Objective To investigate the effects of Pravastatin on serum oxidative modified LDL (ox-LDL), tumor growth factor ?1 (TGF-?1), vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) and lipid levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods 114 cases with ACI were randomly divided into two therapy groups: (1) 56 cases were given Pravastatin combined with Aspirin;(2) 58 cases were treated with Aspirin only. The serum levels of ox-LDL, TGF-?1, VCAM-1 and lipid were detected 72 h after the onset of the disease and 3 months following the treatment. Meanwhile, the same were detected in the control group (50 healthy people). Objective To observe the effects of the compatibility of Radix Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis in different proportion on hemodynamic and balance of Th1/Th2 cells of Qi deficiency and blood stasis rat model. Methods Qi deficiency and blood stasis rats were caused by restricted diet, forced swimming and norepinephrine subcutaneous injecting, and treated by compatibility of Radix Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis in different proportion of 5∶1, 3∶1, 1∶1 and 1∶2 for 21 days. The indexes of hemorheology were detected with hemorheological analyser, and the level of IFN-γand IL-4 in serum were tested by ELISA. Results Compared with model group, the compatibility of Radix Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis in proportion of 1∶1, 3∶1 and 5∶1 groups reduced the low shear blood viscosity. The spleen index of model group decreased, and compatibility of Radix Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis in 5∶1 proportion group increased spleen index. The level of IL-4 increased and IFN-γ decreased in the serum of model group, the compatibility of Radix Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis in proportion of 3∶1 group increased the level of IFN-γ. Astragalus angelica 5∶1 group decreased the level of IL-4 and increased the level of IFN-γ. Conclusion The compatibility of Radix Astragali and Radix Angelicae Sinensis can improve hemorheology, adjust the balance of Th1/Th2 cells of Qi deficiency and blood stasis rats. The effects were better when Radix Astragali’s dosage greater than that of Radix Angelicae Sinensis, and the group of 5∶1 proportion was the best.

OBJECTIVE To discuss the antibiotic resistance situation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and provide basis for therapy and control of the nosocomical infection. METHODS Fourteen strains of P.aeruginosa which derived from 60 and more years aged patients in intensive care unit(ICU) were analyzed by conventional chemistry test,PCR inspection,antimicrobial susceptibility test,plasmid pattern analysis and enterobacterial repetitive intergenic consensus(ERIC)-PCR polymorphism analysis. RESULTS Fourteen strains had the same chemistry traits,many strains appeared multi-antibiotic resistance,10 strains had a plasmid of 23kb or so without obvious association with(multi-antibiotic) resistance,14 strains were divided into three clusters by ERIC-PCR technique and their banding pattern cluster analysis,their similarity coefficients were from 0.62 to 0.86. CONCLUSIONS Nosocomial infection of P.aeruginosa which screened from aged patients in ICU has taken on sporadic state;ERIC-PCR fingerprinting technique genotyping method has high discrimination,and good reproducibility and give faster genotyping result with less hands-on time,which serves as nosocomial infection epidemiologic surveillances of P.aeruginosa.

Objective: In this paper the pharmacodynamical mechanism of Heat Asthma Formula(HAF)(Herba Ephedrae, Rhizoma pinelliae, Flos Lonicerae, etc) in the treatment of bronchial asthma was discussed. Methods: By means of the radio labelled aglycone, applying phlogistic medium TXB2, ? receptor on bronchus and cyclic nucleotide (cAMP/cGMP) in lung tissue used as observed targets. Results: The results showed HAF could inhibit the release of phlogistic medium TXB2, improve the conjugate rate of ? receptor, adjust the proportion between cAMP and cGMP. Conclusion: The treatment on bronchial asthma of “Heat Asthma Formula” was perhaps concerned with above mentioned contents.

Objective To explore the role of CD 30 on CD4 + T lymphocyte and T lymphocyte subset activation in asthma pathogenesis.Methods Twenty seven asthma active attack patients,16 acute upper respiratory infection patients and 19 control children were randomly selected. Direct immunofluorescence flow cytometry was used to detect the CD 30 positive percentage on CD4 +cell; ELISA was used to detect the levels of interleukin(IL) 4 and IL 13 in culture supernatants of peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC) and plasma total immunoglobulin E(IgE) level.Results Compared with control group and acute upper respiratory infection group, in asthmatic children the CD4 +CD 30 + percentage on CD4 + cell was elevated significantly; 2.The levels of IL 4 and IL 13 in supernatants of cultured lymphocyte were increased significantly, the plasma total IgE level was increased significantly;3.There was a significant positive correlation of CD4 +CD 30 + cell percentage with the levels of IL 4 and IL 13 in culture supernatants and plasma total IgE.Conclusions The cell that could produce Th2 derived cytokine may consist of CD 30 +cell;When CD 30 L combined with CD 30 on CD4 + cells ,it might result in Th2 cell proliferation ,develop and release Th2 derived cytokine; IL 4 and IL 13 could induce B cell production and secrete more IgE. It is suggested that CD 30 and imbalance of Th2 subset may play an important role in asthma pathogenesis.

Objective To study the effects of rehabilitation(RT)on cardiac function in cerebral infarct (CIF)patients with cardiac insufficiency(CIS).Methods Fifty-nine CIF patients with CIS were randomly divid- ed into a treatment group(T group,n=29)and a control group(n=30),and all patients were treated with routine pharmacotherapy for 2 months.In addition,RT was administrated in the T group at the same time.The grading of the New York Heart Association(NYHA)and the changes in cardiac function associated index were observed in both groups before and after treatment.Results Compared with the control group,NYHA grades,left ventricle ejection fraction(LVEF),the levels of brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)in the blood plasma,and the 6min walking range of the T group patients were all significantly improved after treatment(P＜0.05).Conclusion RT can improve car- diac function in CIF patients with CIS.

Emerging evidence has indicated that circular RNAs (circRNAs) play pivotal roles in the regulation of cellular processes and are found to be aberrantly expressed in a variety of tumors.However,the clinical role of circRNAs in bladder cancer (BC) and the molecular mechanisms have yet to be fully understood.In this study,the clinical specimens were obtained and the expression level of a circRNA BCRC4 was detected by real-time PCR in both BC tissues and cell line.The circular RNA over-expression plasmid was constructed and transfected into BC cells and related cell line.The cell cycles and apoptosis were observed using inverted microscope and flow cytometry.Western blotting was used to compare the relative protein expression of groups with different treatments.It was found that circRNA BCRC4 expression was lower in BC tissues than in adjacent normal tissues.Furthermore,consequences of fomed-expression of BCRC4 promoted apoptosis and inhibited viability of T24T and UMUC3 cells,and up-regulated BCRC4-inereased miR-101 level,which suppressed EZH2 expression in both RNA and protein levels.In addition,gambogic acid (GA) is a promising natural anticancer compound for BC therapy,and GA treatment increased the BCRC4 expression in T24T and UMUC3 cells in a dose-dependent manner.Altogether,our findings suggest that BCRC4 functions as a tumor suppressor in BC,and mediates anticancer function,at least in part,by up-regulating the expression of miR-101.Targeting this newly identified circRNA may help us develop a novel strategy for treating human BC.
