1.Effects of bFGF on the proliferation of human salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma ACC-2 cell line and MEK/ERK, NF-?B signaling pathway

Objective:To investigate the effects of bFGF on the proliferation of human salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma cell ACC-2 in vitro. Methods:The effect of bFGF on proliferation of ACC-2 cell line was observed by MTT assay; ERK activity was measured by immuno-precipitation; and ERK and I-?B? expressions were assessed by Western blot. Results:bFGF can enhance the proliferation of ACC-2 cell line. Stimulated by bFGF, the proliferation ratio increased significantly. The intracellular ERK activity and p-ERK expression were increased and I-?B? expression was inhibited by different concentrations of bFGF. The above effects of bFGF can be attenuated by MEK inhibitor U0126. Conclusion:bFGF stimulates the proliferation of ACC-2 in the dose dependent manner, which may be due to up-regulating ERK, NF-?B signaling pathway.

AIM:With the development of microelectronics and the microsurgery,it becomes possible to directly extract all kinds of information from the brains of organisms.How to establish a communicative pathway that does not dependent on human brain and human tissues between human brain and computer?Hence,we explored a design project of an implantable system that could be reasonably applied in the extraction,transmission and control of the cranial neural electric signals in brain computer interface(BCI). METHODS:To bring out a design project of an implantable electric system for the extraction,transmission and control of the cranial neural electric signals through the application of the latest microelectronic techniques into the domain of the extraction of brain electric signal and to discuss in detail the key technique,difficulty and possible solutions involved in the projects. CONCLUSION:The proposed project can collect cranial neural electric signals from different depth within 16× 16 with the data precision of 12 bit,which is a closed loop control system.

4.Serotype distribution characteristics and molecular typing of Salmonella in Yunnan Province from 2015 to 2017

Objective To study the serotype distribution characteristics and genotypes of Salmo-nella strains isolated in Yunnan Province from 2015 to 2017. Methods Automatic microbiological identifi-cation system and mass spectrometer were used to identify Salmonella strains. Their serotypes were detected using the White-Kauffmann-Le Minor (WKL) scheme based on serological detection. Genotyping was car-ried out by referring to the molecular typing method of Salmonella serotype pulse field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) in PulsenetChina. Cluster analysis was performed with Bionumerics (7.6). Results A total of 408 strains of Salmonella were detected in food and patients in Yunnan Province form 2015 to 2017,belong-ing to 70 serotypes. Thirty-four Salmonella derby strains were detected in food,accounting for 19.10% of all Salmonella strains detected in food. Among the Salmonella strains detected in patients,71 were Salmonella enteritis and 67 were Salmonella typhimurium,accounting for 30.34% and 27.63%, respectively. Results of PFGE revealed that Salmonella derby and Salmonella typhimurium were polymorphic,and Salmonella en-teritis had obvious advantages PFGE band patterns. No obvious time or geographical aggregation was found in the PFGE bands of the three Salmonella species. Conclusion Seventy Salmonella serotypes had been iden-tified in Yunnan Province by 2017. Salmonella derby was the predominant serotype detected in food, while Salmonella enteritidis and Salmonella typhimurium were the predominant serotypes in patients. These three Salmonella species caused sporadic infections in Yunnan Province.

6. Efficacy and safety of domestic dasatinib as second-line treatment for chronic myeloid leukemia patients in the chronic phase

Objective:
To investigate the efficiency and safety of domestic tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) dasatinib (Yinishu) as second-line treatment for patients with chronic myeloid leukemia in chronic phase (CML-CP).
Methods:
A retrospective analysis of clinical data of CML-CP patients who received domestic dasatinib as second-line treatment in the CML collaborative group hospitals of Hubei province from March 2016 to July 2018 was performed. The optimal response rate, the cumulative complete cytogenetic response (CCyR), the cumulative major molecular responses (MMR), progression free survival (PFS), event free survival (EFS) and adverse effects (AEs) of the patients were assessed at 3, 6 and 12 months of treatment.
Results:
A total of 83 CML-CP patients were enrolled in this study. The median follow-up time was 23 months. The optimal response rates at 3, 6 and 12 months in 83 CML-CP patients treated with dasatinib were 77.5% (54/71), 72.6% (61/75) and 60.7% (51/69), respectively. By the end of follow-up, the cumulative CCyR and MMR rates were 65.5% (55/80) and 57.1% (48/73), respectively. The median time to achieving CCyR and MMR was 3 months. During follow-up time, the PFS rate was 94.0% (79/83) and the EFS rate was 77.4% (65/83). The most common non-hematological AEs of dasatinib were edema (32.5%), rash itching (18.1%) and fatigue (13.3%). The common hematological AEs of dasatinib were thrombocytopenia (31.3%), leukopenia (19.3%) and anemia (6.0%).
Conclusion
Domestic dasatinib was effective and safe as the second-line treatment of CML-CP patients and it can be used as an option for CML-CP patients.
