Objective To explore the expression of drug transporter organic anion transporting polypeptide2(Oatp2) and P-glycoprotein(P-gp) in brains of chronic epileptic rats induced by lithium-pilocarpine.Methods Chronic epilepsy modles were elicited after status epilepticus(SE) induced by lithium-pilocarpine in adult Wistar rats.The expressions of Oatp2 and P-gp were detected by immuno-histochemistry(SABC) method.Results Positive expression of Oatp2 was predominantly in the plexus epithelial cells and(blood-brain) barrier endothelial cells.Weak staining for Oatp2 was also detected in the neurocyte.In contrast,apparent expression of(P-gp) was seen in brain capillary and neurocyte only.Compared with normal control rats,expression of Oatp2 on the plexus epithelial cells and brain capillary in chronic epileptic rats was significantly decreased(P

Objective To investigate the effects of electro-acupuncture (EA) on remyelination after sciatic nerve was transected in rats, so as to explore the possible mechanism of EA in treatment of peripheral nerve injury. Methods After transection of rat's sciatic nerve, the nerve regeneration chamber was built,then the rats were given EA stimulation at frequencies of 5 Hz and 100 Hz, respectively, and Solochrome Cyanine staining, HE staining of nerve fibers, immunohistochemical staining and semi-quantitative image analysis technique were employed to observe the remyelination of the nerve fibers and S-100 protein expression of Schwann cells. Results EA could significantly promote remyelination of the nerve fibers, elevate S-100 protein expression of Schwann Cells in repairing process of transected sciatic nerve of rats. The therapeutic effect of 5 Hz EA group was better than that of 100 Hz EA group. Conclusion EA is an effective way for the treatment of peripheral nerve injury. It can promote proliferation of Schwann cells and nerve fiber myelination. The therapeutic effects of EA are frequency-depondent.

Objective To study the value of color Doppler ultrasound in diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) of lower extremity and pulmonary embolism (PE) in spinal cord injury (SCI). Methods 60 PE patients (PE group) and 35 SCI patients without PE (control group) received color Doppler ultrasound examination for DVT of lower extremity. Results PE group included 36 SCI patients (PE-SCI group) and 24 no-SCI patients (PE-no-SCI group). There were 15 cases with lower extremity thrombosis in PE-SCI group, and 9 cases in PE-no-SCI group (P>0.05), while there were 5 cases in the control group. There was significantly different in lower extremity thrombosis between PE group and the control group (P<0.01). In PE group, the detection rate was not significantly different between acute PE (detected 11 cases out of 37 cases) and chronic PE (detected 10 cases out of 23 cases) (P>0.05). 31 cases were rechecked as lower extremity venous valve regurgitation and calf muscle vein dilation (51.7%) in PE group while 8 cases in the control group (22.9%) (P<0.01). Conclusion There is not significantly different in the detection rate of DVT of lower extremity in PE patients with and without spinal cord injury, which are higher than in the patients without PE. Color Doppler ultrasound is necessary to check DVT in acute and chronic PE patients.

Objective To explore the electrode fixing method in children long-term electroencephalography and to improve the traditional method by combining with the pediatric characteristics and by means of clinical practice .Methods The pediatric subjects were given the appropriate preinstallation preparation ,then the double-layer elastic bandage combined with adhesive tape fixing method was adopted to fix the electrodes .Results The new method was generally accepted by children subjects ,the electrodes were easily to be installed and demounted without toxicity and residue ,the record diagram was better in quality .Conclusion Compared with the traditional method ,the improved electrode fixing method has the advantages of simplicity ,rapidness ,safety ,stability and humanization ,and is worth popularizing .

Objective To investigate the effect of nicergoline on cognitive ability and executive function for patients with vascular cognitive impairment without dementia (VCIND).Methods Totally 68 patients with VCIND were divided into conventional treatment group (33 cases) and nicergoline treatment group (35 cases,nicergoline 10 mg,tid added on basal conventional treatment).All of cases were continuously treated for 12 weeks.Cognitive ability and executive function before and after treatments were evaluated.Results Test scores of immediate free recall of a list of words,the numbers and symbols transformation,the word fluency,clocks and watches painting,and minimental state examination (MMSE) were significantly higher in nicergoline treatment group than in conventional treatment group (P＜0.05).Conclusions Nicergoline may improve attention and memory as well as cognitive ability in patients with vascular cognitive impairment without dementia.

Objectives To explore the long-term prognosis, treatment (especially dietary treatment) of classic maple syrup urine disease. Methods The complications and dietary treatment were observed by follow-up study of a classic MSUD patient. Results The patient have obvious damage in nervous system. However, reasonable dietary leucine tolerance therapy after the neonatal period can effectively reduce the metabolic crisis and complications. A mutation in BCKDHB gene was detected in the patient by genetic testing. Conclusion It is suggested that dietary restriction and monitoring of branched-chain amino acids are helpful to reduce the development of acute metabolic crisis and complications and improve the quality of life.

Objective To explore an assessment questionnaire for assessing caregiving knowledge of primary caregivers in children with nephrotic syndrome. Methods Delphi method was used to review the literature. Ten primary caregivers of children with nephrotic syndrome were interviewed and five medical, nursing experts were pre-surveyed to form an expert consultation questionnaire. Sixteen experts from some provinces were selected to carry out two rounds expert consultation. To screen the dimensions, factors, entries of the questionnaire and to analyze the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. Results The positive coefficient was 100%, the expert authority coefficient was 0.95 and the expert co-ordination coefficient W test was P<0.05 of the two rounds expert consultation. The questionnaire data included 6 dimensions, 26 factors, 106 items. The basic knowledge of disease, diet knowledge, medication knowledge, personal hygiene and infection prevention, activity and rest, home care constitute the dimensions. The Cronbach α coefficient was 0.872, the test-retest reliability was 0.823, the split-half reliability was 0.855, and the average overall validity index of the questionnaire was 0.948. Six common factors were extracted for exploratory factor analysis and the cumulative variance contribution> 65.633%. Conclusions The questionnaire of caregiving knowledge of primary caregivers of children with nephrotic syndrome developed by Delphi method has high reliability. The questionnaire is of practical significance for evaluating the care of primary caregivers of children with nephrotic syndrome.

Objective To know the air supply quality of central air-conditioning ventilation system in building before and after cleaning.Methods Three sets of central air-conditioning ventilation systems were selected from a building randomly and 3 air supply ways were selected in each system for the determination of inhalable particulate matter(PM10) and microorganisms in air before and after cleaning.Results After cleaning,the unqualified rate of air quality increased from 11.1%(before cleaning) to 77.8%.The mean value of PM10 increased from 0.051 mg/m3(before cleaning) to 0.083 mg/m3,the median of total account of bacteria and fungus increased from 150 cfu/m3 and 13 cfu/m2(before cleaning) to 570 cfu/m3 and 110 cfu/m3 respectively.Conclusion The air supply quality of central air-conditioning ventilation system in building may be damaged by cleaning if the operation is not in the right way.
