Objective To investigate the correlation between body mass index ( BMI) , type Ⅱ diabetes and colorectal neoplastic lesions including adenoma and adenocarcinoma. Methods A total of 971 subjects, aged 20-86, who underwent colonoscopy from July 2008 to July 2009 were included. The body height and weight were measured, and history of type Ⅱ diabetes was recorded. Based on the results of colonoscopy and pathology, the subjects were divided into study group (with confirmed adenoma or adenocarcinoma; n =471) and normal control group (n = 500). All data were analyzed by using logistic multi-factors regression. Results With adjustment for some potential mixed factors, obesity group run 2. 55 times of risk of colorectal adenoma or adencarcinoma compared with the normal weight group (OR = 2.55, 95% CI: 1.26-3.05, P =0.027), among which obese male's risk was 3. 32 (OR =3.32, 95% CI: 1. 50-6. 86, P = 0.007) times of that in normal weight males. There was no correlation between female's BMI and incidence of colorectal adenoma & adencarcinoma. Patients with type Ⅱ diabetes ran 2. 10 times of risk of developing colorectal neoplastic lesions compared with those without ( OR = 2.10, 95% CI: 1. 25 - 3. 57, P = 0.010). Incidence of colorectal adenoma & adencarcinoma was 3 times higher in those with type II diabetes less than 6 years, compared with those with history more than 6 years ( OR = 3.00, 95% CI: 1.05 - 10. 86, P =0. 040), which was not correlated with gender of diabetic patients. Those with both type Ⅱ diabetes and obesity had 3.05 times of risk of colorectal adenoma & adencarcinoma, compared with non-obese diabetic patients (OR = 3.05,95% CI: 1.08 - 18.41, P - 0.041). Conclusion Obesity is positively correlated with colorectal adenoma and adencarcinoma, and obese males run higher risk than females. Type Ⅱ diabetes also leads to a higher incidence of colorectal neoplastic lesions, which will run even higher when combined with o-besity.

International Eye Science 2016;16(7):1329-1331
AIM: To investigate the clinical effect of vitamin B12 eye drops for vision fatigue caused by visual display terminals (VDT).
METHODS: Totally 50 patients (100 eyes) with vision fatigue caused by VDT were averagely divided into two groups. The control group were treated with normal saline, the treatment group were treated with vitamin B12 eye drops, 3 times per day, one drop each time, continuous for 60d. Accommodative parameters and Schirmer Ⅰtest were measured and analyzed before and after treatment.
RESULTS: After treatment, the results of Schirmer Ⅰtest, accommodative amplitude and accommodative facility of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group ( all P < 0. 05 ). And the results of accommodation lag of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION: Vitamin B12 eye drops can lessen symptoms of dry eye, improve accommodative function and treat vision fatigue caused by VDT.

Objective To study the causes of rehematomas after operations of traumatic hematomas of perisylvian area. Methods The causes of 50 cases of rehematoma after operation were analyzed retrospectively. Results The big hematoma in primary contusion and laceration of brain happened in 19 cases(38%),delayed epidural hematoma in opposite side in 15 cases(30%),increased intracerebral hematoma in 9 cases(18%),epidural hematoma in primary area in 3 cases(6%),subdural hematoma caused by postoperative lumbaropuncture in 3 cases(6%),hematoma in encephalonecrosis in 1 case(2%).Conclusion Insuitable operation and hemostasis are the main causes of rehemorrhage, and fracture line in the opposite side, and thrombocytopenia are high risk factors of rehematoma.

Seven guaiane-type sesquiterpenoids, a new compound 6-formyl-5-isopropyl-3-hydroxymethyl-7-methyl-1H-indene (1), a new natural product 5-isopropyl-3, 7-dimethyl-1H-indene-1-one (2), along with five known compounds: guaiazulene (3), 4-formyl-7-isopropyl-10-methylazulene (4), sesquiterpene ketolactone (5), alismoxide (6) and guaia-1 (5), 6-diene (7), were isolated from gorgonian Muriceides collaris collected in South China Sea. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis [MS, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR (DEPT), HMQC, HMBC, NOESY] and by comparison of the spectral data with those of the literatures.

OBJECTIVE:To develop a method for the concentration determination of olanzapine, risperidone and paliperidone in human plasma.METHODS:After liquid-liquid extraction, using buspirone hydrochloride as internal standard, the concentration of plasma sample was determined by UPLC-MS/MS.The determination was performed on ACQUITY UPLCTM BEH C18 column with mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.01 mol/L ammonium formate solution (gradient elution) at flow rate of 0.2 mL/min.The column temperature was 45 ℃,and sample size was 5 μL.The electrospray ionization source was adopted for positive ion scanning under MRM mode.Ion-pairs for quantitative analysis were as follows:m/z 313.29→256.25 (olanzapine),m/z 411.42→191.19 (ris peridone),m/z 427.45→207.18 (paliperidone) and m/z 386.43→122.37 (internal standard).RESULTS:The linear ranges of olanzapine, risperidone and paliperidone were 0.426-108.954,0.213-54.476,0.213-54.476 ng/mL,respectively.RSDs of inter-day and intra-day were all lower than 20%.The recoveries of them ranged 83.3%-112.9%,90.0%-109.8% and 95.2%-114.9%,respective ly.Extraction recoveries ranged 65.5%-95.0%,73.9%-98.5% and 73.6%-99.4%,respectively.Both plasma matrix effect and dilute effect didn't influence the determination of plasma concentration. The plasma concentrations of olanzapine, risperidone and paliperidone in 100 schizophrenia patients were (103.3 ± 73.6),(13.1 ± 13.1) and (23.2 ± 20.0) ng/mL,respectively.CONCLU SIONS:The method is simple, rapid, sensitive and specific. It can be used for the determination of plasma concentration and pharmacodynamic study of olanzapine, risperidone and paliperidone.
