Journal of Korean Academy of Adult Nursing 2002;14(1):73-82
The purpose of this study was to test the fitness and explainable power of TPB-SE model to the behavior of breast self examination and it was to examine effectiveness of education for Intention and behavior of breast self examination. The subjects were 122 womens under baby sitting teachers' training programs at "S"college on Po Hang city, Kyung Pook province from May 10, 1998 through October 17, 1998. Among 122 subjects, 61 were placed in experimental group and 61 in control group. The experimental group was treated by researcher who administered booklet, slide and breast model. Collected data were analyzed through x2-test, t-test, MANOVA, ANCOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient via SPSS/PC and applied LISREL 8.0 programs to test TPB-SE model. The result of this study was summarized as follows: 1. TPB-SE model with additions of self efficacy from TPB fits well for predictive factors of behavior of breast self examination and it also fits well for data (GFI=.91, R2=.45). 2. Behavior score of breast self examination in the experimental group with already educated with breast self examination was significantly higher than that of control group (Wilks's value=.711, p=000). Through the results of this study, TPB-SE model with additions of self efficacy from TPB fits well for predictive factors of behavior of breast self examination and the education of breast self examination was effective to improving intention and behavior of breast self examination. I herewith reached final conclusions that the behavior of breast self examination should be regarded as one of health behavior for all women and the health education to women for breast self examination will be important job role for all nurses. In addition to above, the intervention through effective education designed for improving attitude, subjective norm, perceived control, self efficacy and intentions will be necessary step for any improvement of women' health behavior.

Intussusception is rare in adult and usually caused by organic lesions, although there is a singnificant numbeof so-called idiopathic cases. The diagnosis of intussusception have been made by pali abdomen, barium enema andsmall bowel series. But recently ultrasound and CT make a contribution to diagnose intussusception. CT is not theprimary means for evaluation a gastrointestinal tract abnormality but also provides yaluable informations inevaluating disorders affecting the hollow viscera of the alimentary tract. CT image of intussusception demonstratea whirl like pattern of bowel loops separated by fatty stripe correlating to the intestinal walls. Abdominal ultrasonogram was used as the initial diagnostic test in 2 cases out of total 4 cases, with abdominal mass ofunknown cause. It revealed a typical pattern, composed of a round or oval mass with central dense echoes andperipheral poor echoes. We report 4 all cases of intussusception in adult who were performed by CT and/orultrasound. All cases were correlated with barium enema examination and/or surgical reports.

Congenital Hyperextension of the Knee is a extremly rare deformity, in which the tibia is displaced anteriorly in relation to the femur. It is usually classified into three subtypes according to severity of the status: genu recurvatum, subluxation and dislocation. (Curtis and Fisher) We experienced a genu recurvatum type of congenital hyperextension of the knee in June, 1976.

Purpose:
In hormone receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2–negative metastatic breast cancer (HR+ HER2–MBC), the mainstay treatment options include cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitors (CDK4/6i) and everolimus (EVE) in combination with endocrine treatment. This study aims to compare the outcomes of the following treatment sequences: CDK4/6i followed by EVE and EVE followed by CDK4/6i.
Materials and Methods:
Data from HR+ HER2– MBC patients treated between January 2014 and November 2020 with both CDK4/6i and EVE were retrospectively analyzed.
Results:
Among the 88 patients included in the study, 51 received CDK4/6i before EVE (C→E group), and 37 received EVE before CDK4/6i (E→C group) with endocrine treatment. More patients in the E→C group had endocrine resistance (13.7% vs. 40.5%), experienced palliative chemotherapy (7.8% vs. 40.5%), and were heavily treated (treated as ≥ 3rd line, 5.9% vs. 40.5%). Median overall survival was 46.8 months in the C→E group and 38.9 months in the E→C group (p=0.151). Median composite progression-free survival (PFS), defined as the time from the start of the preceding regimen to disease progression on the following regimen or death, was 24.8 months in the C→E group vs. 21.8 months in the E→C group (p=0.681). Median PFS2/PFS1 ratio did not differ significantly between groups (0.5 in the C→E group, 0.6 in the E→C group; p=0.775). Ten patients (11.4%) discontinued EVE, and two patients (2.3%) discontinued CDK4/6i during treatment.
Conclusion
Although the CDK4/6i-based regimen should be considered as an earlier line of treatment, CDK4/6i- and EVE-based treatments can be valid options in circumstances where the other treatment had been already given.

Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 2017;58(7):862-865
PURPOSE: Periocular tuberculosis is common in the form of conjunctival tuberculosis or uveitis; however, orbital tuberculosis is very rare. We report a case of tuberculosis diagnosed based on bilateral orbital masses. CASE SUMMARY: A 64-year-old male with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease presented with diplopia. His best-corrected visual acuity was 1.0, and intraocular pressure was 16 mmHg in both eyes. Bilateral proptosis was noted, and inferior orbital masses were palpated in both eyes. On orbital computed tomography, irregular masses were surrounding both globes in the extraconal space. Incisional biopsy of the bilateral orbital masses was performed under local anesthesia. Pathologic examination revealed chronic granulomatous inflammation accompanied by caseous necrosis. The patient was diagnosed with bilateral orbital tuberculosis and underwent triple therapy with isoniazid, rifampin, and ethambutol for 12 months. The orbital masses completely resolved, and there was no recurrence or complication through 12 months after treatment. CONCLUSIONS: To our knowledge, bilateral orbital tuberculosis has not been reported yet. Herein, we report a case of orbital tuberculosis presenting as bilateral orbital masses.

The use of angiographic embolization gas been well described for the control of gynecologic bleeding. Recently, we have experienced the successful embolization in two case of serons bleeding related to giynecologic malignancy. Clinical evaluation revealed a gynecologic cancer with active bleeding. Becaause we judged that conservative management was unable to cuntrol the bleeding, we underwent an angiographic embolization. The result presented here indicates that angiographic embolization is a relatively safe, effective and rapid procedure that should be considered early in management of gynecohogic cancer bleeding that is unresponsive to conservative management.

A clinical study on the antihypertensive effect of long-acting propranolol was performed in 25 patients with essential hypertension. Following a week treatment of the subjects with the regimen of propranolol 40mg twice a day during the first week, 160mg of long-acting propranolol was given once a day for the subsequent 4 weeks. At the end of the fifth week, in 8 out of 25(32%) blood pressures were lowered to the level of 140/90 mmHg or lower, in another 8(32%) the blood pressures were lowered by 20 mmHg or more of systolic and/or 10mmhg or more of the diastolic pressures. Eleven out of 12 subjects, whose blood pressures had been significantly lowered at the end of the first week of propranolol treatment, manifested significant blood pressure lowerings also at the end of 4 weeks' long-acting propranolol treatments. Long-acting propranolol had beneficial effect of ameliorating anginal pain in 2 subjects who had had angina pectoris before the beginning of hypertension. Adverse side eiffects observed were mild fatigue in one, indigestion in one and sinus bradycardia in another one.

The recent therapeutic advances for treating hematologic neoplasm have improved patients' survival, but these treatments have increased the frequency of neurologic complications and toxic effects. Most of the neurological features of leukemia are divided into three main categories: the primary effects of the disease, the treatment-related side effects and the infectious complications. The purpose of this pictorial assay is to document the radiologic abnormalities seen in the intracranial structures during and after the treatment of leukemia, and to aid in the clinical management of patients.
