1.Net energy analysis for annual 200 000 ton cassava ethanol production at Guangxi COFCO.

Guangxi COFCO innovates its annual 200 000 ton cassava ethanol production in recent years. To evaluate the energy input/output of the production process, we used the domestic life cycle model. The calculation results show that the net energy value was 9.56 MJ/L ethanol. Energy input for ethanol production was 51.3% of the total. 61.5% of energy input for ethanol production was used for steam input in ethanol distillation. Energy produced from by-product was 5.03 MJ/L ethanol. Hence, efficient use of raw materials is an important measure to improve the energy efficiency in Guangxi COFCO and energy compensation from byproducts has key impact on the net energy saving.

2.Insights into engineering of cellulosic ethanol.

For energy security, air pollution concerns, coupled with the desire to sustain the agricultural sector and revitalize the rural economy, many countries have applied ethanol as oxygenate or fuel to supplement or replace gasoline in transportation sector. Because of abundant feedstock resources and effective reduction of green-house-gas emissions, the cellulosic ethanol has attracted great attention. With a couple of pioneers beginning to produce this biofuel from biomass in commercial quantities around the world, it is necessary to solve engineering problems and complete the economic assessment in 2015-2016, gradually enter the commercialization stage. To avoid "competing for food with humans and competing for land with food", the 1st generation fuel ethanol will gradually transit to the 2nd generation cellulosic ethanol. Based on the overview of cellulosic ethanol industrialization from domestic and abroad in recent years, the main engineering application problems encountered in pretreatment, enzymes and enzymatic hydrolysis, pentose/hexose co-fermentation strains and processes, equipment were discussed from chemical engineering and biotechnology perspective. The development direction of cellulosic ethanol technology in China was addressed.

3.Analysis of clinical application of critical value electric reporting system

Objective To investigate the clinical application value of the critical value electric reporting system .Methods The critical value data from Aug .1 ,2015 to Jan .31 ,2016 were inquired through the electronic hospital information system (eHIS) .The incidence rate of critical values ,items distribution and department distribution were analyzed .Results A total of 3 405 items of crit‐ical value were reported .The occurrence rate of critical values was 0 .45% .The top 5 of critical values numbers were chlorine (25 .76% ) ,myocardial‐specific isoenzyme of creatine kinase (19 .97% ) ,serum sodium (9 .43% ) ,platelet count (9 .05% ) and partial pressure of carbon dioxide (6 .40% ) .The top 5 departments of critical values reported number were the cardiology department (18 .94% ) ,followed by neurological intensive care unit (12 .04% ) ,intensive care unit (9 .52% ) ,second wards of neurosurgery (5 .11% ) and neurovascular wards (5 .02% ) .The median time of critical value report was reduced by 33 .33% and the quartile range time weas reduced by 40 .00% .Conclusion The application of critical value electric reporting system reduces the elapsed time of critical value report ,increases the promptness and accuracy of critical value report ,and has an important significance to guarantee the medical quality .
4.Application of color doppler ultrasound examination of thyroid in occupational health care of radiation-exposed physicians.

OBJECTIVETo explore the value of color doppler ultrasound examination of thyroid in occupational health care of radiation-exposed physicians.
METHODSOne hundred and thirty-four radiation-exposed physicians (observation group) and sixty-eight non-radiation-exposed physicians (control group) received color doppler ultrasound examination of thyroid using ALOKA SSD-4000 color doppler ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, and the results were compared between the two groups.
RESULTSThe anteroposterior diameters of the left lobe, right lobe, and isthmus of the thyroid in the observation group were significantly larger than those in the control group (P < 0.01). Compared with the control group, the observation group had significantly larger internal diameters and peak blood flow velocities during systole of the right superior thyroid artery (P < 0.05, P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in detection rates of thyroid nodules and lymph nodes between the observation group and the control group (18.7% vs 13.2%, P > 0.05; 6.7% vs 1.5%, P > 0.05). The radiation-exposed physicians were exposed to low-dose ionizing radiation with a dose between 0.14 and 1.67 mSv/a.
CONCLUSIONThe color doppler ultrasound examination of the thyroid can detect early changes in the thyroid of radiation-exposed physicians exposed to long-term and low-dose ionizing radiation.

The European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) 2022 clinical practice guidelines showed us venous thrombosis management in January 2022. In terms of iliac vein diseases, it retained some guiding views, upgraded some guiding views, and added some new views compared with the version 2015. It has good guidance and reference significance for medical staff and patients. The part of the guidelines about iliac vein disease is worth our interpretation.
6.Investigation of Intestinal Absorption Characteristics of Multi-index Components of Danggui Buxuetang Based on Drug Absorption Simulating System

ObjectiveTo investigate the intestinal absorption characteristics of multi-index components in Danggui Buxuetang with drug absorption simulating system (DASS) established by everted intestinal sac model. MethodThe intestinal absorption solution at different time points after administration of Danggui Buxuetang was collected and detected by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), acetonitrile (A)-0.2% glacial acetic acid solution (B) was used as the mobile phase for gradient elution (0-16 min, 15%-23%A; 16-20 min, 23%-28%A; 20-25 min, 28%-30%A; 25-30 min, 30%A; 30-35 min, 30%-65%A; 35-45 min, 65%-95%A), the detection wavelength was 302 nm. HPLC fingerprint of intestinal absorption solution was established and the common peak was calibrated, and the relative cumulative absorption rate of each index component was calculated. The relative cumulative absorption curves of components were fitted with various mathematical models by DDSolver 1.0 to explore the absorption law of different components. ResultThe absorption process of C2 (calycosin-7-glucoside) and C6 in Danggui Buxuetang was in line with zero-order equation, C9 was best fitted by Weibull equation, and the remaining 7 components were in line with Makoid-Banakar equation. C1 with C2, C3, C5, C7 and C10, C2 with C5 and C7, C3 with C4, C5, C7 and C10, C4 with C6 and C10, C5 with C7, C6 with C10, C7 with C10, C8 with C9 were absorbed simultaneously during the absorption process. With the prolongation of time, the overall cumulative absorption rate of Danggui Buxuetang increased. At 120 min, the overall cumulative absorption rate of Danggui Buxuetang exceeded 38%, and reached 49.14% at 180 min. ConclusionTen ingredients in Danggui Buxuetang are absorbed in the jejunum, but absorption law of various components is different, which shows that the intestinal absorption of compound preparations of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has multiple characteristics. Intestinal absorption study of TCM compound preparations with chemical composition as the index can reveal some of its absorption law, but it is not complete.
