[Objective]To review the treating effect of cases of the developmental dysplasia of the hip in old age children by a one-stage combined Pemberton operation and femoral shortening and investgate if the hip joint stiffness rate and ischemic necrosis rate of femoral head after operation are reduced. [Method]From June 2002 to Decempber 2006, 136 hip congenital dislocation of 101 old age children (7 years to 14 years) were treated by Pemberton operation and femoral shortening, and were followed-up from 1.5 years to 4 years(average, 2 years and 7 months).[Result]Thirty-one cases can only bend their hip joint below 90 degrees, accounting for 22.79% of all. Thirty-eight ischemic necrosis of femoral head occurred which accounted for 27.94%.The rate of ischemic necrosis of the femoral head and hip joint stiffness of old age children after operation were reduced obviously according to the standard by Salter.[Conclusion]Pemberton operation and femoral shortening are preferred in treating the developmental dysplasia of the hip of old age children. It can reduce the rate of ischemic necrosis of femoral head and hip joint stiffness.

Total knee arthroplasty is an important means of knee joint terminal disease , however , it has not been fully ob-served that there exists hidden blood loss in perioperative period , which greatly affects the function of patients with postoperative reha-bilitation exercise , increases the length of hospital stay , and increases the hospitalization expense .There is an urgent demand to im-prove patient satisfaction recovery .To avoid the perioperative blood loss that brings patients the adverse effects on postoperative rehabil -itation, we systemically reviewed the reviews of hidden blood loss after total knee replacement and analyzed the mechanism of hidden blood loss and its influencing factors .

Objective:To compare the titanium-porcelain bonding strength between CAD/CAM and cast pure titanium. Methods:Pure titanium samples were prepaired by CAD/CAMand casting respectively and fused with porcelain. The bond strength between tita-nium and porcelain of the samples was measured with three-point test. The titanium-porcelain interface was investigated under scanning electronic microscope(SEM).Results:The bond strength of CAD/CAMpure titanium to porcelain was (35.95 ±3.74)MPa and cast pure titanium to porcelain was (28.37 ±1 .98)MPa(P <0.05).SEMobservation showed that there was thin transition layer between titanium substrate and ceramic in CAD/CAM bond interface, titanium and porcelain combined closely,no obvious pores. However, there was thicker transition layer and small pore in cast pure titanium to porcelain bonding interface. Conclusion:The bonding strength of porcelain to CAD/CAMpure titanium is greater than that of porcelain to casting pure titanium.

Objective:To explore the influence of the veneering porcelain thickness on the compressive strength of zirconia all-ceramic crown.Methods:25 zirconia basement crowns with the thickness of 0.5 mm were made by CAD-CAMsystem,and then were divided into 5 groups randomly with the veneering porcelain thickness of 0.5(A),1.0(B),1.5(C),2.0(D)and 2.5 mm(E)respectively. The compressive strength of the samples was measured by a testing machine.Statistical analysis was conducted by SPSS13.0 software. The microstructure of the fractured bonding interface of the specimens was observed by scanning electron microscope(SEM).Results:The compressive strength in group A,B,C,D and E were:(1 279.96 ±42.85)N,(2 235.44 ±50.14)N,(2 216.38 ±48.97)N, (2 169.22 ±60.40)N and (2 028.70 ±47.37)N respectively(A or E vs B,C or D,P <0.01;A vs E,P <0.01;B vs C or D,P >0.05;C vs D,P >0.05).SEMobservation found that in group A and E the bonding interface was uneven and loose, the cracks and spores in veneering porcelain appeared more and larger, and had a more intensive distribution. Conclusion:When the veneering porce-lain is too thick or too thin, the compressive strength of zirconia all-ceramic crown decreases, the thickness of the veneering porcelain should be controled in an appropriate range.

Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(05):-
Chinese materia medica (CMM) plays an important role both in the disease prevention and therapy system and also in natural drug screening. Biotechnology exhibits applicable prospects in modern research of CMM with progress of natural science and technologies. Amplification fragment length polymorphism (AFLP), restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP), random amplification polymorphism of DNA (RAPD), and microsatellite DNA have been used to discriminate and breed herbal varieties. Genetic transformation and techniques of tissue and cell culture are explored to protect herbal resouces and to produce active components or parts on a commercial scale. High throughput technologies of proteome and biochip are expected to probe molecular targets and routes of CMM with the changes of proteome and gene expression. The results can be helpful to novel drug development and secondary exploitation, so as to promote the modernization process of CMM.

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2008;16(7):516-518
Objective:To explore the incidenee of early hematoma growth in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage, and the correlation between early hematoma growth and early neurological deterioration. Methods:The evaluation of nervous system and CT scan in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage within 3 hours after the omet of symptoms were performed respectively at baseline, and 1,2,3,and 20 hours after the baseline. Results:In 106 patients,CT scan shelwed that the volume of intraparenehymal hemorrhage inereased significantly in 26% of patients at baseline and within 1 hour.CT scan showed that the bleeding volume increased in 12% of patients at 1,2,3,and 20 hours.By measuring baseline,1-hour Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS)score, and the changes of the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS),it had found that the baseline status and the increased bleeding volume within 1 hour vdgre closely correlated with the clinical neurological deterioration. Conclusions:The early bleeding volume often inereases significantly in patiems with intracerebral hemorrhage, which is complicated with neurological deterioration. In order to determine whether these therapeutic measures improve the natural course of this early hematoma growth and decrease its occurrence,it is necessary to make a randomized clinical trial.

Objective To investigate the sonographic diagnostic value of poorly differentiated thyroid carcinoma and anaplastic thyroid carcinoma. Methods Ultrasonography of 22 cases with differentiated thyroid carcinoma and anaplastic thyroid carcinoma were observed with color doppler sonography. The shape, size, echo, boundary, microcalcifieation foci and blood stream distribution were studied, and contrasted with pathological diagnosis after operation.Lymphnode in cervical part and sulcus esophagus were examined. The characters of thyropathy according to the above sonographie features were judged. Results 16uhrasonography or before operation and biopsy,in which 9 were left,7 were right.6 cases were in both leaves.Ultrasound showed that 2 cases were poody differentiated thyroid carcinoma, 1 case was parathyroid carcinoma. 1 case was Hashimoto's thyroditis, and remainders were thyroid carcinoma. Conclusion Ultrasonography could enhance the detection rates and diagnose accordance rates of poorly differentiated thyroid carcinoma and anaplastic thyroid carcinoma.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of minimally invasive drairage of hematoma in treatment of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage. Methods 60 patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage were randomly divided into two groups, including the observation group of minimally invasive hematoma drainage, the control group 30 cases, a small bone window intracranial hematoma, observe and compare the two groups of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage the neurological function recovery. Results The operative time was significantly shorter than that used in the control group. Postoperative mortality, the difference was significant (P
