1.CT Features of Large Adrenal Adenoma and Comparison of Pathological Feature between Large Adenoma and Small Adenoma
Journal of Practical Radiology 2000;0(12):-
Objective To analyze the CT features of large adrenal adenoma and to compare the pathological features of large adenoma and small adenoma in order to improve the diagnosis of large adenoma. Methods The unenhanced and enhanced CT images of 14 patients with large adrenal adenoma, proven surgically and pathologically and pathological features of small adrenal adenomas in 30 cases were retrospectively reviewed. The pathological features were evaluated in the cell composition, the incidence of cystic degeneration and hemorrhage of large adenoma and small adenoma. Results 14 large adenomas were unilateral and single,3 had distinct margin and 11 had indistinct margin,14 showed regular contour of round or ellipse, the size of tumors were 5 cm?5.5 cm~18 cm?20 cm.14 large adenomas presened heterogenous density in unenhanced CT study with CT value of-36~51 HU,and 3 showed calcification and 6 showed cystic degeneration. Most of the 14 adenomas presented heterogenenous enhancement after contrast administration.Pathologic examination indicated that the clear cells were predominant in the cell composition of small adenoma, while in the case of large adenoma, the proportion of compact cell predominance was equivalent to that of the clear cell and compact cell concomitance.3 small adenomas and 6 large adenomas had cystic degeneration,5 small adenomas and 4 large adenomas had hemorrhage respectively.Statistical analysis suggested that large adenoma had higher incidence of degeneration than that in small adenoma, while no difference was found in the cell composition and incidence of hemorrhage between large adenoma and small adenoma. Conclusion The large adrenal adenomas have higher incidence of degeneration than that in small adenoma, while no difference is found in cell composition and incidence of hemorrhage between large adenoma and small adenoma.
2.Application of zebra fishes in studies on traditional Chinese medicines.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(5):822-827
The zebra fish model, as an integral animal model, features small volume, high throughput, low cost, short cycle and reliable experimental results, thus has been widely used in medical studies. Traditional Chinese medicines (TCM) constitute a complex system, their active ingredients and action mechanisms are among study hotspots in during the development of modern TCMs. Along with the constant improvement of advanced technologies and methods, zebra fishes have been increasingly applied in studies on TCMs and shown advantages in active screening, and toxicity and metabolism studies. In this paper, TCM studies by using zebra fishes in recent years are summarized to provide new ideas and methods for basic studies on TCMs.

Objective To observe the cell apoptosis, oxidative stress reaction and expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax in kid?ney of dietary zinc deficiency mice during growth period, and discuss the mechanism of renal cell apoptosis induced by zinc deficiency. Methods Thirty weaning male mice were randomly divided into zinc-deficient group and zinc-adequate group, and 15 mice for each group. Zinc-deficient group was fed with zinc deficiency diet (0.85 mg/kg), while zinc-adequate group was fed with enough zinc diet (30 mg/kg). The TUNEL method was applied to observe the cell apoptosis, and the apoptotic in?dex was measured. The content of SOD and MDA were detected to observe the oxidative stress reaction in kidney. The ex?pression levels of Bcl-2 and Bax protein were detected by Western blot assay. Results Compared with zinc-adequate group, the cell apoptosis and oxidative stress reaction were increased in zinc-deficient group. The expression of Bcl-2 de?creased, and the expression of Bax increased. The ratio of Bcl-2 and Bax declined in kidney of zinc deficiency mice. Conclu?sion Diet zinc deficiency in growth period may result in the decreased antioxidase, the increased oxidative stress reaction, and the changed Bcl-2 and Bax expression, which promote the occurrence of cell apoptosis in kidney.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(2):283-288
BACKGROUND:Although there is no report of adipose-derived stem cells in ureteral repair, but with the deepening of the research of adipose stem cells, the differentiation conditions of adipose-derived stem cells to the vascular endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells and urothelial cells are more mature, and the experimental research of adipose-derived stem cells in the repair and reconstruction of kidney and bladder is also increasing.
OBJECTIVE:To summarize the adipose-derived stem cells research and its application in damage and repair of urinary system in recent years.
METHODS:The first author retrieved PubMed database and CNKI databases for articles relevant to adipose-derived stem cells in the repair of urinary system published between January 2001 to September 2013 using the keywords of“adipose tissue-derived stem cel/adipose tissue-derived stromal cells/ADSCs;tissue engineering;kidney;ureter;ureathra;bladder;urology”in English and Chinese, respectively. Final y, 52 articles were included for further analysis.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Adipose-derived stem cells which can be found easily and have the unique advantages of multi-directional differentiation ability have been used for repairing and constructing the urinary system. Adipose-derived stem cells provide a new model of treatment for the urinary tract, which solves the traditional problems, including immune rejection, source of organs and ethical issues, and become an ideal cellsource in repair of urinary system. Accumulated data related to adipose-derived stem cells and its experiment and clinical application in repair of urinary system injuries have been reported. But before the cells are widely used in clinic, the fol owing problems need to be solved:its specific surface marker identification, specific conditions and control of celldifferentiation, mechanisms of action.

Objective To systematic review the clinical efficacy and safety of infliximab in treatment of severe alcoholic hepatitis (SAH).Methods The electronic database of PubMed,EMbase,Web of Science,OVID and Cochrane systematic review database,CBM disc and CNKI from building the database until March 2013 were retrieved. With SAH,severe alcoholic hepatitis, infliximab and tumor necrosis factor as key words or free words.Randomized-controlled trials (RCT) on infliximab in treatment of SAH was selected and analyzed by Meta analysis. Results Two RCTs was enrolled, included 56 SAH patients.Infliximab (10 mg/kg) combined with glucocorticoids (40 mg/d) might accelerate death because of the high prevalence of serious infections.Infliximab (5 mg/kg) combined glucocorticoids (40 mg/d) had more tolerability and improved patient's Maddrey scores significantly. Conclusions Existing clinical evidence suggest that it is short of evidence for the clinical efficacy and safety of infliximab. It need guide by large sample of clinically and different doses RCT.
