Objective To observe the curative effect of Yiqi Congming Decoction on tinnitus and deafness. Methods From May 2015 to May 2017 in the first affiliated hospital of Tianjin university of traditional Chinese medicine 74 cases of tinnitus and deafness patients, all patients were diagnosed as tinnitus, deafness, and has been hearing examination, examination and imaging examination of tympanic membrane. All patients were treated with Yiqi Congming decoction, 2 weeks for a course of treatment, a total of 3 courses of treatment. The therapeutic effect of the patients was observed. Results After 3 courses of treatment, 44 cases were markedly effective (59.46%), effective in 22 cases (29.73%), ineffective in 8 cases (10.81%), and the total effective rate was 89.19%. At the same time, follow-up studies were conducted on patients with significant efficacy and no recurrence was observed. Conclusion The method of Yiqi Congming decoction has better curative effect in the treatment of tinnitus and deafness.

Leveraging the centralized drug purchase platform of medical institutions in Beijing, the study measured the drug price index (DPI) and the DDD price index from 2005 to 2013, and the outcomes indicate a drop of both the drug price index and the drug price index calculated by DDD.Despite such drops however, drug price drop by itself could not curb the constant rise of drug expenses and medical costs due to changes in the structure and interval of drug administration.

Objective To survey the incidence of acquired adult aplastic anemia (AA) in Shanghai, China. Meanwhile, we compared it with the previous data from China in 1986 and other countries in order to explore the trends. Methods Newly diagnosed AA patients were registered in 6 districts (Jingan, Xuhui, Huangpu, Changning, Putuo, Yangpu ) in Shanghai from 2004 to 2006. Then we calculated the crude and age-adjusted incidence of AA according to the population data from Shanghai Statistic Yearbook. Results There were 38 adult patients with acquired AA. The average crude incidence of AA was 0. 33/100 000 from 2004 to 2006. The incidences per 100 000 persons per year were 0. 40, 0. 14and 0. 64 in 18-34, 35-59 and ≥ 60 years, respectively. The rate of severe AA was 0. 17/100 000.Conclusion The incidence of severe AA has no marked change, but the total rate is a little decreased compared with the data from China in 1986.

Objective Expwre to the mechanism of the function of nerve protection to the secondary injury in the rat of intercerebral hemorrhage by acupuncture.Methods 160 healthy Wistar male rats were selected.The rats were assigned into 3 group randomly:model group,pinprick set,piracetam group.containing 50 rats in each.Each group were again divided into five time phase point of6 hours,1 day,2days,3days,7days.containing 10 rats in each.All rats were made to be the intercerebral hemorrhage model.Another 10 rats were assigned as the control.The pinprick group were acupunctured on the "Baihui" penetrating "Qubin".Results In the pinprick group,the expression 0fNGF of ratg brain dssue surrounding the hematoma was increased gradually and to the peak in 7days with the increasing of different time phase point.In the same time phase point,compare with the model group,the pinprick groupb expression of NGF was higher obviously.Both were relatively showed the significant difference(P＜0.01)and had statistical sigllificanle.Conclusion The therapy of acupuncture Can promote the expression of NGF of the rat'sbrain tissue surrounding the hematoma.

Objective To establish a novel glucocorticoid (GC)-resistant human diffuse large B lymphoma(DLBCL) cell line Toledo/dexamethasone (DEX) by the exposure to DEX,and observe the biological characteristics of resistant and parental cell line,investigate the mechanisms of glucocorticoid-resistance.Methods Toledo/DEX was established by the exposure to DEX,the dose of which was increased gradually and intermittently for long periods of time.Toledo,in the logarithmic growth phage,was incubated in the culture medium containing DEX at the concentration of 1×10-8 mol/L at first.The medium without DEX was replaced after for 96 hours until the cell line re-entered the logarithmic growth phase.Repeat the above steps to acquire the ultimate concentration of DEX in the medium as 1.024 ×10-5 mol/L.The biological characteristics of resistant and parental cell lines were evaluated.Results Toledo/DEX was more invasive in the aspects of ultrastructure,tumorigenicity and drug sensitivity.Meanwhile,Toledo/DEX achieved some stable biological characteristics such as morphology,karyotypes and immunophenotype.Furthermore,GC receptor (GR) α and GR β protein expression analysis showed that GR was involved in the mechanism of the GCresistance.Conclusions Toledo/DEX is a drug-resistant cell line with a stable biology backgroud.These results may help shed light on the knowledge of GC-resistance and lay the groundwork for searching new therapeutics to reverse drug-resistance.

Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of laparoscopic versus open surgery for early cervical cancer and analyze the factors that influence laparoscopic surgery for early cervical cancer. Methods:The clinical data of 411 patients with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO)stage IA1-IIA2 cervical cancer who received treatment in Liuzhou Worker's Hospital, China between January 1, 2000 and August 31, 2016 were retrospectively analyzed. The clinical data were divided into laparoscopic surgery ( n = 320) and open surgery ( n = 91) groups according to surgical approaches. The operation time, intraoperative injury, intraoperative blood loss, time to first postoperative anal exhaust, postoperative complications, time to extubation, and postoperative recurrence rate were compared between laparoscopic surgery and open surgery groups. Multivariable COX regression analysis was performed to analyze the recurrence of cervical cancer after laparoscopic surgery. Results:The operation time in the laparoscopic surgery group was significantly shorter than that in the open surgery [(223.4 ± 53.2) min vs. (251.0 ± 50.0) min, t = 20.200, P < 0.05]. The intraoperative blood loss, time to extubation and the time to first postoperative anal exhaust in the laparoscopic surgery group were less or shorter than those in the open surgery group (all P < 0.05). Under the premise that there were no significant differences in vascular and lymphatic space invasion, tumor size, parametrial invasion, depth of muscle invasion, lymph node metastasis, and vaginal margin between the laparoscopic surgery and open surgery groups, the 1-year and 3-year recurrence rate of cervical cancer was 9.4% (30/320) and 15.9% (51/320), respectively and the 1-year and 3-year tumor-free survival rate was 90.6% and 84.1%, respectively in the laparoscopic surgery group; the 1-year and 3-year recurrence rate of cervical cancer was 4.4% (4/91) and 9.9% (9/91), respectively and the 1-year and 3-year tumor-free survival rate was 95.6% and 89.6%, respectively in the open surgery group. There were no significant differences in 1-year and 3-year recurrence rate of cervical cancer and 1-year and 3-year tumor-free survival rate between laparoscopic surgery and open surgery groups (all P > 0.05). During the 5-year follow-up, there were no significant differences in the recurrence rate of cervical cancer (18.7% vs. 12.2%) and the tumor-free survival rate (81.9% vs. 86.8%) between the laparoscopic surgery and open surgery groups (both P > 0.05). Univariate and multivariate analysis showed that positive lymph node metastasis, tumor size ≥ 2 cm, FIGO stage > IB1 and non-squamous cell carcinoma pathological type are the risk factors for the recurrence of cervical cancer. Conclusion:Laparoscopic surgery for early cervical cancer can reduce the intraoperative and postoperative complications. Positive lymph node metastasis, tumor size ≥ 2 cm, FIGO stage > IB1, and non-squamous cell carcinoma pathological type are the risk factors of recurrence of cervical cancer after laparoscopic surgery.

Objective:To evaluate the value of CT angiography (CTA) for vertebral artery (VA) injury in the transverse foramen region of cervical vertebra.Methods:The clinical and CTA imaging data of 56 patients with cervical spine trauma in People's Hospital of Yuxi City from January 2016 to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. To observe the VA were or not injuried and their degrees, and the relationship between fracture in transverse foramen region and injured of the VA by applying post processing techniques such as volume reconstruction (VR), image fusion, curved planar reconstruction (CPR), multi-planar reconstruction (MPR), vascular analysis and so on.Results:There were 35 cases in the positive group of transverse perforation stenosis among the 56 patients, and 21 cases in the negative group. There were 19 cases injuried the VA in the positive group of stenosis, but just 5 cases′VA were injuried in the negative group of stenosis, with statistically significant differences ( P<0.05). The risk of VA injuried caused by different degrees of transverse perforation stenosis in the positive stenosis group was statistically significant ( P<0.05). The VA damaged distribution were: 3 cases in V1 segment, 16 cases in V2 segment, 5 cases in V3 segment. The degree of luminal stenosis were: 9 cases of mild stenosi, 7 cases of moderate stenosis, 5 cases of severe stenosis, and 3 cases of luminal occlusion. Conclusions:The CTA of VA can clearly show its anatomical route, degree of injury, range and its adjacent relationship with the fracture end of the transverse foramina of cervical vertebra, which can provide evidences of objective and reliable imaging for spinal surgeons to assess their conditions and select the treatment plans.

OBJECTIVE To find the differences in QOL between patients treated with total laryngectomy with voice rehabilitation or without voice rehabilitation and subtotal laryngectomy, to analysis the factors affecting QOL of patients after laryngectomy by HNQOL. METHODS With HNQOL,a survey was conducted in patients treated with total laryngectomy (30cases) with voice rehabilitation, 30 cases without voice rehabilitation, and 30 cases treated with subtotal laryngectomy for laryngeal cancer. We discuss changes of QOL with time went by,and analysis the factors affecting QOL of patients after laryngectomy. RESULTS There is no difference between patients treated with total laryngectomy with .voice rehabilitation and the one treated with subtotal laryngectomy in their quality of life, however, there is difference between patients treated with total laryngectomy without voice rehabilitation and the one treated with subtotal laryngectomy. CONCLUSION Through voice rehabilitation ,we could advance quality of life of the patients treated with total laryngectomy. Through the integration of psychological, clinical and social intervention, the quality of life of patients may have an overall improvement.

Objective To study the value of PSADT in predicting the prognosis and the possibility of disease progression for patients with prostate cancer after MAB therapy.Methods Based on the retrospective review of the history and the follow-up of 159 prostate cancer patients,who received MAB therapy in our department from January 1994 to December 2010,PSADT values were calculated and survival analysis was performed.The ages at diagnosis ranged from 54 to 90 years with a median of 74 years.The pretreatment PSA value ranged from 2.6 to 275.0 μg/L with a median of 46.8 μg/L.The patients of Gleason score ≤6,7 and ≥8 constituted 27.7％,42.1％ and 25.2％,respectively.Only 26.4％ of the patients were staged as T1N0M0-T2N0M0 and the others had locally advanced disease or metastasis.A multivariate analysis with a Cox's proportional hazard model was used and the disease progression rates in different PSADT groups were also compared.Chi-square test and Log-rank test were applied in statistic analysis.Results The 159 patients received follow-up with a median period of 28 months (6-126 m).The median PSADT of these 159 patients was 5.7 months (0.5-21.0 m).The 3-year and 5-year survival for the 71 patients,whose PSADT were not less than 6 months,were 89.4％ and 47.6％ respectively,compared with 49.8％ and 30.6％ for the other 88 patients whose PSADT were less than 6 months.The survivals were significantly different between the two groups (P ＜ 0.01).It was confirmed by a further multivariate analysis with a Cox' s proportional hazard model that PSADT was one of the predictive factors of the prognosis of these prostate cancer patients with a hazard ratio of 2.6 (P ＜ 0.01).Moreover,disease progression were found in 19.7％ of the PSADT≥6 m group during the follow-up compared with 63.6％ in the PSADT ＜6 m group.The disease progression rates were also significantly different (P ＜ 0.0 l).Conclusions PSADT can be used to predict the prognosis of patients with prostate cancer after the MAB therapy.The survival for the patients,whose PSADT are not less than 6 months,is higher than those whose PSADT less than 6 months.Meanwhile,PSADT can predict the possibility of disease progression after MAB treatment.

BACKGROUND:Antedor canulated screw has been considered an ideal method to treat odontoid fracture.OBJECTIVE:To compare the biomechanical properties of different anterior screws.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized contrast study was performed at the Biomechanics Laboratory of Southern Medical University from March to September 2006.MATERIALS:Double-thread canulated screws and single-thread canulated screws were made of titanium alloy and provided by Shuangyang Medical Apparatus Co.,Ltd.,Suzhou.METHODS:A total of head-neck complexes (C0-C3) which were collected from 20 corpses were maintained in formaldehyde for less than 3 months;thereafter,the muscles and ligaments were removed to obtain the axis specimens so as to make type Ⅱ odontoid fracture models.The fracture samples were individually treated with double-thread and single-thread canulated screws,with 10 samples for each group.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:The shear stiffness and the maximum resistance of the two kinds of screw were tested in this study.RESULTS:The shear stiffness of the double-thread screw group was significantly higher than the single-thread screw group (P＜0.01 );however,there was no significant different in the maximum resistance between the two groups (P＞0.05).CONCLUSION:Double-thread canulated screws have a strong biomechanical stability for treating odontoid fracture;therefore,the first choice of the internal fixation should be double-thread canuiated screws for patients with osteoporosis or those who are susceptible to expanded screw pathway during surgical procedures.
