Purpose:To investigate the effect of CD40 ligandization on breast cancer cell line and endothelial vein cell line.Methods:The expression of CD40 and its ligand on breast cancer cell line(M231),EVC cell line,fresh clinic breast cancer cell were determined by indirect immunofluorescence assay with flow cytometry(FCM) analysis.Then M231 cells cultured with CD40 agonsitic monoclone antibody,adriamycin alone or in combinations for 72 hours and proliferation of M231cells was determined by MTT assay.FCM was employed to study the cells' death or apopotosis with Annexin V PI assay.Results:M231 and ECV cell line and fresh clinic breast cancer cell are highly expressed CD40 but no CD40L.CD40 ligandization can not only inhibit the proliferation of M231 cell line but also inhibit ECV cell line by promoting the death or apoptosis of these cells.Combined CD40 agonsitic monoclone antibody with adriamycin may obviously inhibit proliferation of M231 and ECV cell line.Conclusions:CD40 ligandization may have double therapeutic effect to breast cancer: inhibit the proliferation of breast cancer cell and inhibit tumor angiogenesis by inhibiting vascular endothelial cell.

Objective In order to study the effects of three drainage methods after operation of breast cancer. Methods We demonstrated the drainage reliability of the negative pressure bottles by measuring their negative pressures.We reviewed the incidence of flap dropsy of 103 patients with breast cancer operated from 1988 to 2001.Results Negative pressure of the bottle made by ourselves is 83.33 kPa at the room temperature and 74.12 kPa after 200ml fluid being drained. The incidence of skin flap dropsy of the negative pressure bottle is significantly lower than those in another two groups.Conclusion The negative pressure bottle is reliable, convenient and applicable in all levels of hospital.

ObjectiveTo study the biologic distribution of 131I-Herceptin in BALB/c-neu nude mice bearing HER-2 positive SK-BR-3 human breast cancer xenografts and the radioimmunoimaging characteristics of nude mouse bearing human SK-BR-3 breast cancer xenografts. MethodSK-BR-3 breast cancer cells were implanted subcutaneously to athymic mice to establish animal model.Tumor bearing mice were continuously imaged with SPECT. The radiocounting per minute (cpm) of different organ on a γ-arithmometer was measured at 4,12,24,48 h postinjection of 131I-Herceptin or 131I-mlgG,and the T/NT ratios and the uptake percentages per gram of the injection dose (％ ID/g) was gained. ResultsModel was established in 96％ nude mouse.Compared with the control group,there was a significantly stronger contrast enhancement of tumor imaging,bigger T/NT and ％ ID/g in experimental group ( P ＜ 0.0l ).Conclusions 131I-Herceptin concentrates obviously in implanting tumor tissues of nude mouse,hence it is a good radiopharmaceutical agent targeting SK-BR-3 xenografts.

Objective: To study the effect of moist therapy on dermal radio lesions. Methods:13 located dermal radio lesions about Ⅲ-Ⅳ stage from 12 cases were treated with moist therapy. Wound managing steps for each time: The first step was to measure the size of wounds and take photos, and then evaluate individual pain level by a numeric pain scale. The second step was to assess and analyze the factors affecting wounds healing, including nutrition, sleeping, activity, psychological condition. After that the individualized plans about nutrition, activity, and psychological care were made. While exchanging dressings, the implementation and effects of the plans must be evaluated and adjusted. The mechanical debridement combined with autolyzing debridement was used for wounds managing. Then the wounds were saturated with bFGF and normal saline, and wetly covered with occlusive dressings. Wounds were managed every two days until wounds healed. Results: All 13 wounds were cured. The average healing time was (10?6)d and the average cost was (202?48)yuan. The pain level after moist therapy was significantly lowered than before(P

Objective To study the the causes, management and preventive measures for complications of holmium laser ureterolithotripsy. Methods Three hundred and seven cases of uteteral calculi from Jan. 2006 to Jan. 2010 were reported (203 men and 104 women, age ranged from 18-83 years,mean age 51.6 years). One hundred thirty-three patients had calculi in the lower ureter,94 in the middle part and 80in the upper ureter. Results The overall comminution rate was 89.9% (276/307 cases). sixteen cases (5.2%) were followed by ESWL due to the shift of the stones to the renal pelvis. The operation failed in 9 cases(2.9%), 3 cases(1%) had perforation,and recoveried after open operation. Deep infection was found in 3(1%)cases,which recoveried after anti-infective therapy. Conclusions Holmium laser ureterolithotripsy is an effective method for treating ureteral calculi, with advantage of high efficiacy,safety and minimal invasion. To master the operating induction, to raise operating technique and to take correct measure could reduce complications effectually.

Objective To determine the incidence of breast cancer?related lymphedema ( BCRL) in China and to analyze the associated risk factors. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data and the incidence of BCRL in 281 patients who were newly diagnosed with breast cancer and received surgery. The incidence of BCRL was evaluated using arm circumference measurement and Norman questionnaire. The risk factors for lymphedema were analyzed using chi?square test and logistic regression model. Results In all patients,the incidence rates of BCRL determined by arm circumference measurement and Norman questionnaire were 31?7% and 27?0%, respectively. The multivariate analysis showed that postoperative radiotherapy,a preoperative body mass index no less than 24 kg/m2 ,a large axillary lymph node dissection area,and a large number of positive axillary lymph nodes significantly increased the risk of BCRL (HR=2?87,P=0?042;HR=2?54,P=0?011;HR=1?97,P=0?037;HR=1?06,P=0?023). Moreover, patients with breast cancer and hypertension had 1?74?fold higher risk of BCRL than those with normal blood pressure. Conclusions The incidence of BCRL is still very high. However,most of patients only have mild edema. Postoperative radiotherapy, a large axillary lymph node dissection area, a large number of positive axillary lymph nodes,a high preoperative body mass index,and hypertension are risk factors for BCRL.

Objective To evaluate the effect of assertive case management on relapse and health economic evalua?tion in schizophrenics living in communities. Methods Two hundred outpatients were randomly divided into the study group (107 enrolled, 107 completed) which received assertive case management and the control group (93 enrolled, 91 completed) which received normal management treatment for 12 months. Clinical global impression scale (CGI) and the cost of treatment were assessed every three months. Medication adherence and family burden were evaluated before treat?ment and 3, 6 and 12 months after the treatment using Medication Adherence Rating Scale (MARS) and Family Burden Instructing, respectively. Results The study group was less likely to relapse compared with the control group over the 12-month follow-up and the relapse rates were 1.9%and 11.0%in study and control groups, respectively (P<0.01). The repeated-measures analysis of variance indicated that time main effect was significant in severity of illness factor score of CGI (P<0.01). The time main effect and group main effect in factor 1 and factor 3 scores of MARS were significant (all P<0.05) and there was an interaction effect in factor1 score of MARS (P<0.01). In the study group, time effect were signifi?cant in factor 1 score of MARS (P<0.01). The time main effects in indirect cost and total cost were significant and so were interaction effects in direct cost and total cost (P<0.05). In the study group, time effects were significant in direct cost and total cost (P<0.01). Comparison of FBI dimensions before and after the intervention showed that family relation?ship was much more decreased in the study group than in the control group (P<0.01). Conclusions Assertive Case Man?agement can reduce the recurrence of schizophrenia living in communities, improve compliance medication and family re?lationship as well as reduce the cost of treatment.

Objective To investigate the value of T2WI histogram analysis in differential diagnosis of glioblastoma multiform (GBM) from solitary metastasis.Methods Data of 103 patients with pathologically confirmed GBM (GBM group,n=57) and solitary brain metastasis (solitary brain metastasis group,n =46) were retrospectively reviewed.All patients underwent conventional MR scanning,including axial T1WI,T2WI,FLAIR and contrast-enhanced T1WI before surgery.The histogram metrics,including mean,standard deviation (SD),median,kurtosis and skewness were calculated from ROI,which were manually placed on the maximal section of the solid part of tumors on T2WI by using Image J software.ROCs were generated to evaluate differential diagnostic performance of the histogram metrics with significant difference between both groups.Results The values of mean,SD and median were significantly higher in GMB group than those in solitary brain metastasis group (P＜0.05).The areas under ROC curve of mean,SD and median was 0.772 (95％ CI [0.681,0.862],P＜0.001),0.719 (95％ CI [0.616,0.822],P＜0.001) and 0.767 (95％ CI [0.674,0.860],P＜0.001),respectively;and the diagnosis cutoff value of mean,SD and median was 509.575,58.844 and 550.500,respectively.The sensitivity of the three parameters was 0.719,0.702 and 0.719,and the specificity was 0.783,0.652,and 0.826,respectively.Conclusion The value of mean,SD and median of T2WI histogram analysis can be helpful to differentiating GBM and solitary brain metastasis,of which the mean value is the best for differential diagnosis.
