Fourteen cases of pheochromocytoma diagnosed by B-tnode ultrasound were reported. All of them the diagnoses were confirmed by operation and pathology. Three tumors crose in right and 5 in left and 4 in bilateral adrenal glands; two were extraadrenal. The ultrasonographic features of pheochromocytoma and its differential diagnosis were discussed. The ultrasonic diagnosis of extra-adrenal pheochromocytoma is objectively assessed; it has significant importance especially in the surgical resection of the tumor.

Objective To explore the reasons and the treatment counter-measures for secondary intracranial hemorrhage happens in the intracranial tumor craniotomy. Methods Retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 15 patients with intracranial tumor who suffered secondary intracranial hemorrhage intraoperation. Summarized the tumor characteristics and the situation of corresponding vessels confined by second operation. Results In these 15 cases,the rank of course of disease was 6.5 months to 2 years, mean 1.2 years. The size of the tumor was big with diameter 4.62 ～5. 82cm,mean 5. 12cm,and the tumor was deep surrounding by large range edema,which led to intracranial hypertension. The emissary vein,bridging vein and cortical draining vein were considered as the corresponding vessels for ' secondary intracranial hemorrhage during the second operation carried out for all 15 cases. There wsa no death cases in this research and all patients recovered the nomal ability for self-caring after 3 months following up. Conclusion Sudden drawdown of intracranial pressure and perfusion pressure breakthrough of local vessels had relationship with secondary intracranial hemorrhage during craniotomy for intracranial tumor. Accurate judgement for the occurrence of secondary intracranial hemorrhage intra-operation and quickly taking the effective corresponding measures was the important strategy for prognosis improving for these patients.

Objective To research and develop the mobile platform-oriented echocardiogram data visualization technology for the evaluation of left ventricular diastolic function,and investigate its application value.Methods First,diagnostic algorithms for the evaluation of left ventricular diastolic function (based on recommendations from ASE & EAE guidelines) were programmed into a mobile application software package,using Adobe Flex builder 4.0 as a basic tool for data visualization.Second,the program was installed in the Apple iPad4 tablet computer,then debugged and improved according to feedback information from practical applications.Results The echocardiogram data visualization for the estimation of left ventricular filling pressures in patients with depressed ejection fraction(EF) or normal EF and grading diastolic function can be implemented in mobile platform device,and simultaneously with emergency bedside echocardiography.The evaluation process can be visually presented by using the graphics to show the algorithm framework,the animation to express the analysis step,the axis to indicate the direction of information,and the color to differentiate the degree of the diastolic dysfunction.Conclusions The mobile platform-oriented echocardiogram data visualization technology makes the evaluation of left ventricular diastolic function more convenient,efficient and fast,and shows its potential to become an important adjunct to evaluation of cardiac function in the context of mobile health.

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of acupuncture based on syndrome differentiation for functional dyspepsia (FD), and to explore the plausible action mechanism.Method Seventy-two eligible FD patients were randomized into a treatment group (36 cases) and a control group (36 cases). In the treatment group, the FD patients were divided into four types, liver-qi stagnation, spleen-stomach qi-deficiency, liver-qi affecting stomach, damp-heat accumulated in stomach, to receive acupuncture at the corresponding points based on syndrome differentiation in addition to the basic points including Zhongwan (CV12), Tianshu (ST25), Zusanli (ST36), and Neiguan (PC6); the control group was given Itopride hydrochloride tablets. Before and after intervention, the symptomatic efficacy index and the MOS 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36), as well as serum Gastrin (GAS) content were observed in the two groups.Result The total effective rate was 94.1% in the treatment group, significantly higher than 63.9% in the control group (P＜0.01); after intervention, the improvement of symptomatic efficacy index in the treatment group was markedly better than that in the control group (P＜0.01); the improvements of the SF-36 component scores in the treatment group were markedly higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture based on syndrome differentiation can obviously improve the symptoms of FD patients, gastrointestinal function, and the quality of life, which is possibly realized by regulating serum GAS, and thus this treatment protocol is proper to be the optimal protocol in clinic for FD.

Objective To explore hematoma piercing attract joint hematoma clearance to bone valves decompression technique in hematoma volume,skull,pressure high blood pressure brain hemorrhage treatment,and to further explore hypertension brain hemorrhage of reasonable surgery. Methods Hematoma in relatively large quantities of high intracranial pressure in hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage patients were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,and patients in the experimental group were implemented early hematoma puncture to attract a joint hematoma decompressive craniectomy treatment,and the control group were implemented the traditional hematoma de-compressive craniectomy treatment. The prognosis of the two groups were compared. Results The two groups were followed up for 6 months,and evaluated by ADL grade,between the two groups was statistically significant difference in ADL classification( P<0.01). Conclusion In the hematoma volume larger, high intracranial pressure in hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage in the surgical treatment of patients,the early line to attract a joint hematoma puncture decompressive craniectomy was a reasonable and feasible surgical method which can improve these patients prognosis.

Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) on the expression of NF-?B in cerebral ischemia area of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion rats and the neuron apoptosis in cortex by EA on shuigou and neiguan (left) point, and study the protective effect and its mechanism of EA on the cerebral ischemia. Method Cerebral ischemia reperfusion model was established by occlusion of the middle cerebral artery for 30 min and then removal, then EA shuigou and neiguan left points of experimental rats. Neuronal apoptosis in cortex was observed by the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP-biotin nick end labeling (TUNEL), NF-?B protein in the ischemia cortex was detected by immunohistochemistry. Result The neuronal apoptosis and the expression of NF-?B protein in the ischemia cortex was deteded of ischemia side of EA treatment groups were lower comparing with model group. Conclusion EA can lighten the neurons injury after cerebral ischemia-reperfusion by decreasing the expression of NF-?B protein and the neuronal apoptosis in the ischemia cortex.

OBJECTIVE: To establish an animal model of alcoholic fatty liver (AFL) and to observe the prevention and treatment with New Qinggan Decoction (NQGD). METHODS: Female SD rats were exposed to the mixture of white spirit and corn oil continuously for up to 6 weeks via an intragastric feeding protocol. The pathologic alteration of the liver and the changes of serum lipid were observed, and the effect of NQGD for preventing and treating AFL was studied. RESULTS: Wide hepatic steatosis was induced in model group rats. Serum triglyceride (TG) and total cholesterol (TC) of the model group were higher than those of the normal group (P<0.01). Serum aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) of the model group were higher than those of the normal group (P<0.05). In NQGD group, hepatic steatosis was milder than that in the model group, and serum TG, TC, AST, ALT descended significantly as compared with the model group (P<0.01). CONCLUSION: AFL model of rats established by feeding the mixture of white spirit and corn oil is similar to the episode of the human AFL, and is easy to intervene with medicine. NQGD can prevent the occurrence of AFL in this model.

Objective:To study the protective and therapeutic effects of Zengshengxiao Capsules (ZSX) on atrophic gastritis in rats. Methods: The model was established by methods of active immunity and gastrogavage with bile and hot water. The method of acetic acid writhing was used. Results: (ZSX) had actions of promoting the blood flow of gastric mucosa, increasing in pH, inhibiting inflammatory cell infiltration, glandular atrophia and atypical hyperplasia. It also had action of alleviating pain. There were no toxic and side effects. Conclusion: (ZSX) had remarkably preventive and therapeutic effects on atrophic gastritis of rats.

Objective To discuss the diagnosis and treatment of superior sagittal sinus thrombosis.Methods The early diagnosis and treatment of superior sagittal sinus thrombosis was induced and summarizd,7 cases in our hospital treated from 2005.6 to 2008.9.were analyzed.Results In this investigation,3 cases were puerperal women,and the other 4 had no special medical history.Brain edema of difference degree was found in all cases on CT scans,including sulcus (7 cases),compression of cistern(5 cases) or even disappeared of cistern(2 cases).CT scanning also revealed dense triangle in 2 cases,multiple small encephalomalacia focus of frontal lobe lesions in 3 cases,and sub-arachnoid hemorrhage(SAH) in 2 cases.The digital subtraction angio-grapby(DSA) also was underwent,of 2 superior sagittal sinus not seen,of 4 appear unevenness,of 7 Arterio-venous circulation delayed and of 5 collateral circulation vasodilatation.After treatment,the clinical symptoms and signs of all patients were improved.All of them could be self-supporting.Followed up for 3 years,the mortality was 0,and no one cerebral hemorrhage again.Conclusion The early diagnosis and treatment of superior sagittal sinus thrombosis could reduce the morbidity and mortality, also could improve prognosis.Especially for the one without cerebral hemorrhage,using heparin at the beginning was an effective and safe way.

BACKGROUND:Liquid chip techniques (Luminex) is a recently rising method for detecting anti-panel reactive antibody, which is characterized by high sensitivity, and strong specificity, less interference and high flux.
OBJECTIVE:To compare the sensitivity and detection difference of panel reactive antibody in serum of kidney disease patients detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and Luminex.
METHODS:Serum samples of 280 patients with kidney disease were selected. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and Luminex methods were used to measure positive rate of panel reactive antibody. Chi-square test for fourfold table data was utilized for statistical analysis.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The positive rates of panel reactive antibody were respectively 18.9%and 33.6%as detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and Luminex method. The positive rates of anti-HLA-I antibody and anti-HLA-II antibody were respectively 12.8%and 12.5%, as detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The positive rates of anti-HLA-I antibody and anti-HLA-II antibody were respectively 25.0%and 20.7%, as detected by Luminex method. Positive detection rate was significantly higher in the Luminex group than that in the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay group. Moreover, Luminex method could precisely detect the low-concentration antibody. Chi-square test for fourfold table data showed P<0.01. Significant differences in the differences of panel reactive antibody of kidney disease patients were detected between the two methods. Results demonstrated that compared with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, Luminex method is more sensitive and accurate, and more suitable for clinical detection.
