Objective:To study the master iodine nutrition status of population living in areas with different iodine in drinking water and the cut-off point of stopping iodized salt supply and the range of adequate iodine intake for the strategy of prevention from iodine deficiency or excess. Method:Thirteen townships points along the Yellow River downstream in Shandong were investigated and divided into six groups(A-F) based on water iodine concentrations of 0-50,50-100,100-150,150-300,300-800 and over 800 ?g/L. The indicators of water iodine,edible salt iodine,urinary iodine(UI) and thyroid goiter were observed. Results:From A,B,C,D,E and F group,the medians of water iodine concentration were 20.3,91.4,143.2,203.6,341.9 and 812.3 ?g/L,of edible salt iodine were 0,25.7,25.8,30.4,36.4 and 33.0 mg/kg,and of UI were 116.8,354.2,400.4,607.9,881.3 and 1 213.8 ?g/L respectively. The goiter rates were 10.8,8.6,15.0,14.2,14.9 and 25.0 % respectively . The sample proportion of UI below 100 ?g/L was 8.2%,of 100-300 ?g/L was 18.2% and of over 300 ?g/L was 73.6%. Frequency excursion of UI had a high trend towards water iodine concentration over 90?g/L in 5 groups. The proportion of UI over 300 ?g/L increased,consistent with higher water iodine level. Median UI of all groups with iodized salt decreased significantly,especially group F. There were significant correlations between UI and water iodine. Iodine nutrition status was markedly excessive in group B,C,D,E and F. Conclusions:Iodine nutrition status of most residents consuming drinking water with iodine concentration about 20 ?g/L should be adequately supplied with eligible iodized salt. Iodine intakes in groups B-F were excessive,and iodized salt supply should be stopped there. The cut-point of water iodine level where iodized salt stopped could possibly be 90 ?g/L,and the range of adequate iodine intake,in terms of drinking water,could be defined at range of over 20 to 90 ?g/L in iodine concentration.

Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of vertigo associated with changes of head position.Methods 112 patients of vertigo associated with changes of head position were analyzed from June 2006 to December 2007 through the positional tests and imaging examination.Results 45 men and 67 women from ages 12 to 75 (median 50) were included with a total of 112 patients.88 patients were diagnosed as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(BPPV),76 patients as posterior semicircular canals BPPV,9 patients as horizontal semicircular canal BPPV,3 patients as anterior semicircular canals BPPV,9 patients as suspicious BPPV.They were treated by canalith repositioning procedure,the total improvement rate was 96.9% after 1 week.15 cases of cervical vertigo were treated by physical therapy and medication,the vertigo of 4 patients disappeared and of 11 patients was improved significantly after 2 weeks.Conclusion The positional tests and cervical plain x-ray are the simplest ways to diagnose vertigo associated with changes of head position.Physical therapy and medication are effective.It is suitable to promote in the grass-roots hospitals.

Objectives To investigate the clinical significance of CYP2C19 genotype detection for antiplatelet therapy of elder cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases(CCVD).Methods We enrolled all elderly patients with either cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disorders who received clopidogrel as mono drug or in combination with another antiplatelet drug aspirin as secondary prevention for more than 12 months in our hospital from January to August 2015.Somatotypes of CYP2C19 genotypes of all participants were assessed to analyze the relapse of cardiac-cerebral vascular diseases in these patients.Results A total of 250 patients were enrolled,including 179 male and 71 female,with average age of (85.2 ± 7.9) years.Among these patients,there were 97 (38.8％) cases with EM CYP2C19 genotypes,110 cases(44.0 ％) with IM CYP2C19 genotypes,43 cases(17.2 ％) with PM CYP2C19 genotypes.When treated with clopidogrel for antiplatelet in secondary prevention process,the rate of the relapse in cardiovascular event was 34.9％ and higher in PM CYP2C19 genotype than in EM and IM CYP2C19 genotype (19.6 ％ and 15.5 ％,respectively) (x2 =7.251,P =0.027).This phenomenon was similar to patients who received stent implantation(x2=6.393,P =0.041).However,no statistically significant difference was observed in the recurrence rate of cerebral vascular disease between three different genotypes(EM 29.9 ％,IM 20.0 ％,PM 27.9％,x2 =2.880,P =0.237).Conclusions Our results highlight that CYP2C19 genotype might be a potential guidance for secondary prevention of cardiovascular and cercbrovascular disorders among elderly patients.Clopidogrel may be less effective in patients with SM CYP2C19 genotype than those with EM or PM CYP2C19 genotype for secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease.

Objective To evaluate left ventricular systolic synchronicity in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy by V-plane imaging and compare with clinical commonly used tissue Doppler imaging (TDI),evaluate the relevance and consistency between these two parameters.Methods 20 patients diagnosed with DCM and 20 healthy controls were enrolled,2D images,V-plane imaging and TDI waveform were acquired.Time to peak velocity of left ventricular 12 segments were measured by TDI and the standard deviation (TDI_SD) were calculated.Displacement time to peak were measured by V-plane and the standard deviation (V-plane_SD) were calculated.Results Compared with control group,TDI_SD and V-plane_SD increased significantly (P ＜ 0.01),TDI time to peak increased and V-plane time to peak decreased significantly(P ＜0.01).In the two group,12 segment time to peak measured by V-plane were significantly higher than TDI(P ＜ 0.01).There was a significant correlation between TDI_SD and V-plane_SD (r =0.925,P ＜0.001).Bland-Altman plot showed that 95％ plots of ratio of TDI_SD and V-plane_SD were among limits of agreement,which was (0.50,1.36).Conclusions Left ventricular systolic synchronicity in DCM patients can be observed by V-plane imaging.V-plane has significant relevance and consistency with TDI,and can overcome the limitations of TDI that 12 segments can not be displayed in the same cardiac cycle.

Objective To forward the concept of solution space of pharmacokinetics for studying radiophannaceutical distributions in animal models. Methods On the basis of special solutions of differential equations of pharmacokinetics, the solution space was established using the characteristics of linearly independent particular solutions and used to express the pharmacokinetics of pharmaceuticals in vivo. 0. 2 ml (7.4 MBq) 2β-carbomethoxy-3β- (4-corophenyl)-8-(2-18F-fluoroethyl) nortropane (18F-FECNT) was injected through tail vein into normal mice. The mice were sacrificed by decapitation at 5, 15, 30, 60, 120 and 180 min post-injection. Brain tissues were removed and weighed, and radioactivity was counted with the γ-counter. The solution space theory was used to study pharmacokinetics of 18F-FECNT in brain tissues of mice. Results The result showed that all solutions of pharmacokinetics models, based on differential equations, were included in the solution space. The solution of any organ or tissue could be linearly expressed by bases of the solution space. When the dimension number of the solution space was no more than 3, the solution could be directly expressed with coordinate picture. By this rule in our theory, the quantity of 18F-FECNT in brain tissues of mice changed with time, which was accorded with the experiment. The coordinates of striatum, frontal cortex, temporal cortex, occipital cortex, parietal cortex, hippocampus and cerebellum in the solution space were ( 10.13, 1.49), (4.27, 0. 84), (4.48, 0.81 ), (2.89, 0.98), (3.65, 0. 83),(3.55, 0. 98) and (2.03, 1.25 ), respectively. Conclusion The theory of solution space could be used to study pharmacokinetics of 18 F-FECNT in mice brain.

Objective:To compare the pharmacoeconomics value of domestic olanzapine with imported olanzapine in the treatment of schizophrenia to provide reference for the rational drug use in clinics. Methods:Two hundred patients with schizophrenia were ran-domly divided into group A ( treated with domestic olanzapine ) and group B ( treated with imported olanzapine ) with 100 cases in each. The treatment course was 8 weeks. The patient’ s condition, adverse reactions, social function, quality of life and daily activity in the two groups were evaluated. Meanwhile, cost-efficacy analysis was performed. Results:The scores of PANSS, SDSS, SQLS and ADL after the treatment were all significantly lower than those before the treatment in both groups (P<0. 01). However, there was no significant difference between the two groups (P>0. 05). In the 2nd and 4th weekend after the treatment, the scores of TESS in group A were all significantly higher than those in group B (P<0. 01). The effectiveness of the two groups was similar. The cost in group A was significantly lower than that in group B(P<0. 01). The efficacy-cost ratio in group A was higher than that in group B(P<0. 01). Conclusion:The domestic olanzapine is as effective and safe as imported olanzapine in the treatment of schizophrenia with lower treat-ment cost. Therefore, the pharmacoeconomics value of domestic olanzapine is much better.

Recent studies suggested that the prostate cancer may arise from prostate cancer stem cells that share some same characteristics with normal stem cells. The purpose of this study was to detect the differences of Nanog expression between PC3 prostate cancer cell line and its tumor stem cells, and the relationship was preliminarily examined between Nanog and prostate cancer and its tumor stem cells. By using magnetic active cell sorting (MACS), we isolated a population of CD44(+)/CD133(+) prostate cancer cells that display stem cell characteristics from PC3 cell line. Immunohistochemistry revealed positive expressions of CD44, CD133 and α(2)β(1)-integin in the isolated cells. CCK-8 analysis showed that isolated cells had a strong proliferative ability. The formation of the cell spheres in serum-free medium and holoclones in serum-supplied medium showed that the cells were capable of self-renewing, indicating that the isolated cells were a population of cancer stem-like cells derived from PC3 cell line. Western blotting exhibited that the isolated cells had higher experession of Nanog, an embryonic stem marker, as compared with PC3 cells. Our study showed that Nanog might be helpful in sustaining the self-renewal and the undifferentiation of prostate cancer stem cells, and may serve as a marker for prostate cancer stem cells for isolation and identification.
