Ebosin is a novel exopolysaccharide produced by Streptomyces sp.139 with remarkable activity against rheumatic arthritis in vivo. In this paper, we reported effects of Ebosin on the inflammatory cytokines including interleukin-1beta (IL-1beta), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFalpha) in THP-1 cells. With the special fluorogenic peptide as substrates, the enzymatic activities of interleukin-1beta converting enzyme (ICE) and TNFalpha-converting enzyme (TACE) were inhibited by Ebosin separately. Using the real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (real-time PCR), the mRNA synthesis of the three cytokines were identified decline separately by Ebosin. The secretion quantum of three cytokines in THP-1 cells with Ebosin was lower than that of normal THP-1 cells determined by ELISA assay and Western blotting. All of these results showed that Ebosin has remarkably suppressed synthesis of the three cytokines in THP-1 cells through different pathways. The primary study of Ebosin on anti-inflammation mechanism was promoted developing the new drugs treating rheumatic arthritis.

Objective To investigate the value of MRI diagnosis in tangential osteochondral fracture.Methods 1 7 patients with tangential osteochondral fracture were examined by MRI,and the related signs were analyzed,including the subluxation or disloca-tion of patellofemoral joint,the injury or fracture of bone and cartilage,the injury of meniscus,the injury of medial patella retinacu-lum and ligament,the effusion articular capsule.we investigated the role of X-ray film,CT,MRI,compared with arthroscopy.Re-sults MRI showed subluxation of patellofemoral joint(Ⅰtype 12 cases、Ⅱtype 3 cases、Ⅲ type 1 case)in 1 6 cases,1 case had mild move of patella.All of 1 7 cases were found fracture in bone or cartilage of the inferior medial part of patella and the anterior lateral part of lateral femoral condyle.All cases were found the injury of medial patella retinaculum(Ⅰtype 7 cases、Ⅱtype 9 cases、Ⅲ type 1 case),3 cases were found the injury of MCL,2 cases were found the injury of ACL.3 cases were found the injury or tear in anteri-or horn of meniscus.1 1 cases were found articular capsule filling with simple effusion,5 cases were found articular capsule filling with hemorrhagic effusion,1 case was found articular capsule filling with hemorrhagic effusion and fat granule.Conclusion MRI can clearly show tangential osteochondral fracture and its accompanying changes:the subluxation or dislocation of patellofemoral joint, the injury or fracture of bone and cartilage,the injury of meniscus,the injury of medial patella retinaculum and other ligament,the articular capsule effusion.

Objective To explore the clinicopathological characteristics in young women with breast cancer.Methods The clinicopathological data of 201 cases of breast cancer with age below 35 years from Apr.1997 to Apr.2010 in Anyang Tumor Hospital were retrospectively analyzed and compared with those of 251 cases of breast cancer patients selected randomly with age more than 60 years during the same period.All these cases had undergone surgical treatment and been confirmed by pathologist.Results In the young group,the percentage of patients with the course of disease less than six months was higher than that of the old-aged group [82.09 ％ (165/201),72.11％ (181/251)] (x2 =6.19,P ＜ 0.05).The incidence of the tumor size ≤ 2 cm in the young group was less than that of the old-aged group [19.90 ％ (40/201),30.28 ％ (76/ 251)] (x2 =6.302,P ＜ 0.05).The incidence rate of metastasis of lymph nodes in the young group was less than that of the old-aged group [63.68 ％ (128/201),54.19 ％ (136/251)] (x2 =4.145,P ＜ 0.05).The incidence rate of stage 0～ Ⅰ in the young group was more than that of the old-aged group [11.94 ％ (24/201),17.53 ％ (44/251)] (x2 =2.729,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The tumor size in the young group is larger than that in the old-aged group,pTNM classification in the young group is later than that in the latter group and the incidence rate of metastasis of lymph nodes in the young group is higher than that in the latter group.In young patients with breast cancer the percentage of tumors with advanced tumor stage and poor prognosis are more than that in elder breast cancer patients.In addition,these young patients have lower awareness to mammary adenocarcinoma.Young ladies should examine breast cancer by themselves and go to hospital for regular inspections in order to discovere,diagnose and treat cancer earlier.

ObjectiveTo compare the CT features of retroperitoneal ganglioneuroblastoma (GNB) and neuroblastoma (NB) in children,and summarize the differentiations between them.Methods From November 2007 to November 2011,19 patients with GNB and 21 patients with NB proven pathologically were enrolled in the study.The CT data of GNB and NB were analyzed retrospectively.These tumor parameters in CT included lesion location,size,shape,margin,calcification,across central line,style of contrast enhancement,degree of contrast enhancement,presence of small vessels in or around the tumor arranged in clumps or in line,tumor embolus,adjacent organs invasion or metastasis,lymph node metastasis,and relationship between tumor and surrounding great vessels.These parameters of both groups were compared by x2 and t test.ResultsIn GNB group,11 patients were located in adrenal gland and 8 patients in the retroperitoneal sympathetic chain; however,in NB group,18 patients were located in adrenal gland and 3 patients in the retroperitoneal sympathetic chain. The difference were statistical significances in the incidence rate of regular morphology,clear border,vessel encased by tumor,vessels displaced,presence of small vessels in /around the tumor arranged in clumps or in line,adjacent organs invasion or viscera metastasis,lymph node metastasis between NB (6/21,7/21,14/21,7/21,11/21,10/21,and 11/21,respectively) and GNB ( 12/19,13/19,6/19,13/19,4/19,3/19 and 4/19,respectively) ( P ＜ 0.05 ).However,there was no statistical significance in size,calcification,across central line,contrast enhancement type,contrast enhancement degree between them ( P ＞ 0.05 ).ConclusionsNB are more likely located at adrenal gland and presented a higher incidence rate of presence of small vessels in or around the tumor which arranged in clumps or in line,vessel encased by tumor,adjacent organs invasion or metastasis and lymph node metastasis.Regular morphology,clear border and vessels displaced are more frequently observed in GNB.

OBJECTIVE： To observe the therapeutic effects of 0.3％ levofloxacin eyedrops on the acute bacterial conjunctivitis and keratitis.METHODS： The patients were randomly divided into treated group and control group.They were given 0.3％ levofloxacin and 0.3％ ofloxacin eyedrops respectively.The effects were compared between two groups.RESULTS： From April 1998 to December 1998， 132 cases were enrolled in the study： treated group 67 cases， control group 65 cases.The positive rates of bacterial culture were over 80％ in both groups.It showed that there was no significant difference between two eyedrops in the curative and effective rates， but the mean cure day of keratitis in levofloxacin group was significantly shorter than that in ofloxacin group.CONCLUSION： Levofloxacin eyedrops is effective and safe in treating bacterial conjunctivitis and keratitis， and the therapeutic course is short and no obvious ARDs occur.

Objective To study the signal transduction pathway for myocyte contraction induced by Substance K (SK) in rats. Methods The fluorescent Ca 2+ indicator Fluo 3AM was used to quantitate the calcium signal directly in the primary cultured myocardial cells. Changes of free Ca 2+ concentration in cardiac myocytes were detected by flow cytometry. The phospholipase C (PLC) inhibitor, neomycin and IP3 receptor antagonist, heparin, were used to block signal system of phosphates Ca 2+ in order to investigate whether they took part in the SK induced changes of [Ca 2+ ]i in myocytes. Results SK(1.78?10 -5 mol/L) elevated [Ca 2+ ]i in myocytes. The effects could be blocked by neomycin and heparin. Conclusion SK can elevate [Ca 2+ ]i in myocyte, which may be mediated by a signal system of phosphates Ca 2+ .

Objective To compare the value of intrarectal filling with water and filling in rubber sheath with water in endoluminal uhrasonography for preoperative staging of rectal tumors. Methods 215 cases of rectal tumors were divided into two groups. 120 cases using the method of filling in rubber sheath with water and 95 cases using intrarectal filling with water were diagnosed with uhrasonography. The results were compared with corresponding pathologic results for the judgment of their accuracy. Results The accuracy for the diagnosis of infiltration depth was 60.0 % in the first group and was 73.7 % in the second. The difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The accuracy for diagnosis of metastases of perirectal lymph nodes was 82.5 % in the first group and was 80.0 % in the second. The difference has no statistical significance (P >0.50). Conclusion Intrarectai filling with water is better than filling in rubber sheath with water in the diagnosis of infiltration depth of rectal tumors, while there is no difference in the diagnosis of metastasis of perirectal lymph nodes.
