Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of improved covered metallic stents for proximal malignant esophageal strictures.Methods A total of 56 patients with proximal malignant esophageal strictures were treated with improved covered metallic stents whose diameter was 14 mm or 16 mm at Shanxi Province Tumor Hospital from Feburary 2013 to August 2014.Swallowing condition, physical and life quality were compared before and after surgery and analyzed.At the same time, side effects and complications were recorded during and after surgery.Results All 56 patients were treated successfully with improved covered metallic stents, no complications related with stents occurred after surgery.Swallowing conditions were improved after surgery, there were 45 patients with obvious improvement, 10 patients with better improvement and 1 patient's stent taken out due to stent intolerance.Remission rate of swallowing conditions was 98.2％ (55/56).Two weeks after surgery, Stooler of swallowing conditions obviously improved (t =7.05, P ＜ 0.05), physical conditions (ZPS) also improved (t =22.49, P ＜ 0.05), but there was no significant difference in life quality (Kamofsky scores) (t =1.07, P ＞ 0.05).During 90 days of follow-up there was no hemorrhage or perforation.Conclusion The application of improved covered metallic stents for proximal malignant esophageal strictures is safe and effective.

Objective To study the rationality of biochemistry teaching of liberal arts students and science students in one class and further to improve the quality of teaching.Methods A total of 138 students of seven-year traditional Chinese medicine of Grade 2013 as the objects of study,among whom there were 58 liberal arts students and 80 science students.Questionnaire were surveyed at the end of the teaching of biochemistry,including evaluation of the teaching effect and teaching reform.138 valid questionnaires were dispatched and recovered.And at the same time unified examination was carried out to both liberal arts students and science students.The t test,chi square test or the exact probability method were used to compare the data of two types of students with SPSS 19.0.Results Questionnaire survey:31.03％ (18/58) arts students and 27.50％ (22/80) science students felt that the class hours were not enough.48.28％ (28/58) arts students thought the weak chemical base to be the main factor affecting learning,and 50.00％ (40/80) science students thought that lack of interest was the most important factor.53.45％ (31/58) arts and 47.50％ (38/80) science students would agree that a metabolic reaction of the material was the most difficult problem.51.72％ (30/58) arts students and 42.50％ (34/80) science students preferred blackboard-writing.Test scores:arts and science students got average grades (70.81 ± 9.71) and (77.05 ± 8.46) respectively,and the difference was statistically significant (t=-4.02,P=0.000).Conclusions Survey results and analysis of test scores shows that teaching of liberal arts students and science students in one class is feasible.However,it is necessary to strengthen the students' chemical basis,improve their learning interest and optimize their learning methods,so as to realize the harmonious development of the students of arts and science,and to improve the overall teaching level.

Objective To understand the characteristics of surface electromyography (sEMG)of vastus medialis muscle fatigue induced by isokinetic flexion and extension movement, and to further provide references for the application of sEMG on dynamical movements.Methods Arial isokinetic equipment and ME6000 equipment were combined to analyze the time domain indices including root mean square (RMS ) integrated electromyography (iEMG)and spectrum indices including median frequency (MF)and mean power frequency (MPF)for vastus medialis from ten students from Shenyang Sport University during isokinetic fatigue.Results During the isokinetic muscle fatigue the RMS and iEMG were significantly increased (P<0.05),accompanying with higher effect sizes for iEMG than for RMS. As for the spectrum indices,MF and MPF were significantly decreased (P<0.05)with larger effect sizes for MPF than for MF. The increase rate of iEMG was significantly higher in iEMG than RMS (P<0.05),and the decline rate of MPF was larger than MF (P<0.05).Conclusion The iEMG as a time domain index and MPF as a spectrum index can be sensitive indexes to assess the dynamic muscle fatigue.

Objective The investigation was to evaluate the efficiency of the frozen shoulder treated by hydraulic distention and manipulation under dynamic arthrography of shoulder joint ,and analyze the in-fluencing factors on the outcome.Methods One hundred patients with frozen shoulders were enrolled the prospective and controlled study,who were divided into two groups randomly.Fifty patients were treated by the hydraulic distention and manipulation under dynamic arthrography of shoulder joint (GroupⅠ),and fifty patients were treated by NSAIDs administration(GroupⅡ).The relationship of clinical results with the amounts of injected fluid during hydraulic distention and manipulation,the range of motion,the visualized rate of the vagina synovialis of long head of biceps brachii tendon and subacromial bursa,and releasing de-gree of joint adherence were observed.The patients consisting of forty-two males and58females aging from42to74years were assessed at two time-intervals.The short term follow-up period ranged from3to6months,and final follow-up from10to21months.Results The clinical results was significantly difference between GroupⅠand GroupⅡdepending on daily activity and range of motion(P

Objective To evaluate the clinical results of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction by bone-patellar tendon-bone(BPB) transplantation and fixation with absorbable interface screws under arthroscopy. Methods From December 1999 to June 2003, 32 patients with ACL injuries underwent BPB transplantation. There were 22 males and 10 females, and the average age was 32.5 years (ranged from 20-45 years). The lesions were left knees in 18 and right knees in 14, including 8 acute and 24 chronic injuries. The BPB for reconstructing the ACL was harvested from the anterior approach mini-invasively; the implants were fixed with the absorbable interface screws under arthroscopy. The associated injuries were treated simultaneously. All the patients were encouraged to rehabilitate with the continuous passive motion (CPM) and other physical therapies earlier after operation. Results All the patients were available at follow-up; the average duration of follow-up was 32 months (ranged from 6-40 months). Before operation, anterior drawer test positive in 32, Lachman test positive in 20 and pivot shift test positive in 16, were changed into negative. The patients were evaluated according to Lysholm knee scoring scale and the modified Lysholm knee score, the functional results of knee joint were classified as excellent in 24, good in 7 and fair in 1, and the average knee score was 52.1?5.6 and 98.7?3.6 before and after operation respectively, the difference was of statistical significance(P

Objective To establish RP-HPLC method for determination of Ginsenosides in effective parts of Naomaitong Granules. Methods Using BDS C18 column (200 mm?4.6 mm, 5 ?m) of Dalian Elite, the mobile phase was a mixture of Acetonitrile-water gradient elution. The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min, the wavelength was 203 nm. Results The average recovery rate of Ginsenoside Rg1, Re and Rb1 was 100.71%, 100.14% and 100.94%, respectively, and RSD was 2.27%, 1.88% and 1.95%, respectively. Conclusion The method is simple, accurate and can be used to control the quality of Naomaitong Granules.

Objective To research the relationship among the disc protrusion on MRI, sex, age, course and the clinical types. Methods MRI was performed for 102 patients. The disc protrusion was divided into three types. According to clinical types, the patients were divided into four types. Statistically, age, course, clinical type and protrusion on MRI were analyzed by SPSS13.0. Results The age was not related with the clinical types and disc protrusion on MRI. There were obvious relations between clinical types and course. There were obvious relations between clinical types and disc protrusion. Conclusion The clinical types are very important on diagnosis of disease stages and choice of therapy in treating lumbar disc protrusion.

Objective　To study the changes of quantitative expression,adhering activity and genomic density polymorphism of complement type 1 in erythrocytes (CR1) of patients with liver cancer (104 patients) and their clinical significance.Methods　Polymerase chain reaction (PCR),HindIII restriction enzyme digestion,the quantitative assay of ECR1 and the adhering activity assay of CR1 in erythrocytes were used.Results　No difference was observed between the patients with liver cancer (29.8%) and healthy individuals (25.3%) in the spot mutation rate of CR1 density gene (χ2 =0.537,P>0.05).The number and the adhering activity of CR1 in patients with liver cancer (0.83±0.22 and 47.1±6.5) were significantly lower than those in healthy individuals (1.26±0.33 and 62.4±7.6; t=10.5,P<0.0001).The number and the adhering activity of ECR1 in high expression genomic type (HH) liver cancer were obviously lower than those of healthy individuals,expecially those of the patients with advanced liver cancer.There was a good relationship between quantitative expression,adhering activity of ECR1 and liver cancer development.Conclusion　Defective expression of CR1 in liver cancer is mostly acquired through central peripheral mechanisms.The changes of CR1 quantitative expression and adhering activity are consanguineously related to the severity and the activity of the development in patients with liver cancer.
