Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2013;48(5):661-7
Ebosin is a novel exopolysaccharide produced by Streptomyces sp.139 with remarkable activity against rheumatic arthritis in vivo. In this paper, we reported effects of Ebosin on the inflammatory cytokines including interleukin-1beta (IL-1beta), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFalpha) in THP-1 cells. With the special fluorogenic peptide as substrates, the enzymatic activities of interleukin-1beta converting enzyme (ICE) and TNFalpha-converting enzyme (TACE) were inhibited by Ebosin separately. Using the real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (real-time PCR), the mRNA synthesis of the three cytokines were identified decline separately by Ebosin. The secretion quantum of three cytokines in THP-1 cells with Ebosin was lower than that of normal THP-1 cells determined by ELISA assay and Western blotting. All of these results showed that Ebosin has remarkably suppressed synthesis of the three cytokines in THP-1 cells through different pathways. The primary study of Ebosin on anti-inflammation mechanism was promoted developing the new drugs treating rheumatic arthritis.

Objective To understand willingness of current medical undergraduates to work at community health-care service(CHS)institutions after their graduation to provides information for professional training for them. Methods Totally,2714 medical undergraduate students were recruited from three medical schools in east, middle and west China by multi-level sampling methods for questionnaire survey on their basic information and willingness to be employed at CHS institutions.results of the survey were described by relative numeric and tested by chi-square test for smtistical inference. Results About 60.6%of medical undergraduate students were willing to work at CHS organizations permanently or temporarily.Their willingness to work there differed with their native living areas and grades they were studying significantly(P<0.01).Reason for those they would work at CHS organizations after graduation included work less stress and easier, and that for those reluctant to work there included low-income and lack of social respect for general practitioners. Conclusions Nowadays, few medical undergraduate students would like to work at CHS organizations after their graduation, which was influenced mainly by traditional ideas and concepts of employment, personal career devdopment, economic income, and so on.It is suggested that ideas of community work be strengthened for medical undergraduate students and their employment concepts be changed in the future.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2004;0(01):-
Objective:To summarize the influencing factors and the preventative strategies of transurethral resection syndrome(TURS) in transurethral vaporization of the prostate(TVP). Methods:Among the consecutive 1360 patients who underwent TVP from Feb 1998 to 2004 Dec,using Circon vaporization device and vaporizaton-resection electrode, irrigating with 5% GS,TURS occured in 12 cases. The clinical materials were reviewed retrospectively. Results:At the end of operation, serum sodium declined and blood glucose rose apparently in the TURS cases.Of the 12 patients, mean operative time was 136 min(90-180min),prostate volume were Ⅲ?(50-75 g),perforation of the prostate capsule occurred in 8 cases, chill occued in 8 cases.TURS occurrence rate was relatively high in the high risk cases. The 12 patients were cured. Conclusion:The risk of TURS that still exists during TVP is relevant to: perforation of the prostate capsule, operative time, irrigating pressure, the high risk cases, prostate volume and(so on.)

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(09):-
Aim To investigate the effects of heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) on brain damage due to cerebral ischemia/reperfusion.Methods 120 male mice were divided into four groups randomly and the cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(I/R) model was established through drawing out and reperfusing 40% of the whole blood volume in combination with clamping the carotid arteries for 20 min after anesthesia with 40 g?L-1chloral hydrate(400 mg?kg-1 ip).The mice were intracerebraventricularly(icv) injected with 3(l of150 ?mol?L-1 hemin,150 ?mol?L-1 ZnPPIX,or artificial cerebrospinal fluid(ACSF),respectively 16 h before the model established.Sham operation group only received anesthesia and operation without I/R and icv injection. The hippocampal HO activity and cerebral cortex xanthine oxidase(XO) activity, the levels of malonaldehyde(MDA) and reactive oxygen species(ROS),hippocampal neuron apoptosis, and hippocampal HO-1 expression were determined by spectrophotometer,TUNEL method, and Western blot, respectively. Results The increased hippocampal HO-1 expression and HO activity, decreased XO activity,MDA and ROS levels, and diminished hippocampal apoptosis were observed in the hemin group, compared with ACSF group(P0.05),but inhibited the activity of HO with the elevation of XO activity,MDA and ROS levels,as well as cellular apoptosis(vs ACSF,P

OBJECTIVE:To improve the information system of Out-patient pharmacy intravenous admixture center (OUIVA) to improve the pharmaceutical service rendered to the transfusion patient and ensure the safety of drug use. METHODS:The defi-ciency in OUIVA information system of our hospital were analyzed,in which improvement was made with respect to ungrouped doctor’s orders, inconsistency between the total doses charged and the prescribed doses and the error of transfusion days that occurred fre-quently. The conformity rate of out-patient fluid transfusion prescriptions and the time of patients’waiting for transfusion before and after the improvement were compared and evaluated. RESULTS:Improvement was made to OUIVA information system through the optimization of transfusion process, the application of condition limit, the adding of logical operation and verification and the other measures. After improvement, the unconformity rate of out-patient prescriptions in our hospital descended from 11.24% in 2013 to 3.69% in 2014,with an obvious increase in the accuracy rate of dispensing for fluid transfusion;and the time of patients’waiting for transfusion was shortened from 30-40 min to 15-20 min, with an increase in the degree of satisfaction of transfusion patients. CONCLUSIONS:The OUIVA information system can reduce the errors of drug dispensing for fluid transfusion and improve pharmaceutical services.
