ObjectiveTo investigate the feasibility and influence factors of a new silver salt method for determination of arsenic in drinking water. Methods Arsenic was determined at different reaction temperature, acidity, specification and addition of zinc granular, fill weight of lead acetate cotton, and the effect of these factors on assay results was observed. Arsenic in drinking water was determined in accordance with standard test methods (GB/T 5750.6) of the new silver method. Results The recoveries of the arsenic were 75.3% - 93.6%(F =9.21,P < 0.01 ) with reaction temperature at 10 - 30 ℃, and the best reaction temperature was 25 ℃. The recoveries of the arsenic ranged from 80.3% - 91.6%(F =4.67, P< 0.05) when sulfuric acid was 3.0 - 6.0 ml and the best value was 5.0 ml. The recoveries of the honeycomb structural zinc granular(diameter 0.2 - 0.3, 0.3 - 0.4 mm) and button zinc granular were 87.2%, 90.7% and 83.0%, respectively; the best specification was 0.3 - 0.4 mm. The recoveries of zinc granular weight(3 - 5 g ) were 74.6% - 91.7%, respectively; the best was 5 g. The recoveries ranged from 79.6% - 91.3% with fill weight of lead acetate cotton at 25 - 100 mg, the best fill weight was 50 mg.The recoveries of the arsenic were 90.7%, 92.5%, 81.5% and 74.2% with lead acetate cotton length at 0.5 - 2.0 cm,and the best loose-tight degree was 1.0 cm. The stability time of arsine solution was 5.0, 4.0, 2.5 h with corresponding temperature at 20, 25, 30 ℃, respectively. ConclusionsIn order to ensure precision and accuracy of the measurement, it is necessary to control reaction temperature, acidity, specification and addition of zinc granular free from arsenic, fill weight of lead acetate cotton and loose-tight degree in the reaction system.

Objective To investigate the expression and significance of transforming growth factor-beta1(TGF-? 1),transforming growth factor-beta receptor typeⅠ(TGF-? RⅠ) in human ovarian carcinoma. Methods Inmmunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the expression of TGF-? 1 and TGF-? RI in 85 cases of benign and malignant ovarian tumors. Results The positive rate of TGF-? 1 in benign and malignant ovarian tumors was significantly higher than that in the normal ovarian tissues(P

OBJECTIVE:To develop a HPLC method for simultaneous determinatio n of ofloxacin and dexamethasone ac?etate in compound ofloxacin ear drops.METHODS:The analysis was carried on a XDB-C 8 ,the mobile phase was composed of methanol-potassium dihydrogen phosphate(0.02mol/L)by gradient elution, the flow rate was1.0ml/min,the column tem?perature was30℃and the detection wavelength was at240nm.RESULTS:The detectable concentrations of ofloxacin and dexamethasone acetate showed good linear correlation in the ranges of100~500?g/ml and10~30?g/ml respectively, the av?erage recoveries of ofloxacin and dexamethasone acetate were100.6%(RSD=0.46%,n=9)and101.3%(RSD=0.72%,n=9)respectively.CONCLUSION:The method is accurate and reproducible and can be used for determination of ofloxacin and dexamethasone acetate in compound ofloxacin ear drops.

ObjectiveTo investigate the expression of caspase-3 in the brain of acutely pentylenetetrazole(PTZ)-kindled rats.MethodsThe caspase-3 positive cells were revealed using immunohistochemical SP method. CMIAS image analysis system was used to analyse the expression of caspase-3 hemi-quantitatively. ResultsFollowing PTZ induced epilepsy, the expression of caspase-3 increased both in the hippocampus and in the cortex, and that was more remarkable in the hippocampus than in the cortex.ConclusionCaspase-3 may be activated during neuronal apoptosis after epilepsy. Hippocampus is more sensitive to the neuronal damage due to epilepsy than the cortex is.

OBJECTIVETo invesitigate the clinical effects of percutaneous closed reduction and cannulated screw internal fixation combined with external fixation in the treatment of unstable pelvic fractures.
METHODSFrom April 2006 to May 2009,29 patients with pelvic fractures of rotatory instability were treated with closed reduction and screw internal fixation combined with external fixation. There were 19 males and 10 females with an average age of 31 years old (ranged from 19 to 53 years). Based on the Tile classification,17 cases were type CI and 12 case were type C2. Tornetta standard and Majeed score were used to evaluated the clinical effect after operation.
RESULTSAll patients were followed up from 10 to 24 months with an average of 16 months. There were no nerve injuries and other organ injuries, only one case of infection was found and it was cured with wound dressing. Time of fracture union was from 14 to 18 weeks with the mean of 16.2 weeks. No loosening, slippage or breakage of the screw were found. According to the Tornetta standards,14 cases obtained excellent results, 10 good, 4 fair and 1 poor. The Majeed score was 87.2 ± 11.3, 16 cases got excellent results, 9 good and 4 fair.
CONCLUSIONClosed reduction and screw internal fixation combined with external fixation is an effective way to treat unstable pelvic fractures with Tile type C1 and Tile type C2.
