Objective To investigate the expression of IL-10 and IL-6 in tissue and plasma of subtypes lymphoma and its significance. Methods Immunohistochemical technique and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) were used to assess the expression of IL-10 and IL-6 in 97 cases paraffin tissue and plasma samples from different subtypes of lymphoma. Results Expression of IL-10 and IL-6 was positive in all lymphoma tissue samples, but there is no significant difference among different subtypes lymphoma (x2 =0.815, x2 =0.542, P > 0.05). Tumor samples were found positive IL-10 and IL-6 expression in macrophages and vascular endothelial cells by immunohistochemistry respectively. Expression of IL-10 and IL-6 in plasma of lymphoma were higher than that in control respectively [(232.57±191.59) pg/ml vs (59.12±68.35) pg/ml,(80.70±89.68) pg/ml vs (45.68±33.66) pg/ml],with significant difference (t =6.968,t =2.896,P <0.05).IL-10 and IL-6 plasma levels increased with enhanced expression in lymphoma (x2 =0.815,x2 =0.542,P < 0.05).Which was found to be correlated with each other (rs =0.394,P < 0.05). Conclusion The expression of IL-10 and IL-6 had been found at various degrees in tissues and plasma of lymphoma.IL-10 and IL-6 in plasma of lymphoma were higher than that in controls. These results showed that IL-10 and IL-6 may cooperate in vivo with lymphoma cell proliferation and infiltrate. IL-6 and IL-10 maybe served as useful indicators for diagnosis of lymphoma.

Objective To study a improved technique by releasing the orbicularis retaining ligament in orbicularis oculi muscle supension blepharoplasty. Release of the orbicularis retaining ligament could cut off the contact between orbitomalar skin and periosteum at inferior orbital rim, and carry the point of tightening orbitomalar skin in orbicularis oculi muscle supension blepharoplasty. Methods There were 409 patients with apparent orbitmalar fold. The methods of releasing orbicularis retaining ligament and orbital septum fixation were added to improve the orbicularis oculi muscle supension blepharoplasty. Results 409 cases were treated using this method over the past 3 years. All results were satisfactory. No complications were observed. Conclusion This improved method of orbicularis oculi muscle supension blepharoplasty is useful for orbitomalar skin rolling, especially for orbitmalar fold. The release allows effective redraping and upward mobilization of the orbicularis of the lower lid and the premalar soft tissues. This method is a simple, safe and effective procedure for the correction of tear trough deformity and well-demarcated lid/cheek junction in lower eyelid belpharoplasty. It is one of the best choices for lower eyelid blepharoplasty.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of ultrasonic diagnosis for neonatal annular pancreas, analyze the reasons of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis, and improve diagnostic accuracy of ultrasonography for this disease. Methods Clinical data of 98 newborns with annular pancreas confirmed by gastrointestinal contrast and surgery were analyzed retrospectively.Preoperative ultrasonogram were compared with the result of gastrointestinal contrast and surgery.Ultrasound images failed to be correctly dignosed were further studied to summarize diagnostic points for this disease. Results Among the 98 cases, 75 were correctly diagnosed by ultrasound with a diagnostic accordance rate of 76.5%,1 8 were missed diagnosed and 5 were misdiagnosed with a total misdiagnosis rate of 23.5%.Ten cases associated with other congenital gastrointestinal tract anomalies were missed diagnosed due to ignoring scanning pancreas.Five cases were missed diagnosed due to obvious intestinal cavity flatulence.Three cases were missed diagnosed due to lack of awareness of the disease.Five cases were misdiagnosed for duodenal stenosis or duodenal atresia. Conclusions Ultrasound has important diagnostic value for neonatal annular pancreas, providing the dignostic evidences for clinical treatment. Thus it can be used as the preferred auxiliary examination of the disease.Since annular pancreas is often accompanied by other gastrointestinal malformations and can be interfered by abdominal gas, missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis occurred easily. To improve the accuracy of ultrasonic diagnosis, all causes of neonatal gastrointestinal tract obstructions should be considered during the examination.

Objective To observe Meissner's corpuscles in prepuces of different shapes and ages. Methods The Meissner's corpuscles were detected with immunohistochemical stain in 204 prepuce sam- ples of different shapes and ages (3-59 years),and the density of Meissner's corpuscles in every sample was obtained as well. The difference of Meissner's corpuscle densities between phimosis and redundant pre- puce, and correlation between Meissner's corpuscle densities and ages were analyzed with Chi-square test and linear regression, respectively. Results The density of Meissner's corpuscles in redundant prepuce has begun to increase since infancy and reached the peak at the age about 15 years. No significant difference in densities of Meissner's corpuscles between phimosis and redundant prepuce was observed till the age of 20 years, and then there was a trend of disappearance of Meissner's corpuscles in redundant prepuce.A signifi- cantly negative correlation between the densities of Meissner's corpuscles and ages was revealed in redundant prepuce (r=-0.236,P=0.009),whereas an insignificantly positive correlation between the densities of Meissner's corpuscles and ages was shown in phimosis (r=0.193,P=0.084).Conclusions The den- sities of Meissner's corpuscles in redundant prepuce develop synchronically with genital differentiation and accord with the status of sexual function in adult males. The persistent high level of Meissner's corpuscles in adult phimosis might be a mechanism of physiological compensation.
