1.Effect of UVA Radiation upon Sunburn Cell Formation by UVB.
Korean Journal of Dermatology 1987;25(1):25-30
This study was done to study the effect of UVA radiation upon sunburn cell formation by UVB. In this study a total of 67 ICR male albino haired mice were used. The results were as follows: 1. UVA radiation produce a little or no sunburn cell in doses 5 J/cm(2), 10 J/cm(2), and 15 J/cm(2). 2. Preirradiation of UVA 5 J/cm, 10 J/cm(2), 15 J/cm(2) had no effect on the sunburn cell formation by UVB 20 mJ/cm(2), 80 mj/cm(2)

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1987;25(3):379-382
We report a case of solar urticaria being activated by both UVA and visible radiation and positive in passive transfer test by visible light, which was treated with sunlight and UVA radiation. A short course of treatment with sunlight produced no benificial effect. UVA phototherpy produced a rnarked increase in the minirnal urtication dose by UVA but there was no increased tolerance to sun exposure.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1985;23(3):361-364
Solar urticaria is an uncommon disorder characterized by rapid development of urticarial reaction in areas of skin exposed to nonizing electromagnetic radiation. Herber and Baer classified solar urticaria into eight types on the basis of action spectrum and passive or reverse passive transfer ability. We report two cases of type ]g solar urticaria which were activated by visible light and negative in both passive and reverse passive transfer test.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1986;24(1):164-168
We report two familial cases of reticulate acropigmentation of kitamura in 20-year-old male and 29-year-old female patients in which reticualte, brownish, slightly depressed pigmentation developed on acral parts of extremities and subsequently extended proximally. Characteristic pits and breaks on palms and soles were noted. Histologic findings revealed epidermal atrophy and enlongation of rete ridges with large amounts of melanin. Electron microscopic findings showed increased melanogenesis in melanocytes and numerous melanosomes and melanosome complex in keratinocytes.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1986;24(1):8-15
In this study, a total of 115 ICR male albino haired mice were used and divided into two groups(A & B) for experiment. In group A(65 mice), quantiatation of sunburn cell(SBC) production and its distribution according to the time course after ultraviolet irradiation was measured. In group B(50mice), quantitation of dose-response experiments for SBC production after ultraviolet irradiation was measured. The results were as follows: ]. SBCs were recognized by 2 hours after irradiation. There was a tendency to increase from 2 hours to 24 hours and decrease from then to l week after irradiation, 2. The increase of SBCs in lower epidermis 2 hours io 8 hours after exposure and in upper epidermis 24 hours after irradiation were statistically significant (p<0. 05). SBG number in all layers declined from 36 hours to 1 week after exposure. 3. The linear relationship which observed(y=8.09+0.85x, R=0.87) suggests a dose-response relationship between UVB dose and SBC number.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1985;23(1):112-119
Dermal melanocytosis such as nevus of Ota and extensive Mongolian spots are sometimes associated with hemangiomatous changes. Ota gave the designation of phakorriatosis pigmentovascularis to a spectrum of these combinations. We oLserved four cases of phakomatosis pigmentovascularis. They showed extensive, various dermal melanocytosis and widespread nevus flammeus. They exhibited signs of involvement of the systemic organs such as abnormality of electroencephalograrn, soft tissue hypertrophy and convulsion.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1985;23(1):105-108
It has been generally assumed that eccrine poroma ariees from acroayringium, epidermal sweat duct unit. One of the characteriatics of thie structure is abaence of melanocytes and melanin granules among ite cells. Hmvever, a cornplete abeence of melanocytes and melanin granules in eccrine poroma is not invariable and a few reparts of such an occurrenee were presented, We report a case of eccrine poroma on the area below lateral malleolus af left foot. Microscpically melanin granules, confirmed by the use of Fontana Masson stain, were found in some of the tumor cells.

Herein we report a case of lentigo maligna that evolved into lentigo maligna melanoma. Fifteen years ago, the patient developed a pigmented lesion on the right cheek. The lesion progressed slowly, and 2 months ago, a black nodular lesion was developed in the periphery of the pigmented lesion. Histopathologic examination of the lesions revealed findings consistent with lentigo maligna and lentigo maligna melanorna. She had been performed wide excision and cheek flap for reconstruction.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1984;22(6):664-667
Becker's nevus or Becker's melanosis is a distinct clinical entity in which epimal thickening may be minimal and hairiness and pigmentation obvious. 1Ne report a case of 14-year-old female suffering from Beckers melanosis with multiple and extensive skin lesions. The electron microscope revealed that the melanocytes were bulky with increased melanogenesis and an increased number of melanosomes was found in the keratinocytes. In addition, a large number of melanosomes were seen individually in the keratinocytes.
