45?,poor containment of femoral head,narrow joint space,and non-successive Shenton's line.Following Crowe classification,there were 5 cases(5 hips) of grade II,and 3 cases(3 hips) of grade III.Preoperative Harris hip score was 50 points(range,44-62 points).Total hip arthroplasty was employed in each patient.Prosthesis was fixed by Cementless or cemented modes.Cementless fixation was applied in 6 hips and cemented fixation in 2 hips.Cementless prosthesis was used on the affected side in each patient.Replacement time,bleeding volume during surgery,hospital days post-surgery,Harris scores,and peri-operative complications were recorded.Simultaneously,post-surgery healing was observed.All 8 cases were followed up for an average period of 6 months.All patients exhibited well recovered joint function.No infection,sciatic nerve injury,dislocation of hip joint,fracture of femoral shaft,thrombosis of deep veins,or prosthesis loosening were found in any follow-up case.Six months after surgery,Harris hip score was 88 points(range,86-94 points).Radiographs taken at 3 months post-surgery displayed the bone union of surgical region.All these findings suggest that acetabular medial wall displacement osteotomy in total hip arthroplasty produces obvious early-and middle-stage effects in treatment of hip dysplasia.

The present study retrospectively analyzed 8 patients with hip dysplasia (8 hips) comprising 2 males and 6 females, aged 46 years old (range, 35-65 years old) who received treatment at the Department of Orthopedics, Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University between September 2004 and November 2006. This paper analysis and design of signaling transfer mechanism based on Third-Party Certification, which called quality prestige index of TCM enterprises (QPITCM). QPITCM can display quality information as a signal run through the TCM market.

Kyrgyzstan is a mountainous country in the northeastern part of Central Asia which shares borders to the southeast with China. Due to their extreme environment and climate, there are a diverse range of species of plants. Many of the plants used in Kyrgyz folk medicine have not been studied using modern scientific techniques. This paper introduced the basic situation of medicinal herbs in Kyrgyzstan by comparing the differences traditional use between China and Kyrgyzstan, and looked for traditional medicinal plant research to provide basis for the development and cooperation of China and Kyrgyzstan.

Objective To undertake animal experimentation and clinical study on the safety and efficacy of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) and intraarterial papaverine (IAP) infusion for treatment of refractory symptomatic cerebral vasospasm (CVS). Methods In the experimental study, vasospasm was induced in rabbits by double injections of blood into the cisterna magna, IAP infusion was given on either the 4th day or the 7th day after occurrence of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), and then neurological observation, angiography, light and electron microscopy were done. In the clinical study, since September 1996, 22 patients with refractory symptomatic CVS involving 50 vascular territories received dilation therapy by PTA and IAP within 24 hours of clinical neurological deterioration. Results In the experimental study, all the rabbits except two in the 'the 4th day' group showed angiographic dilation in all of the spastic basilar arteries, and neurological improvement; in the ' the 7th day' group angiographic dilation appeared in 4 (57. 1% ) out of 7 rabbits. After 24 hours, 1 rabbit in each group had recurrence of neurological deficits and angiographic constriction. In the clinical study after aneurysm clipping or endovascular coil embolization was done, within 72 hours of SAH all patients underwent endovascular treatment: PTA alone in 3 cases, IAP alone in 14 cases, PTA and IAP in the remaining 5 cases. All vessel segments were dilated satisfactorily after endovascular treatment. Clinical improvement was significant in 13 cases,moderate in 7, minimal or none in 2; 2 cases died on the 7th day after endovascular dilation treatment. Conclusion Endovascular dilating techniques, namely, PTA, IAP and a combination of PTA and IAP, are safe and effective for treatment of symptomatic CVS refractory to medical therapy.

Objective To investigate the procedures and therapeutic effects of reoperation of papillary thyroid carcinoma with lymph node metastasis.Methods The clinical data of 10 papillary thyroid carcinoma patients with lymph node metastasis received reoperation were retrospectively studied. Results Reoperation was successfully performed in 9 patients except one patient with tumor surrounding common carotid artery and brachial plexus who had partial tumor removed. Three patients had simple lymphectomy,2 had complete thyroidectomy, 2 had complete lobectomy plus ipsilateral cervical lymph node dissection and 2 had tumor resection plus cervical lymph node dissection. There were no new complications. Conclusions Papillary thyroid carcinoma has the characteristic tend to spread to spread to cervical lymph nodes. Rreoperation offers good outcome for recurrent papillary thyroid carcinoma.

Purpose To establish normative reference ranges of fetal azygos vein between gestation 20.0 and 40.0 weeks and analyze the possible correlation between azygos vein diameter and gestational age.Materials and Methods Retrospectively analyzed the data which collected from pregnant women with singleton pregnancies,1375 fetuses with normal outcome were included.The gestation was from 20.0 weeks to 40.0 weeks.The research objects were divided into 5 groups according to their gestational age and were examined standardized.The fetal normal reference value of azygos vein and its correlation with gestational ages were analyzed.Results The normal reference value of the fetal azygos vein diameter was established.We found that a significant increase linear between the diameter of fetal azygos vein and the gestation age.There was no obvious correlation with sex.The ratio of azygos vein and descending aorta inner diameter was about 0.36.There was on obvious changes in different gestational ages.Conclusions Fetal echocardiography technology can accurately assess fetal cardiac structure,the establishment normal reference value of azygos vein diameter could provide guidance for fetal echocardiography examination.

Objective To investigate the effects of a miRNA family member, let-7e, and a combi-nation of miR-106b and miR-20a on the expression of cytokines by THP-1 cells with Luminex xMAP technol-ogy.Methods The efficiency of transfection was evaluated by immunofluorescence assay after transfecting THP-1 cells with micrONTM mimic negative control (Cy3) for 24 h, 36 h and 48 h.The three miRNA mim-ics (let-7e, miR-106b and miR-20a) were respectively used to transfect the THP-1 cells for 24 h, 36 h and 48 h and the expression of each miRNA was analyzed by qRT-PCR analysis for screening out the optimal transfection time.The transfected THP-1 cells were stimulated with1 mg/L of LPS for 1 h.The Luminex xMAP technology was used to detect the expression of IL-8, interferon-inducible protein-10 (IP-10), mono-cyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP-1), IL-1α, IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, IFN-αand IFN-βin the supernatants of cell culture.A statistical analysis was performed to analyze the data obtained by using SPSS16.0 software. Results More than 90% of the transfected THP-1 cells were labeled with red fluorescence.The optimal transfection times for let-7e mimic and miR-106b/miR-20a mimics were 48 h and 24 h, respectively.Com-pared with the corresponding negative control (NC), the expression of IL-8, IP-10 and MCP-1 by THP-1 cells were enhanced after the transfection with let-7e mimic, but were inhibited after the co-transfection with miR-106b and miR-20a mimics.Conclusion The expression of IL-8, IP-10 and MCP-1 were enhanced in let-7e transfected THP-1 cells, but were inhibited in miR-106b and miR-20a co-transfected THP-1 cells.
