China Pharmacy 2015;(22):3025-3028
OBJECTIVE:To provide a reference for promoting the effect of government subsidies to the R&D conducted by pharmaceutical enterprises, increasing enterprises’internal input to R&D and improving innovation performance. METHODS:By building the theoretical model of the relation of the government subsidies and internal input to R&D and the innovation performance on the basis of the assumptions, the empirical study was conducted on the pharmaceutical enterprises in Jiangsu Province though re-gression analysis and mediating effect analysis. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:The scale designed had good reliability and validity. The final model was obtained after empirical test. Giving considerations to relevant coefficients, the results showed that all assump-tions were verified except 3. Where, government subsidies to the R&D promoted enterprises’internal input to R&D and innovation performance, and internal input to R&D served as a complete mediator between government subsidies to the R&D and innovation performance, that is to say, government subsidies to the R&D had indirect promotion influence on innovation performance, with the influence coefficient as 0.405. It is suggested that the government should increase subsidies to R&D conducted by pharmaceuti-cal enterprises in a reasonable manner to make full use of the guiding function of government funds, and pharmaceutical enterprises should attach importance to internal input to R&D and establish its principal status in innovation system.

Chinese Journal of Vaccines and Immunization 2008;0(02):-
Haemophilus influenzae (Hi) is a pathogen exclusively found in humans. It causes a wide range of infections from the upper respiratory tract to serious invasive diseases. Such as pneumonia, septicemia and meningitis. Strains of Hi are usually classif ied into six serotypes a to f and nontypeable H. influenzae (NTHI) according to the antigenicities and compositions of their polysaccharide capsules. Hib was a common cause of serious infections in younger children. The polysaccharide-protein conjugate vaccines against Hib had almost eliminated H. influenzae as a cause of pediatric meningitis. However, NTHI remains an important pathogen, particularly in children and the elderly. Efforts to understand and control NTHI disease have been hampered by the diversity of these bacteria. This review introduced the study progress about pathogenic mechanism of NTHI. In order to provide the help for development of vaccine, clinic treatment and prevent the occurrence of diseases causing by NTHI.

Objective To investigate the roles of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and phosphatidyl-inositol 3-kinase-Akt (PI3K-Akt) in neuroprotection against spinal cord ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury by ischemic postconditioning (IP) or controlled low perfusion pressure (LR). Methods One hundred and twenty-six adult male SD rats weighing 300-350 g were randomly divided into 7 groups (n = 18 each): group Ⅰ I/R; group ⅡIP; group Ⅲ LR; group Ⅳ IP + LY-294002 (IP + LY); group Ⅴ LR + LY-294002 (LR + LY); group Ⅵ IP +N-acetylcysteine (IP+ N) and group Ⅶ LR+ N-acetyl-cysteine (LR+ N). Spinal cord ischemia was induced by 9 min occlusion of the thoracic aorta combined with controlled hypotension (MAP = 40 mm Hg). In IP group the animals were subjected to 3 cycles of 30 s reperfusion interspersed with 30 s ischemia immediately after release of aortic occlusion. In LR group MAP was maintained at 40 mm Hg for another 5 min immediately after release of aortic occlusion, then increased to 100 mm Hg. In group Ⅳ-Ⅶ LY-294002 (PI3K inhibitor) 25 mg/kg or N-acetylcysteine (ROS scavenger) 100 mg/kg were administered at the onset of reperfusion. Twelve animals in each group were killed at 2 h of reperfusion. The lumbar segment of the spinal cord was removed for determination of the level of Akt phosphorylation and opening of mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP). Neurological function was assessed and scored (15 = normal function, 0 = unable to move hind limb) at 4, 12, 24 and 48 h of reperfusion in another 6 animals in each group. The animals were then killed after last assessment and the lumbar segment of the spinal cord was removed for detection of apoptotic neurons. Results Compared with I/R group, both IP and LR significantly enhanced the level of Akt phosphorylation in the spinal cord, inhibited mPTP opening and neuronal apoptosis and increased neurological function scores. There was no significant difference in the protective effects exerted by IP and LR. The neuroprotective effects exerted by IP and LR were abolished by LY-294002 and N-acetylcysteine. Conclusion Ischemic postconditioning or controlled low perfusion pressure can protect the spinal cord from I/R injury by activating PI3K-Akt and inhibiting mitochondrial permeability.

AIM: To observe the changes in infiltrating macrophages (M?)and extracellular matrix (ECM) in the kidney in the progressive course of nephrotoxic nephritis (NTN). METHODS: NTN model was established with rabbit-anti-rat nephrotoxic serum. On day 3, 7, 15, 30 and 90, renal biopsies were performed. Renal histology was checked under light microscopy with HE and Masson's trichrome staining sections. M?, fibronectin (FN), type Ⅲ and Ⅳ collagen were examined with immunohistochemistry ABC method. RESULTS: Infiltration of M? appeared on day 3 of NTN and preceded changes of FN and collagen. On day 15 of NTN, all nephritic animals had significant proteinuria, increased serum creatinine, infiltration of M? and deposit of entracellular matrix. On day 90 of NTN, seven nephritic animals improved significantly, while other five developed renal scarring with diffuse infiltration of M? which positively paralleled to renal function and deposit of FN, type Ⅲ and Ⅳ collagen. CONCLUSION: M? infiltrating into renal tissue enhances deposit of ECM and therefore plays important roles in progression or improvement of NTN.
