Objective To detect the blood parameter, blood biochemical and electrolyte indices of the F1 generation of Rongshui miniature pig ( RMP) .Methods The blood of 43 female and 42 male RMPs of 4 th month old, and 36 RMPs of 12th month old ( half male and female) were extracted from jugular vein. And the blood parameter, blood biochemical and electrolyte indices were detected by blood analyzer and automatic biochemical analyzer. Results In the same month-old RMP, no significant difference between male and female were found in most indices of blood parameter, blood biochemical and electrolyte indices. On the other hand, many indices were difference between 4th month old and 12th month old RMPs of same gender.Compared with the 4th month old RMP, the 12th month old RMP decreased significantly in WBC and PLT, increased in HGB ( P <0.05 ) while RBC was the same ( P >0.05 ) .Serum ALT, AST, ALP, CK (male), LDH(male), A/G, BUN, GLU (female), CHOL (male) and K+decreased significantly (P <0.05), while serum TP, TBIL, CR and Ca2+increased significantly (P <0.05),but serum CHOL, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C were not different.86.4%(19/22) biochemical and electrolyte indices in RMP were in/or close to the range of normal value of human. Conclusion Most of the blood parameter, blood biochemical and electrolyte indices of RMP were close to human’ s normal value.

Chinese Journal of Pathology 2006;35(10):612-615
OBJECTIVETo study the clinical pathological features and immunophenotype of follicular dendritic cell sarcoma (FDCS) with discussion on its diagnostic clues to improve diagnostic level.
METHODSFive cases of FDCS were analyzed by clinical, pathologic and immunohistochemistry methods.
RESULTSFive cases of FDCS were located in the cervical lymph node. Microscopically, the normal architectures were effaced by ovoid, spindle-shaped with fascicular, diffuse or whorled patterns and with rich lightly eosinophilic cytoplasm, syncytial appearance. Nuclei tend to show irregular clustering, scattered multinucleated giant cell. Nucleoli often distinct, sometimes prominent. Mitotic count variable, may show significant cellular pleomorphism. Immunohistochemical studies show that the tumor cells were positive for CD21, CD35, but negative for CD1a, CD34, CK and HMB45. Under electron microscopy, the tumor cells possessed long villus cytoplasmic processes and desmosome-like junctions, Birbeck granules were absent.
CONCLUSIONSFDCS is a rare malignant tumor and differential diagnosis includes Langerhans cell sarcoma, interdigitating dentric cell sarcoma, malignant fibrous histocytoma, melanoma, metastatic spindle cell carcinoma and others. Immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy are necessary for a correct diagnosis.

National Journal of Andrology 2006;12(2):175-177
Though an adequate volume of ethanol relieves nervousness and enhances sexual desire, long term and excessive intake of ethanol can induce sexual dysfunction. The reasons that ethanol results in sexual dysfunction are as follows: ethanol inhibits the hypothalamo-pituitary-testes axis and decreases serum testosterone level. The decline of smooth muscle, choline acetyltransferase and nitric oxide synthase in the penis may be responsible for it.

AIMTo observe the property alteration of K(v) channel in SLE patient's peripheral blood lymphocyte and its significant.
METHODSThe patch-clamp technique was used to record the current of K(V) channel in SLE patient's peripheral lymphocyte.
RESULTSThe current amplitude of K(V) channel in the SLE patient's lymphocytes decreased, it was (258.6 +/- 112.5) pA in healthy people, but in SLE patient it was (139.4 +/- 58.5) pA (P < 0.05). There was no other changes in the property of channel, include activation potential, inactivation property, channel closing kinetics and its pharmacological property.
CONCLUSIONThe decline of SLE patient's cell immunity may be related to the decrease of the amplitude of K(V) channel current.

OBJECTIVETo detect humoral immune response against different function regions of hepatitis C virus (HCV) in chronic patients, and further to investigate the correlativity between anti-HCV antibody titers and HCV RNA concentration.
METHODSUsing recombinant dominate epitope antigens, e.g. HCV Core, NS3, NS4, NS5 and chimeric HVR1, a set of ELISA test reagents was formulated. Then, titers of antibodies against HCV different regions and the RNA concentration of HCV in chronic patient sera were detected by ELISA and quantitative RT-PCR technique, respectively.
RESULTSGreat differences have been noted in antibody titers and positive rate of different HCV function regions in chronic patients. Antibodies against HCV Core and HVR1 have the highest positive rate, then NS3, NS4, and NS5 in sequence.
CONCLUSIONThe titer of antibodies against different regions of HCV in chronic patients has good correlation with HCV RNA concentration.

OBJECTIVETo study the expression of neonatal Fc receptor in podocytes in human nephritis and immune-induced rat nephritis models: anti-Thy1.1 nephritis and Heymann nephritis.
METHODSThirty-nine cases of renal biopsies were enrolled from September 2009 to February 2010, including 8 cases of minimal change disease, 4 cases of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, 9 cases of membranous nephropathy, 12 cases of IgA nephropathy and 6 cases of lupus nephritis. Five normal kidney tissue samples adjacent to renal clear-cell carcinoma were served as normal controls. Laser capture microdissection and real-time RT-PCR were used to assess the expression level of FcRn mRNA in glomeruli of various glomerulonephritides, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) of FcRn by SuperVision method was performed. In addition, rat models of mesangial proliferative nephritis (anti-Thy1.1 nephritis) and passive membranous nephropathy (Heymann nephritis) were established and FcRn was examined in renal tissues by IHC.
RESULTSThe FcRn mRNA level in lupus nephritis was statistically higher than that of normal controls (P < 0.05). FcRn protein expression by IHC was seen in lupus nephritis (6/6), membranous nephropathy (6/9) and IgA nephropathy (7/12), significantly higher than that of normal controls (0/5), P < 0.05. Minimal change disease and focal segmental glomerular sclerosis showed minimal or none expression of FcRn (1/8, 0/4 respectively) and not statistically difference from that of normal controls. Furthermore, FcRn expression in podocytes was detected in rat anti-Thy1.1 (3/5) and Heymann nephritis models (2/7) but was not detected in normal controls.
CONCLUSIONSExpression of FcRn in podocytes was up-regulated in immune-induced human nephritis and rat nephritis models of anti-Thy1.1 nephritis and Heymann nephritis. FcRn may play a role in the development of immune-induced glomerulonephritis.
