PURPOSE: The purpose of this research was to delineate the effects of organizational injustice on negative behaviors of employees with the mediating effects of trust. METHODS: A survey was conducted among 550 nurses in 11 departments of 3 hospitals located in the Pohang area. Data were analyzed using frequency, descriptive statistics. correlation coefficients, regression analysis. RESULTS: Procedural injustice (beta=-.48, p<.001) had the greatest negative effect on organizational trust, followed by interactional injustice(beta=-.15, p<.001) and distributive injustice(beta=-.14, p<.001). For supervisor trust, both procedural (beta=-.11, p=.006) and interactional (beta=-.63, p<.001) injustice had a negative effect. While supervisor trust (beta=-.28, p<.001) had greater negative effects on organizational negative behaviors of nurses compared to organizational trust (beta=-.21, p<.001), supervisor trust (beta=-.29, p<.001) had negative effects on personal negative behaviors but organizational trust had no significant effect on personal negative behaviors. CONCLUSION: To reduce the negative organizational behaviors of nurses, an organizational effort is needed to reduce procedural injustice by introducing fair organizational management and to reduce interactional injustice through formal or informal communication channels between supervisors and nurses.

Atretic cephalocele is a rare congenital cranial anomaly. We have experienced 3 cases of atretic cephalocele at the Department of Neurosurgery, Kyungpook University Hospital between 1990 and 1993. Clinical features, operative considerations, and outcome are discussed.

3D histology is a imaging system for the 3D structural information of cells or tissues. The synchrotron radiation propagation phase contrast micro-CT has been used in 3D imaging methods. However, the simple phase contrast micro-CT did not give sufficient micro-structural information when the specimen contains soft elements, as is the case with many biomedical tissue samples. The purpose of this study is to develop a new technique to enhance the phase contrast effect for soft tissue imaging. Experiments were performed at the imaging beam lines of Pohang Accelerator Laboratory (PAL). The biomedical tissue samples under frozen state was mounted on a computer-controlled precision stage and rotated in 0.18° increments through 180°. An X-ray shadow of a specimen was converted into a visual image on the surface of a CdWO4 scintillator that was magnified using a microscopic objective lens (X5 or X20) before being captured with a digital CCD camera. 3-dimensional volume images of the specimen were obtained by applying a filtered back-projection algorithm to the projection images using a software package OCTOPUS. Surface reconstruction and volume segmentation and rendering were performed were performed using Amira software. In this study, We found that synchrotron phase contrast imaging of frozen tissue samples has higher contrast power for soft tissue than that of non-frozen samples. In conclusion, synchrotron radiation propagation phase contrast cryo-microCT imaging offers a promising tool for non-destructive high resolution 3D histology.
