Objective To evaluate the role of the expression of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) in the reduction of renal ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury by ischemic postconditioning in tats. Methods One hundred and forty healthy male SD rats weighing 250-280 g were randomized into 4 groups ( n = 35 each) : sham operation group (S group) ; I/R group; ischemic postconditioning group (IPo group); quercetin (an inhibitor of HSP) + ischemic postconditioning group (Q + IPo group). Renal I/R was produced by clamping bilateral renal pedicels for 45 min followed by reperfusion. In group S, bilateral kidneys were only exposed through a midline incision but their- pedicels were not clamped. In IPo and Q + IPo groups, 45 min ischemia was followed by three 10 s episodes of ischemia at 10 s intervals for reperfusion and in addition intraperitoneal quercetin 100 mg/kg was injected at 1 h before ischemia in group Q + IPo. Blood samples from hearts were obtained at 0, 1, 3, 6, 12, 24 and 48 h of reperfusion (T0-6) and the rats were then sacrificed and kidneys removed to detect the expression of HSP70 and HO-1 mRNA and protein in renal tissues. The blood samples obtained at T3 were used to determine serum creatinine (Cr) and urea nitrogen (BUN) concentrations and the expression of caspase-3 mRNA . The apoptosis in the renal tissues was detected using TUNEL and apoptotic index ( AI) was calculated. Microscopic examination was performed with light microscope. Results Compared with group S, the serum Cr and BUN concentrations and AI were significantly increased at T3,the expression of caspase-3 mRNA was up-regulated at T3, and the expression of HSP70 and HO-1 mRNA and protein was up-regulated at T0-6 in the other groups (P < 0.05) . Compared with group I/R, the serum Cr and BUN concentrations and AI were significantly decreased at T3, the expression of caspase-3 mRNA was down-regulated at T3, and the expression of HSP70 and HO-1 mRNA and protein was up-regulated at T1-5 in group IPo ( P < 0.05) . Compared with group IPo, the serum Cr and BUN concentrations and AI were significantly increased at T3, the expression of caspase-3 mRNA was up-regulated at T3, and the expression of HSP70 and HO-1 mRNA and protein was down-regulated at T1-5, in group Q + IPo ( P < 0.05) . The microscopic examination showed that the renal I/R injury was significantly attenuated by ischemic postconditioning and the degree of injury in group IPo was similar to that in group I/R. Conclusion The expression of HSP70 and HO-1 is involved in the reduction of renal I/R injury by ischemic postconditioning in rats.

Objective To discuss the research status and hotspots related to breeding, planting, harvest, processing and storage of Lycium L. in China. Methods Relevant literature about breeding, planting, harvest, processing and storage of Lycium L. in CNKI from January 2004 to December 2013 was retrieved by computers. CiteSpaceⅡ was introduced to carry out key word analysis, high-frequency key word obtaining, co-occurrence network of high-frequency key words, and dendrogram of high-frequency words. Results Totally 759 articles were included. Key words about breeding were “genetic diversity”, “male sterile”, “its sequence”, “callus issue”, and“anther culture”. Key words about planting were“output”,“quality”,“hard twig cuttage”,“irrigation amount”. Key words about harvesting and processing were“picking machine of Lycium L.”,“drying kiln of Lycium L.”,“hot air drying”, and “combined drying”. Key words about storage were “pesticide residue”, “heavy metal”, and“organophosphorus pesticide”. Co-occurrence network of high-frequency key words showed that the research hotspots were pesticide residue, test of heavy metal and the storage of fresh fruits. Dendrogram of high-frequency key words showed that the high-frequency key words were “package”, “refreshment”, and “lycium barbarum polysaccharide”. Conclusion The research hotspots of planting of Lycium L. are planting skills effecting the output and quality of Lycium L.; In the field of harvesting and processing of Lycium L., design and research of picking machine has replaced traditional manual picking. Modern hot air drying has already replaced traditional drying in the sun or drying skills; In the aspect of storage of Lycium L., the study on the refreshment of Lycium L. has attached attention.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(8):755-758
OBJECTIVETo observe the clinical efficacy differences among warming-promotion acupuncture, regular acupuncture and psychological care for post-earthquake depression.
METHODSNinety cases of post-earthquake depression in Gansu province were randomly divided into a warming-promotion acupuncture group, a regular acupuncture group and a care group, 30 cases in each one. The psychological treatment was applied in the care group; the regular acupuncture at Baihui (GV 20), Sishencong (EX-HN 1)), Fengchi (GB 20), Shenmen (HT 7), Yang-lingquan (GB 34), Taichong (LR 3) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6) was used in the regular acupuncture group; based on the treatment of regular acupuncture group, the warming-promotion acupuncture was applied in the warming-promotion acupuncture group, once a day. Ten days were taken as one course with an interval of two days between two courses. Totally 3 treatment courses were completed. The Hamilton depression (HAMD) scale before and after treatment in each group was observed while the efficacy was analyzed.
RESULTSAll three treatments were effective for depression. The total cured rate was 86.67% (26/30) in the warming-promotion acupuncture group, which was obviously superior to 50.00% (15/30) in the regular acupuncture group (P < 0.01) and 33.33% (10/30) in the care group (P < 0.001). After the treatment, the score of HAMD was all reduced in three groups, in which the effect in warming-promotion acupuncture group was superior to that in the regular acupuncture group and care group (9.02 +/- 2.37 vs 10.73 +/- 2.28 and 11.05 +/- 2.01, P < 0.05, P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONThe warming-promotion acupuncture has positive effect on post-earthquake depression, which has special effect and is worthy of clinical generalization and application.
