Objective To investigate the expression of PTTG and VEGF-C in laryngeal carcinoma and the effect of angiogene-sis .Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of PTTG 、VEGF-C and LMVD in 60 cases of laryngeal car-cinoma and 32 cases of para-carcinoma tissue .D2 40 positive products was used to locate lymphatic endothelial cell cytoplasm and cell membrane ,and count lymphatic microvessel density (LMVD) .Results The expression of PTTG and VEGF-C in laryngeal car-cinoma was significantly higher than that in para-carcinoma tissue(P<0 .05) .In laryngeal carcinoma ,the expression of PTTG and VEGF-C were associated with differentiation ,lymph node metastasis and clinical stage(P<0 .05) ,but independent of clinical classi-fication ,smoking history ,tumor′size ,sex and gender(P>0 .05) .The expression of LMVD in laryngeal carcinoma was significantly higher than that in para-carcinoma tissue(P<0 .05) .The expression of LMVD was associated with lymph node metastasis (P<0 .05) ,but independent of differentiation ,clinical classification ,clinical stage smoking history ,tumor′size ,sex and gender ( P>0 .05) .A significantly positive relation was found between PTTG and VEGF-C(P<0 .05) .And there were positive relation between PTTG and LMVD、VEGF-C and LMVD(P<0 .05) .Conclusion PTTG and VEGF-C might play an important role in the carcino-genesis and development of laryngeal carcinoma .PTTG and VEGF-C could be a prognostic factor of colorectal cancer and a new tar-get of gene therapy .

Objective To study the efficacy of medication management, symptom management and community reentry skills-training modules to prevent rural patients with schizophrenia from relapse and increase their social function. Methods 89 subjects were randomly assigned to the skills training group (45 cases) and the control group (44 cases). Both groups received the same treatments, but the skills training courses were given to the skills training group for twelve weeks when the subjects were addmitted into the trial and at their one-year follow-up timepoint respectively. And a two-year follow-up was carried out. All subjects were evaluated with PANSS, SDSS, relapse and employeement. Results 89 subjects had completed the study. The skills training group demonstrated clinical Results significantly superior to those of the control group on overall improvement according to PANSS and SDSS. Substantially, statistically significant advantages of the skills training group were related to 1) the rate of relapse (11.1% vs 31.8%), 2) the rate of employment (37.8% vs 15.9%).Conclusion Medication management, symptom management and community-re-entry skills-training modules are effective in reducing patients' psychiatric symptoms, preventing them from relapse and increasing their social function.

Objective To observe characteristics of atherosclerotic plaque of coronary heart disease(CHD)with different traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome type based on intravenous ultrasound(IVUS).Methods Data of 116 CHD patients were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into syndrome of blood stasis due to qi deficiency(n=33),syndrome of blockade of phlegm-turbidity(n=42)as well as syndrome of intermin-gled phlegm and blood stasis(n=41)according to TCM syndrome differentiation.IVUS was performed to compare lesion vessel and plaque characteristics among different syndromic types of CHD.Results The lipid pool area, extravascular elastic membrane area, remodeling index, plaque eccentricity index of CHD with syndrome of blood stasis due to qi deficiency were all larger than those of syndrome of blockade of phlegm-turbidity as well as syndrome of intermin-gled phlegm and blood stasis(all P<0.05).The proportion of fibrous-fatty within plaques of syndrome of blood stasis due to qi deficiency was bigger than that of syndrome of intermin-gled phlegm and blood stasis(P<0.05).The lipid pool area, extravascular elastic membrane area and plaque eccentricity index of CHD of syndrome of blockade of phlegm-turbidity were smaller than, while the proportion of necrotic core within plaques was bigger than those of syndrome of intermin-gled phlegm and blood stasis(all P<0.05).Conclusion Atherosclerotic plaque characteristics in CHD with different TCM syndrome types were different, and the plaque stability of syndrome of blood stasis due to qi deficiency was the worst.

The tendon-bone interface is where the tendons or ligaments are connected with the bones. A spectrum of injuries may happen to the "soft-to-hard" tissue interface, including those to the rotator cuff-bone and cruciate ligament-bone interfaces, which are often precipitated by a combination of degenerative changes on the tendon-bone interface and acute or chronic injuries, thus severely impairing the patients′ motor function. In recent years, with the deepening of the interdisciplinary researches in biomechanics, mechanobiology, and sports medicine, the role of mechanical factors in the repair of tendon-bone interface injuries has attracted more and more attention and becomes a focus of the edge-cutting researches on the tendon-bone interface injuries. To this end, the authors proposed the concept of "tendon-bone interface mechanomedicine" based on an overview of the relevant researches at home and abroad. The mechanical properties of the tendon-bone interface and the effects of mechanical stimuli on its biological behavior were elucidated from the four aspects: biomechanics, mechanobiology, mechanodiagnostics, and mechanotherapy, aiming to explore the diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for tendon-bone interface injuries from the angle of mechanics and provide new perspectives and methodologies for the field of tendon-bone interface injury repair.
