Traditional sequences of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) such as T1-weighed imaging, T2-weighed imaging, and fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) imaging can sensitively detect the subacute and chronic intracranial hemorrhage; gradient echo sequence can detect various stages of intracranial hemorrhage, but there is no correlation between the signal intensity of the hematoma and the time of the presence of hematoma. Diffusion-weighted imaging and apparent diffusion coefficient may provide more information about the center and surrounding areas of hematoma, as well as the hemorrhagic tendency after infarction.

Collagen (Coll), as the basic material of matrix scaffolds for cell growth, has been widely used in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. In this study, collagen protein was modified by L-lysine (Lys), and cross-linked by genipin (GN) to prepare the L-lysine-modified collagen (Lys-Coll-GN) scaffolds. Microstructure, pore size, porosity, stability and biocompatibility of Lys-Coll-GN scaffolds were observed. The results showed that the bond between L-lysine and collagen protein molecule was formed by generating amide linkage, and mouse embryo fibroblasts proliferation was not inhibited in the Lys-Coll-GN scaffolds. In the multiple comparisons of Coll-scaf- folds, Coll-GN scaffolds and Lys-Coll-GN scaffolds, Coll-scaffolds was the worst in mechanical characteristics while the highest in biodegradation rate. Compared to Coll-GN scaffolds, Lys-Coll-GN scaffolds had more fiber structure, higher interval porosity (P<0. 01). Although the tensile stress of Lys-Coll-GN scaffolds reduced significantly, its e- longation length extended when the scaffolds was fractured (P<0. 01). The percentage of Lys-Coll-GN scaffolds residual weight was lower than that of Coll-GN scaffolds after all the scaffolds were treated by collagenase for 5 days (P<0. 01). This study suggested that Lys-Coll-GN scaffold had good biocompatibility, and it improved the mechanical property and degradation velocity for collagen-based scaffold. This study gave a new predominant type of tissue engineering scaffold for the regenerative medicine.

Objective To explore the double-labeling method of monitoring the GHRP regulatory function on [Ca2+]i and NO in cardiomyocytes of rats on real time under LSCM.Methods The reformed constant-flow Langendorff system and enzyme-dissociated was used to isolate cardiomyocytes.[Ca2+]i and NO in the cardiomyocytes of SD rats were double-labeled by their molecular probe Rhod-2/AM and DAF-FM/DA,respectively to monitor the regulatory function of GHRP on [Ca2+]i and NO on real time by LSCM.Results Ca2+ signal showed a red fluorescence and NO showed a green fluorescence while the overlapping of the two signals showed a yellow-green fluorescence by this system, and the similar effect presents in both double-labeled state and the single labeled one:GHRP induced a transient[Ca2+]i increase then followed by a plateau phase while there was not significant change in NO signal system after GHRP stimulation under the LSCM in the cardiomyocytes of rats. Conclusions After having established the double-labeling method we monitored the GHRP regulatory function on [Ca2+]i and NO on real time in cardiomyocytes of rats under LSCM causing the [Ca2+]i biphasic increase while no significant change in NO signal system.

Objective To investigate the process of apoptosis in lungs and liver induced by crushing hindlimbs of rat, and study the mechanismof crush injury. Methods The rat experimental model of hindlimbs crush injury was established. The cell apoptosis in lungs and liver was detected by TUNEL assay, and the expression of Bax, Bcl-2 and caspase-3 apoptin was examined by immunohistochemistry. Results C ompared with the control group, the partial muscle injury of rat’s hindlimbs was more serious with more apoptosis observed in lungs and liver (P<0.05). The expression of Bax was up-regulated and Bcl-2 was down-regulated, whereas caspase-3 expression was activated (P<0.05). Conclusion The cell apoptosis has increased significantly in lungs and liver after crush injury of hindlimbs in rat. The corre-lation factor released during tissue injury may mediate apoptosis process.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the impact of the drug price limits policy on the consumption of anti-infectives in our hospital.METHODS:The consumption sum and DDDs of the chief categories of anti-infectives in our hospital before and after the adoption of drug price limits policy(between Oct.,2004 and Sept.,2005 and between Oct.,2005 and Sept.,2006)were analyzed statistically.RESULTS & CONCLUSION:Both DDDs and consumption sum of the chief categories of anti-infectives in our hospital decreased markedly since the adoption of drug price limits policy.

Objective To investigate the effect of aspirin on the incidence of thromboembolism in hypertensive patients associated with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.MethodsFour hundred hypertensive patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (mean age 59 years) free of thromboembolic events were randomized assigned to receive aspirin (0.3 g/d) or placebo. Cerebral thromboembolism, including transient ischemic attack and embolism of peripheral arteries were defined as primary outcomes. Event-free survival curves were estimated by Kaplan-Meier curve. Results During 3.6 years follow-up,primary outcomes occurred in 61 patients (4.3% per year). Aspirin significantly reduced the incidence of primary outcome as compared with placebo group( 9.0% vs 21.5%,P

OBJECTIVETo dicuss the application and therapeutic effect of middle-forearm flap based on perforator of ulnar artery for electrical burn wound on the wrist.
METHODSFrom Oct. 2009 to Oct. 2012, 10 cases of electrical burn wounds on the wrist were treated. A line from radialis medial epicondyle of humerus to the interior radialis pisiform bone was connected as flap axis. At the midpoint of the line, Doppler flow imaging meter was used to detect the emerging point of perforator vessel. The flap was designed and harvested. The flap was transferred reversely, with superficial vein retaining which was anastomosed with vein at recipient sites in 3 cases. The wounds in the donor sites were closed directly in 2 cases, and with skin graft in 8 cases.
RESULTSAll the 10 flaps survived completely. 7 cases without vein anastomosis underwent obvious flap edema during 2-4 days postoperatively, which resovled 1 week later. Sub-flap tissue necrosis and infection happened in 2 cases, which healed after dressing and drainage. Patients were followed up for 3-36 months with satisfactory results.
CONCLUSIONSThe middle-forearm flap based on perforator of ulnar artery has a stable and reliable blood supply. It offers a new choice for the electric burn wound on the wrist, especially at the ulnar side.

Objective To investigate the efficacy and adverse effect of herceptin combined with docetaxel in patients with localized advanced breast cancer. Methods 16 patients with localized advanced breast cancer were treated with herceptin (8 mg/kg in the first cycle and 6 mg/kg from 2 to 4 cycles,d1) and docetaxel (75 mg/m2 ,d2) for 4 cycles. Three weeks were taken as a cycle. Following chemotherapy, the patients underwent improved radical operation of breast cancer or radical operation of preserving breast. Results The overall response rate (oRR) was 87.5%. The complete clinical remission rate (cCR) was 56. 3%. The complete pathologic remission rate (pCR) was 25.0%. The mainly adverse effects were bone marrow depression and gastrointestinal toxicity. Conclusion The regimen of herceptin combined with docetaxel is effective and can be well-tolerated by patients with localized advanced breast cancer. It shows promising prospect in clinical application.
