti-tumor metastatic activities, and compounds 2 and 8 showed significant anti-tumor metastatic activities.

Cancer Research and Clinic 2006;0(10):-
Objective To assess the continent diversion results of sigma rectum pouch after radical cystectomy. Methods The reconstruction of bladder with sigmoid was modified for treatment of 18 cases of bladder tumor. The intestine was incised over a length of 20~24 cm with the junction of sigmoid colon and rectum as the midpoint so as to create a low pressure reservoir for urine and side-to-side anastomosis was performed on the posterior borders of the rectosigmoid wall.Submucosal tunnel modified technique was em- ployed in antireflux urethral implantation,Urination has been controlled by anal sphincter. Results About 80 minutes was spent to finish a new low pressure pouch after radical cystectomy.Among 18 patients with this op- eration, the controlled emiction were good after pull out the anal duct and"J"stent in 1 week to 2 months.Af- ter 2 months, the times of urination is stable,4~5 times in daytime and 1~3 times during nighttime. Two pa- tients had nocturnal enuresis and the symptom vanished after 2 months. One patient had adhesive ileus, two patients had hyperchloremia acidosis and kaliopenia, one patient had urethral stump cancer. There is no com- plication as anastomotic block, renal function lesion and severe upper urinary tract infection. Conclusion This operative method was easy, emiction control was well, and with higher quality of life for patients. It is al- so a better alternative diversion procedure that would be easily accepted.
