Three Gram-negative bacteria from commercial fresh fish were identified as Pseudomonas sp.,an important food spoilage bacteria, on the basis of 16S rDNA sequences.N-aeyl-homoserine lactones (AHLs) were the important quorum sensing molecules and regulated the expression of many characteristics in a cell-density-dependent manner in Gram-negative bacteria.The AHL biosensor detection revealed that three isolates produced AHLs molecules and strains FML05-1 and FML05-2 produced two types of AHLs at least and the main signal mole- cules were N-3-oxo-octanoyl-homoserine lactone(N-3-oxo-C_8-AHL).ALso the amount of AHL in FML05-2 reached to the maximum at 12h throughout growth.This was first study of quorum sensing signal molecule AHLs produced by the pseudomonas from food and layed the foun- dation for new strategies of food preservation based on interfering in quorum sensing of spoilage bacteria.

Objective To investigate the changes of growth arrest and DNA damage inducible gene ?(GADD45?)expression during 3T3-L1 preadipocyte differentiation and analyze the regulative role of tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-?) on GADD45? gene expression in matured 3T3-L1 adipocytes.Methods 3T3-L1 preadipocytes were cultured in vitro and differentiated into the matured adipocytes.TNF-? in different concentrations(0.1,1.0,10.0 ?g/L) was added into the culture medium of fully differentiated adipocytes(day 10) for various times(0.5,2,6,12,24 h).The levels of GADD45? gene mRNA expression were evaluated by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results With the 3T3-L1 preadipocytes being differentiated into the matured adipocytes,the level of GADD45? gene mRNA expression was downregulated and reached the lower level in fully differentiated adipocytes.There was a significant difference between any 2 detected phases in the levels of GADD45? gene mRNA expression(P0.05).Treatment of day 10(3T3-L1) adipocytes with TNF-? of different concentrations resulted in a significant increase in the level of GADD45? gene mRNA expression.The induction effect of TNF? on GADD45? gene mRNA expression generally tended to be reinforced with the elongation of time course.Conclusions GADD45? gene may be involved in adipocyte differentiation and adipogenesis.TNF-? can upregulate the mRNA expression of GADD45? gene in matured adipocytes.The induction effect of TNF-? on GADD45? gene expression is generally(time-)correlated.

Objective: To investigate applicability for Boston naming test (30 items) (BNT) in Chinese elderly and identify effect for mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's dementia(AD) using BNT. Methods:100 normal elderly, 38 amnesic MCI, 34 mild AD and 38 moderate AD were evaluated by neuropsychological tests (include BNT, mini mental state examination and auditory verbal memory test, etc). MMSE total score of 4 groups were 28.4?1.5, 26.1?2.6, 20.7?1.7, and 15.6?3.3, respectively. Results: Age, sex, level of education were found to be significant factors affecting overall scores of spontaneous naming in normal elderly group. Spontaneous naming score for participants of elementary, high school and college groups were 22.2?3.3, 25.5?2.5 and 26.3?1.8, respectively. Scoring of male participants higher than that of females. Spontaneous naming score of 4 groups were 24.9?3.0, 20.9?3.6, 18.7?4.0 and 15.7?4.2, respectively. As cut-off ≤22 score of spontaneous naming of BNT, the sensitivities for MCI, mild AD and moderate AD were 61%, 79% and 95% respectively; the specificities were all around 81%. Selective impairment of unfamiliar items occurred MCI and mild AD and hold of familiar item across diagnostic groups. Semantic cue naming and recognition ability by BNT showed there was progressive damage in AD patients, but less than that of spontaneous naming of BNT. Purpose To establish normative reference ranges of fetal azygos vein between gestation 20.0 and 40.0 weeks and analyze the possible correlation between azygos vein diameter and gestational age.Materials and Methods Retrospectively analyzed the data which collected from pregnant women with singleton pregnancies,1375 fetuses with normal outcome were included.The gestation was from 20.0 weeks to 40.0 weeks.The research objects were divided into 5 groups according to their gestational age and were examined standardized.The fetal normal reference value of azygos vein and its correlation with gestational ages were analyzed.Results The normal reference value of the fetal azygos vein diameter was established.We found that a significant increase linear between the diameter of fetal azygos vein and the gestation age.There was no obvious correlation with sex.The ratio of azygos vein and descending aorta inner diameter was about 0.36.There was on obvious changes in different gestational ages.Conclusions Fetal echocardiography technology can accurately assess fetal cardiac structure,the establishment normal reference value of azygos vein diameter could provide guidance for fetal echocardiography examination.
