Pharmacometabonomics, as an emerging branch of system biology, has been increasingly used in personalized medicine and showed broad prospects. By means of metabonomics, the complicated and detailed metabolic profile of the patient is described, thus providing more detailed description of the disease phenotype. With this understanding, response of different individuals to the drugs are predicted or evaluated through inherent genetic information of the individual combined with the environmental factors. As a result, appropriate drugs and dosage are chosen, which greatly promotes the realization of the individualized therapy goals. This article describes the emerging field of pharmacometabonomics, and the research results of personalized medicine based on the pharmacometabonomics in recent years are reviewed in detail.

Objective To evaluate the left ventricular(LV) impaired relaxation(IR) by kinetic energy of blood flow in early diastole (Ek) in patients with normal ejection fraction(EF).Methods 42 patients with impaired LV relaxation while normal EF (IR group) and 38 controls volunteers with normal LV relaxation (NR group) underwent conventional echocardiography and real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT-3DE).Pulsed-wave (PW) Doppler imaging and PW tissue Doppler imaging (PWTDI) were performed in all the subjects.PW Doppler imaging indices included peak E velocities (VE),peak A velocities (VA) and VE/VA.PW-TDI indices included velocities of septal and lateral sides of the mitral annulus in early diastole Se',Le'),then the average of Se' and Le' described as e') were calculated.RT3DE indices included end diastolic volume EDV),ejection fraction EF) and flow volume of peak E QE).Results There were significant difference between Ek of two groups P ＜0.05).There were significant positive correlation between Ek and e' in both the two groups P ＜0.05).And Ek was less influenced by age or systolic blood pressure.Area under curve of the ROC of Ek was 0.654,sensitivity was 63.2 ％ and specificity was 61.9％,respectively.And the specificity of Ek was higher than that of e' and VE/VA.Conclusions Ek was less influenced by age or afterload,which can be used to detect impaired LV relaxation.

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of electroacupuncture (EA) plus pricking-cupping bloodletting therapy for herpes zoster.
Methods:A total of 43 patients with herpes zoster were randomly divided into two groups, 23 cases in the treatment group and 20 cases in the control group. The treatment group was given EA plus pricking-cupping bloodletting therapy. The control group was given oral administration of Aciclovir Tablets, Diclofenac Sodium Dual Release Enteric-coated Capsules, Methylcobalamin Dispersible Tablets, and V itamin B12.
Results: The total effective rate was 87.0% in the treatment group and 70.0% in the control group, with a statistical significance in difference of the total effective rate between the two groups (P<0.01).
Conclusion:The clinical effect is better in the treatment of herpes zoster by EA plus pricking-cupping bloodletting therapy than by medications.

Objective To study the expression of NKx2.5 on the heart of offspring during the development of embryo,whose mother is deficient of folic acid.Methods 1.Control group involving 18 rats and study group involving 18 rats were chosen from the total 36 adult female SD rats randomly copulate with the male normal rats after feeding different fodder for 2 weeks.The heart of the 13.5 days,17.5 days embryos and the newborns were obtained;2.the expression of NKx2.5mRNA by RT-PCR was observed;3.the expression of NKx2.5 protein by Western-blotting was investigated.Results 1.The expression of NKx2.5 mRNA of study group was weaker than control group in heart of the 13.5 days,17.5 days embryos and the newborns(P

0.05),but the expression in controls were negative.The expression levels of PRAME gene at remission was decreased obviously,but increased again when the patients relapsed.Conclusions Expression of PRAME gene has a high level in childhood acute leukemia.The dynamic changes are closely related with the prognosis.It can be regarded as a candidate for detecting minimal residual disease in acute leukemia,and may have important implications for estimating the prognosis and guiding the chemical therapy.

Based on the remarkable progress from molecular biology, systems biology focuses its research on investigating the biological systems to form their entirety. Considering the trend of TCM modernization and the coherence on the point of holism between systems biology and TCM, a comprehensive way for the research of TCM modernization was referred, which involves a new concept, componentomics.

Objective To report the clinical effect of primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods A retrospective study was accomplished on the clinical data of 13 AMI patients who underwent PCI from March 2004 to April 2006.Results The infarct-related artery (IRA)was successfully recanalized by primary PCI for 12 AMI patients,without major complications occurred in these cases during hospitalization.Conclusion Primary PCI should be firstly chosen for treatment of AMI in the hospitals which could carry out PCI.
