Objective To investigate the effect of fluvastatin and butylphthalide soft capsules in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction and the dynamic effect on serum C reaction protein.Methods 80 patients with ACI were randomly divided into the observation group and control group with 40 cases in each group.All ACI patients were given conventional treatment,the control group was given fluvastatin,the observation group based on this to use butylphthalide soft capsule.The NIHSS score,ADL score,blood rheology indexes and CRP levels of two groups were compared before and after treatment,and evaluated clinical efficacy.Results The total effective rate of observation group was 92.5%(37/40),the control group was 70%(28/40),the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The NIHSS score of observation group at 7 d and 14 d of treatment were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05),the ADL score of observation group at the 30,90 d of treatment were significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05 ).The hematocrit,fibrinogen in observation group after treatment were significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.05 ). The CRP of ACI patients in two groups were decreased after treatment,and at the third day significantly lower than those before treatment in the observation group (P<0.05 ),while the control group had significant difference at the seventh day after treatment compared with those before treatment (P<0.05).Comparing two groups,the CRP levels of observation group at 3,7,14 d of treatment were significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Compared the single use of fluvastatin,combination of atorvastatin and butylphthalide soft capsules in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction can improve the blood rheology,faster the recovery of neural function and CRP decrease quickly,and with higher efficacy,is worthy of clinical application.

Objective To clone and express HCMV UL123 gene exon 2,3(ie1-exon2,3) in bacterial two-hybrid bait plasmid,and identify its self-activation property.Methods HCMV ie1-exon2,3 carried on pTWIN1/ie1 recombinant was amplified by PCR and cloned into the pBT plasmid,which was transformed into E.coli XL1-Blue MRF' Kan host strain.The positive recombinant was identified by PCR,restriction enzyme digestions and sequencing analysis.The verified plasmid was transformed into bacterial two-hybrid system reporter strain.The soluble fusion protein was analyzed by SDS-PAGE and Western blot.The self activation effect of the recombinant was then tested.Results Bacterial two-hybrid pBT/ie1-exon2,3 bait plasmid was successfully constructed.The corresponding soluble fusion protein rIE1-N_(85)/?C1 was expressed in bacterial two-hybrid system reporter strain,and didn't show self-activation property.Conclusion Bacterial two-hybrid pBT/ie1-exon2,3 bait plasmid without self-activation property was successfully constructed,and it can be used to screen the library of fetal brains.

Objective To investigate significance of interferon-γ/interleukin-4(IFN-γ/IL-4) and macrophages in uterus in early embryo loss (or resorption), and to elucidate the anti-abortive effect and the immunological modulation at maternal-fetal interface with quercetin and bornvl acetate. Methods Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)(0.10μg/mouse)was injected via tail vein in order to induce abortion in 7-day-gestation mice which received quercetin and bornvl acetate at days 4-7 of gestation. Levels of IFN-γ and IL-4 in uterus lysate supernatant were measured using enzyme-linked immuno-absorbent assay (ELISA), and uterine macrophages of each group ( n =10) were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results The amount of macrophages was much higher in the uteri of LPS-induced abortion mice than that in control mice. The abortion rate of mouse declined to certain level. The therapy of quercetin combined with bornyl acetate reversed LPS-induced abortion. Conclusion The increase of IFN-γ/IL-4 and the amount of macrophages in the LPS-treated mouse uterus is associated with the embryo loss, and quercetin and bornyl acetate have the anti-abortive effect through modulation of maternal-fetal interface immunity balance.

Objective To investigate the approach of diagnosis and therapy of particular tracheal bronchus foreign body.Methods The clinical materials of 26 cases cured in our department were analyzed retrospectively.Results All foreign bodies of cases were taken out successfully.Among them,the foreign bodies of 18 cases were removed from glottis;the foreign bodies of 4 cases were pulled out via laryngoscope;the foreign bodies of 3 cases were drawn away through tracheotomy by endoscopy and 1 case was moved out by bronchofibroscopy.Only 1 case had lung edema and then was cured by proper treatment.Conclusion Considering that the particular foreign bodies in tracheal bronchus are complicated sometimes,the diagnosis and therapy should be treated appropriately according to different situation.Furthermore,properly choosing surgical appliances and the approaches of anaesthesia and surgery is also critical.

Objective To summarize the experience of surgical management of carotid tumors ( CBT ) and application of shunt between common and internal carotid artery intraoperatively. Methods Thirty patients of CBT (mean age:39. 2 ±2. 3 years old,10 male and 20 female, 15 in left, 14 in right and 1 in both sides) who underwent surgical resection, were retrospectively reviewed. The average size of CBT was 4.9 ±0.3 cm. The diagnosis was established by ultrasound, CT, MRI or carotid arteriography. 16 patients underwent surgical resection of CBT, 10 patients underwent additional ligation of external carotid artery, and 4 patients underwent additional intraoperative shunt between common and internal carotid artery. Results Surgical procedures were successfully performeded in all 30 patients with CBT. Intraoperative shunts were successfully used between common and internal carotid artery in 4 patients. The postoperative complications included hoarseness (15) , bucking (11), crooked tongue ( 17) , dyspnea (1), dysphagia(3). There was no hemiplegia and death. Conclusion Surgical resection is the choice of treatment of carotid body tumor. The application of intraoperative shunt between common and internal carotid artery in complicated Shamblin Ⅲ stage is safe and effective.

AIM:To develop a new method of gas chromatography for simultaneously determining curcumol contentin and β-elemene in Zedoary Turmeric Oil.METHODS:Separation and quantification were achieved on a quartz capillary column(30 m×0.32 mm)of PEG with a column temperature gradient from 80℃(holding for 7 min)to 140℃ at a rate of 20℃/min,holding for 15 min,taking N2 as loader.The temperature for gasification was 210℃;the temperature for detection was 200℃;the compressive stress of column was 0.27 MPa.RESULTS:Under the optimal chromatographic conditions,the linear range of curcumol contentin was within 0.230 5-3.23 mg/mL and the linear range of the β-elemene was within 0.237 5-3.33 mg/mL.The average recovery of curcumol contentin was 100.4% with a relative standard deviation(RSD)of 1.1% and β-elemene was 100.2% with a RSD of 2.2%.CONCLUSION:The results show that it is a simple,rapid,accurate and sensitive method which is suitable for analysis of complex component(curcumol contentin and β-elemene)in Zedoary Turmeric Oil at the same time.

Objective To analyze the effects of adenohypophysis function after treating with thyrotropin releasing hormone and its clinical significance in patients with brain trauma. Methods There were 22 cases with traumatic brain injuries from July 2010 to September 2012 in Chinese people's Liberation Army nine eight hospital,after injuried within 4 to 12 hours,then 1 1 cases who were given thyrotropin-releasing hormone(TRH)were selected as experimental group,while 1 1 cases who were given the same amount of isotonic saline were selected as control group,then the score of GCS, ICS,RLS85 and the improvement of adenohypophysis function were observed. Results After treatment,the score of glasgow coma scale (GCS ), innsbruck coma scale (ICS),and the reaction level scale (RLS85)between two groups were significantly increased in three days compared with before treatment,and within three days after injury situation,the improvements of ICS and RLS85 in experimental group were better than control group(P<0.05 ). Compared with control group,the levels of each gland pituitary hormone in experimental group were significantly increased(P<0.05 ),and on the third day,the growth hormone (GH)was reduced significantly,finally 50%of that in control group. Conclusion Patients with brain injury treated with thyrotropin releasing hormone,has no significant adverse reactions,with the characteristics of safe and effective.

Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of serum sialic acid for glioma.Methods A retrospective study was conducted.The levels of sialic acid in serum samples of 95 glioma patients, 175 patients with brain benign tumor and 400 normal persons from October 2014 to March 2015 were detected by automatic biochemistry analyzer using enzymic method.The SNK-q test and analysis of variance were used to compare the difference of the groups.By making receiver operating characteristic ( ROC) curve, the cut-off value, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value were calculated to assess the diagnostic value of serum salivary acid.Then the cut-off value was validated by using the serums of 30 glioma patients and 30 normal persons who were out-patients and healthy controls.Results The levels of serum sialic acid in patients with gliomas, patients with brain benign tumor and healthy individuals were (0.66 ±0.14 ) g/L, (0.61 ±0.09 )g/L, (0.54 ±0.07 )g/L.The serum salivary acid of glioma patients were higher than brain benign tumor patients (q=6.74,P<0.05) and normal persons (q=16.42,P<0.05), and there was no significant difference (F=1.67,P>0.05) among the glioma patients of different grades (8 of gradeⅠ,32 of gradeⅡ,24 of grade Ⅲ,31 of grade Ⅳ).There was no significant difference between the low grade patients (gradeⅠandⅡ) and the high grade patients (gradeⅢandⅣ) (t=0.55, P>0.05), but the level of serum sialic acid of high grade group had an increasing trend than the low grade group.The area under the ROC curves was 0.79.The cut-off value of serum salivary acid for diagnosing glioma was 0.61 g/L.The sensitivity was 67.74%, and the specificity was 80.60%.The positive predictive value was 44.68%, and the negative predictive value was 90.76%.Then the cut-off value was used as a diagnostic criteria, and the detected results of 30 glioma patients and 30 normal persons showed that the sensitivity was 63.30% and the specificity was 83.30%.Conclusions The serum sialic acid has good specificity and negative predictive value for diagnosing glioma.It may be a valuable diagnostic marker.

Objective To compare clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis between triple-negative and HER-2-overexpressed breast cancer patients.Methods From Jan.1997 to Jan.2007,data of 725 cases of primary breast cancer patients undergoing surgical treatment were analyzed.The patients were classified into triple-negative and HER-2-overexpressed phenotypes based on immunohistochemistry results.The clinicopathological characteristics and survival of the 2 groups were compared.Results Of the 725 cases,triple-negative and HER-2-overexpressed phenotypes accounted for 12.29%and 24.96%respectively.Compared with HER-2-overexpressed group,the triple-negative group had significantly higher proportion of familial history of malignancy (18.4% vs 5.5%,P=0.001)and higher proportion of patients'histological grade reaching grade 3(54.0% vs 42.0%,P=0.01).There were more lymph node metastasis in triple-negative group than that in HER-2-overexpression group(N1+N2+N3:74.7%vs 64.6%,P=0.045).The recurrence and metastasis rate within 2 years and brain metastasis rate in triple-negative group were higher than those in HER-2-overexpressed group (25.3%,8.0%vs 8.8%,2.2%,respectively,P<0.05).The 5-year disease-free survival rate in triple-negative group was significantly lower than that in HER-2-overexpressed group(55.6%vs 69.8%,P=0.041).There was no statistical difference between the 2 groups in terms of age,menopausal status,tumor size,pathological stage,surgcal procedure,pathological type,adjuvant radio-chemotherapy,the proportion of metastasis to liver,lung and bone as well as overall survival rate(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared to HER-2-overexpressed group,patients with triple-negative breast cancer show higher rate of familial history of malignancy,and they are associated with higher histological grade and poor prognosis.
