Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(11):-
Objective To investigate the role of compound traditional Chinese medicine Yiqilin in the regulation of immune-related genes expression in spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHR).Methods Ten SHR were randomly divided into test group(fed with Yiqilin and ordinary food at the ratio of 1:9 for 6 months,n=5)and control group(fed with ordinary food for 6 months,n=5).Total RNA was extracted from myocardial tissues of SHR after 6 months, and gene chip hybridization technique was employed to analyse the expression of immune-regulated genes of myocardial tissues in two groups. The genes with differentiation expression were screened, and were verified by Real-time PCR.Results The expression of 32 immune-related genes were up-regulated in the test group, including interleukin(IL)6 receptor,IL-6 signal transduction factor, chemotatic factor, antigen presenting molecule, antibody receptor, heat shock protein(Hsp), etc.No immune-related gene was down-regulated in test group. The results of 2 immune-related genes(Hsp 105 and Hsp 90)detected by Real-time PCR were consistent with those by gene chip hybridization. Conclusion Part of the immune-related genes in myocardial tissues in SHR may be up-regulated by Yiqiling, which indicates that Yiqiling may play a role in the regulation of expression of immune-related genes in SHR.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(08):-
Zymonomas mobilis was transformed with a polyhydroxybutyrate synthesis operon phbCAB equipped with a pdc promoter from Z. mobilis. For the first time,PHB was produced in recombinant Z.mobilis. Shake flask studies indicated that accumulation of PHB in Zymomonas mobilis increased approximately 10% ethanol productivity for the first 48h of anaerobic fermentation. After that, the PHB effect was observed as insignificant probably due to the exhaustion of the sugar.

Objective: To review the problems existing in the development and application of current electroacupuncture (EA) apparatuses, and provide reference for the development of EA apparatuses. Methods: Related literatures about EA apparatus were derived from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Academic Journal Full-text Database (Wanfang) and Chongqing VIP Database (CQVIP) between 2013 and 2017. Literatures about the development of EA apparatuses and the application for experimental research and clinical treatment published in Chinese journals were retrieved, and the development and application of EA apparatuses were summarized. Results: Among the 107 selected literatures, 48 types of EA apparatuses were used, of which only 11 models could be found in the registration list and within the validity period. There was no registration information for the EA apparatus newly developed in the past 5 years. The EA parameters used in experimental research and clinical treatment in Chinese medicine were different, and the combination of stimulation parameters was diverse. Conclusion: At present, most of the new EA products are still in the experimental or research stage, and the transformation of results has not yet been achieved. Moreover, there is no unified standard for the use of EA apparatus and its stimulation parameters in experimental research and clinical treatment, which is not conducive to the standardization process of EA stimulation.

Objective To investigate the effects of Xuebijing injection on the production of ICAM-1 and its counterreceptor(LFA-1)in ANP of rats at different time points. Methods ANP was induced by multiple points in- jection of 5% chenodeoxycholic acid into the pancreas, followed by ligation of pancreatic duct.Expressions of ICAM- 1 at different time points were assessed by immunohistochemistry method, the expressions of LAF-1 on neutrophils at different time points were detected by flow cytometer. The effect of Xuebijing injection was also evaluated by de- tecting the output of ascitic fluid, amylase level and histological changes in pancreas and lungs. Results The expres- sions of ICAM-1 in pancreas and lung of Xuebijing injection group decreased significantly than those in ANP group at most time points during the research period(P

Objective To investigate change of chemokine mRNA and protein in the patients with diabetes mellitus(DM)complicated infection. Methods Fourty-eight patients with DM complicated infection were studied.Expression of mRNA and protein of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)and interleukin 8 (IL-8)were measured by FQ-PCR,RT-PCR and ELISA.The relationship between hs-CRP,PMNL,IL-8 and MCP-1 were analyzed. Results Expression of mRNA and protein of MCP-1 and IL-8 were increased in the DM patients complicated infection.MCP-1 mRNA(mesured by FQ-PCR)was positively correlated with the protein(IL-8 r = 0.33;MCP-1 r = 0.88;P

Objective: To reconstruct adenovirus vector of breast eukaryotic initiation factor 4E and to observe its effect on the metastasis ability of breast cancer cell line MCF-7. Methods: eIF-4E gene was constructed into adenovirus vector pAD-X by gene recombination technique, which was transformed into 293 packaged cell for high titer adenovirus. Real-time PCR was applied to detect eIF-4E gene expression. eIF-4E siRNA was applied and then transwell cabin assay was used to observe changes of invasion and motor ability of MCF-7 cells transfected with reconstruction adenovirus. Result:The finding of digestion was coincided with expected. eIF-4E gene over-expression was detected in transfected MCF-7 cells with real-time PCR. And the invasion and motor abilities of transfected MCF-7 cells were more significantly inhibited in transwell cabin assay (respectively p

Objective To discuss the intensive gastric cavitary lavage method in treatment of stress ulcer bleeding(SUB).Methods The therapeutic effects of 100 patients with severe SUB in intensive care unit (ICU)from July 2005 to February 2008 treated with intensive gastric cavity lavage method were observed and analyzed. Results In these 100 cases, the bleeding was stopped successfully in 97 cases, the therapeutic effective rate being 97%;there were 17 cases died of complicated pulmonary infection(17%)and 3 cases of bleeding(3%),the total fatality rate being 20%.All the other cases were cured. Conclusion Intensive gastrointestinal lavage therapy is an effective method as acid inhibitor for treatment of SUB,but it can decrease the inhabitant flora in the stomach to pass through gastric-pulmonary route, thus the incidence of pulmonary infection was reduced.

Objective To explore major risk factors for postoperative biliary tract infection associated with endoscopic retrograde cholangiography (ERC), and to evaluate endoscopic nasobiliary drainage (ENBD) for intervening the infection. Methods A total of 512 patients who underwent ERC at the First People's Hospital of Yunnan Province from January 2010 to June 2016 were enrolled and divided into group A and B randomly.Group A underwent ENBD after ERC while group B without. The incidence rates of biliary tract infection in different causes and lesions were compared between the two groups. Results Among the 512 patients, there were 276 cases in group A and 236 cases in group B.The overall postoperative biliary infection rate was 4.30%(22/512).Patients in group A showed a smaller chance of developing postoperative biliary tract infection than that in group B [1.09%(3/276) VS 8.05%(19/236), χ2=15.00, P=0.000].Malignant biliary obstruction was the most common cause (13.46%, 14/104) and the most common site was hepatic portal (13.43%, 9/67).Conclusion ENBD can ensure smooth drainage of bile duct therefore effectively prevent biliary tract infection after ERC, especially for patients with malignant biliary obstruction and hepatic portal lesion.
